Congrats on the promotion Champfan10. Chaaban did really well for you considering that his stats arent great. What nationally is he?

He's Lebanese, I know I wasn't planning on using him as a starter but then he scored 9 in his first 5 games! He's been released now though.

Hooray for the update! Hopefully it fixes the easy goals from crosses.

Just signed a new defender for my Worksop side, and my defensive line now consists of three 5 star players and one 4.5 star player. With the defensive improvements in the new patch, my defense should be pretty awesome.

YAY!! My defense actually did some defending. Crosses came in which they dealt with, and they closed down players. My keeper even made some saves, instead of standing around doing nothing. I can get back to playing the game again :D Well happy with that.

My decent assistant manager seem to prefer to remain jobless then to come with me for another season even though i was promoted :( stuck with a way worse assman now

also had to switch tactics with new patch cause i was playing terrible.. seem to be somewhat on track again now though with an extremely thin squad.. got 5 subs and no other backups if anyone gets injured

I have a player in my reserves who's on non-contract. He complained that he's not playing regularly for the first team, so I tell him he can leave if he wants. His response is "I'm pleased you've seen sense. Keeping me against my will would be bad for everybody."... First thing, he's non-contract so could leave whenever he wanted. Second, what he said sounds like a threat. He can pee off, if he's going to start making threats! :p

"- Fixed bug where keeper would not prevent team mate's poor control from becoming an own goal

- Fixed one more example of keeper not controlling a backpass"

Thank god for that, I was screaming at my screen when that happened to me.

I decided to start and took over AFC Fylde, Mid table after my opening 4 games ended with 2 wins and 2 losses. Going to put the update on now.

In my last five games, only two goals have come from crosses and there's been no goals from ridiculous angles.

I've seen a few from crosses but not as many as there was before. The goals that came from crosses were due to good movement from the strikers and not poor defending which is a massive improvement.

Kettering Town - npower League 1- 2019/20

Next season we will be playing Championship football. What an amazing season. Started poorly and I decided to rethink my aim of the Play-Offs. After a quick tactical rethink we moved swiftly up the table and stayed in the hunt for the remainder of the season. The Play-Offs were a nervy affair as we bray Preston 3-0 over the two legs. We had to face Ipswich in the final. We took the lead late on and then in the final minute with Ipswich attacking we countered and scored again to win 2-0. What an amazing season.

League Table

Past Positions

Started with 3 defeats in a row and I thought we would have a tough season. Soon started to win games and score penty of goals. We sat in the Play-Offs for the entire second half of the season and I believe we definately deserved promotion. We had the best goal difference in the league and we also scored jointly the highest amount of goals.

Cups - We had some fun in the cups this year. Capital One Cup saw a 2nd round defeat by Premier League Swansea 2-1. The JPT I wasnt interested in and we were knocked out at the quarters. In the FA Cup we made our way to the 5th round where we played Premier League Cardiff City who we managed a 1-1 draw away from home. In the replay we lost 3-0 but we were so close to beating them in the first leg where we would of set up a away tie at Chelsea.

Squad - I thought I had improved massively and I was right. We had a very good squad full of talent all over the pitch. Every player was fantastic when called upon.

Transfers - Corcoran on loan was fantastic and Hayes played well once he recovered from his broken leg. The others all played very well when called upon. Looking forward to seeing what talent is available for next season. Most of the outgoing transfers were youth players I released to free up some wages.

Finances - £1.72m profit this season. We currently have just under £4.5m in the bank. Brilliant.

Key Player Profiles:

Paul Moran - Started slowly but eventually found his scoring boots. Got 39 in 52.

Olegs Semjonovs - 17 assists and 9 goals in a injury hit season was just fantastic.

Callum Robinson - Outscored Paul Moran. 42 goals in 60 games. Top drawer.

James Corcoran - Loanee came in when Bell-Baggie got injured and never lost his place. 20 assists and 6 goals.

Probably my most enjoyable season at the club. Really looking forward to the Championship next season. I imagien it will be a struggle but I hope we are up for the fight.

Okay, after we managed to repeat the result at Croft Park against United, we got our replay at Old Trafford. This is where it gets interesting... Not only did they take 64 minutes to score and only won 2-0, but we gave them a damn good game. We really took it to em. The most important part though...

That money, money, yeah yeah. That money, money, yeah yeah!

57853 people turned up. United's average ticket price is £40. Multiply those together and take our 45% share and that gave us over a million in gate receipts. In fact, we've only played two matches in February so far (the other being at home against Crewe) and our match income is £1,085,538.

Blue Square Bet North 2013/2014 season

What a season that was! We went on an early run of 6 wins in a row and drew before we could break the most wins in a row, then we went on a 6 games winning streak and lost on the 7th game. We was top by Christmas but was looking shaky all over the pitch and drawing and losing a few games and teams started to catch us up and thats when i brought in some experience players to balance the team which helped. Then the break down started with 11 games to go which we won 3 games, drew 4 and lost 4. One of the losses was to Altrincham who when we played them was 2nd and 3 points behind them. It was all down to the last game and we drew! :( but Altrincham lost! So we was crowned Champions.

Season 2013/14 Review - Kendal Town in the Blue Square Bet North

League Table | Past Positions | Playoff Semi Final Leg 1 | Leg 2

Not a bad first go. Got off to an encouraging 6-1-1 start in the first 8, but a trifecta of injuries, cup games and plain bad form brought us back down to earth. Still hovered around the last playoff spot all season and managed to nab it tightly in front of Guiseley. Playoffs... Well, I think we were a bit unlucky what with that own goal ruining the home leg and tired legs not quite managing to see out the 2nd. I feel fairly comfortable in our post patch 4-4-1-1 as long as the key players stay fit.

Squad

Speaking of key players... Berwick and Simpson were really important going down the wings and Kenworthy did surprisingly well up front. It's mostly the same squad that was at the club when I took over; I like to take at least half-to-a-full season or so to get a feel for the players before going on any crazy transfer sprees.

Transfers

Still, a few transfers were indeed made: Downs(loan) and Lomas to fill the empty LB position, McEvilly to give me more options in attack and then Richman(loan) around mid-season to deal with a bit of an MC injury crisis. No one of any exceptional ability really, but I did have high hopes for McEvilly. His pace is unfortunately proving more debilitating than I'd hoped and I haven't quite gotten him going in a TM(S) or DLF(S) role yet. Maybe next season; I gave him a pretty long contract not predicting these problems.

Stadium Expansion

A few extra seats can't hurt. Or, er, standing room...

Aim for next season: Make the playoffs again.

The League

League Table | Position Graph

Not a bad season, a few times through the season we threatened to push for the playoffs beating top teams along the way, but we was inconsistent and dwindled away towards the end of the season.

The Cups

FA Cup & FA Trophy Fixtures |

Not the greatest year, we got done by the draw and didn't play at home. Next season we will try and get a cup run going in either competition.

Top Scorer

Tom Bradshaw

I had Tom on loan last season where he score 7 in 17, my scouts allerted me to the fact he was available on a free so in November I bought him in and he fired in 16 goals in 29 games, but he certainly has the potential to score more if I can keep him..

Aims For Next Season

Playoffs & Keep the squad together.

We had a solid season this year, but must push on next year to be in the playoffs, I will be trying tactics over the summer that can fire us to success, I think one that can get out strikers scoring is a must. I also feel we have a decent squad so I need to keep the lads together with a few additions.

My game must be broken. Not only did Arsenal get to the Champions League final, but they also won the damn thing, beating Man City 7-1 with GIROUD scoring FIVE?!

Oh, I got promoted too... but GIROUD?!

It says in the rules that if Arsenal ever win anything in your save, you have to destroy your laptop immediately.

The League

League Table | Position Graph

Much better season this time around. Started off a little poorly but once the signings were in, business picked up. We endured a bit of a slump half way through the season but we picked ourselves up again with some cracking form to clinch the playoffs.

Playoff Semi Final 1st Leg | Playoff Semi Final 2nd Leg

Despite the loss away to Torquay, we played very well at home to get into the final. Alfie Potter is amazing. As is Adam Morgan, as you'll see...

Playoff Final

Promotion clinched in one amazing game. Adam Morgan was on fire! Four goals in a final! Granted, nothing on Olivier Giroud's five goals in the Champions League final in Arsenal's 7-1 victory against City. Nevertheless, promotion!

The Cups

FA Cup Fixtures | Capital One Cup Fixtures | Johnstone's Paint Trophy Fixtures

The Capital One Cup went as expected, though 4-0 was a bit of a disappointment. Very disappointed in the JPT considering I thought I could win it. The real story is in the FA Cup though. A fantastic run of results took us to a home game against United, which I expected to lose. Nobody saw what was coming.

Blyth v Manchester United | Manchester United v Blyth

We took it to a replay... against United. Over £1m in gate receipts for this match. Not only that but we only lost 2-0 and it took them a long time to get going. We had a good few chances ourselves and it could have went a different way on another day.

Key Players

Carlo Bell | Alfie Potter | Villyan Bijev

In a team full of great performers, these three stand out. Carlo Bell was amazing at right back, the highest average rated player and I hope can bring him in full time. Villyan Bijev was our top scorer and only just pips Adam Morgan and Emyr Huws to the top three players. However, despite what the average rating may suggest, Alfie Potter was the real star of the season. 20 goals from the wing. He was our little Cristiano Ronaldo. Phenomenal player and I urge everyone to try and sign him.

Awards

Fan's Player of the Season

Villyan Bijev

I don't think Villyan is the true deserving winner of this. He may have scored the most goals, but Alfie Potter was the star man.

Top Scorer

Villyan Bijev

It could have easily went to Alfie Potter, Adam Morgan or even Emyr Huws, but Villyan got the most.

Millward Player's Choice Award

Manager's Player of the Season

Alfie Potter

I cannot rave about this guy enough. He was unreal this season, our star man for sure. Hope he performs even half as good in League One.

Jordan Swinburn Award

Surprise of the Season

Taking United to a replay!

We took the game to United and damn it paid off. I posted the financial side of the replay a few posts up. Amazing stuff.

Aims For Next Season

Survive League One!

I think with the squad we already have, we have a good foundation to survive. I'm still after that JPT win.

Capital One Cup Round 2 2019

Capital One Cup Round 2 2020

We get Watford in round 3 at home. Watford are now an established top half Premier League side.

Great effort, cant believe how far through you've gotten. Whats the top of the prem looking like in 2020?

I will be slowing down alot now as I'm back at work on Monday. The Premiership is somewhat similar. Manchester United have won 4 more titles, City another 3. Arsenal Finally won a trophy with the league in 2019. The biggests shocks I suppose are Watford and Norwich becoming established top half teams and the relagation of both Newcastle and Everton both of whom are now back in the league. Sunderland on the other hand are enjoying there second season in League 1.

Fair enough, still impressive to be as far as you are, though.

I got spanked by West Brom but am now 460K in the black, a nice position to be in. Just praying the board arent silly and try to expand the stadium. Injuries are starting to hit, m starting 2 strikers both got injuries that lasted 2-4 months that overlapped. Im in the playoff places but struggling.

Our Capital One Cup run has come to an end. We managed to beat Watford on penalties afrer a 0-0 draw to reach the 4th round where we got Liverpool at home. We were leading 2-1 before one of my strikers got sent off for elbowing an opponent. We went on to lose 4-3 after giving them a tough game despite having 10 men for over 40 minutes.

Wingate & Finchley - Blue Square Bet Premier - 2014/15

Last season we surprised everyone by winning promotion through the playoffs, but our poor finances and tiny budgets meant this could be a difficult season.

League Table

League Positions Graph

We really struggled. We were able to pick up the odd win every few games which kept us clear of relegation but we could never put a string of good results together to climb up the league table.

FA Trophy - I took it a bit more seriously this season but we still make a quick exit.

FA Cup - we were becoming the replay specialists, but Championship Bristol City was a step too far.

Transfers - I had to bring in new players as the squad from last season wasn't good enough.

Squad - with a number of players about to leave we might have a bit of trouble financing a decent sized squad next season.

Finances - the cup run saved us here, although the increased wages could cause problems nest season.

Key Player Profiles:

Aiden O'Brien - the new signing was our top scorer.

Kurtis March - another new signing who impressed.

Orlando Koster - still one of our best players.

Charlie Losasso - he's second choice now, but he's doing well.

Jack Dovey - the new goalie made a huge difference.
