Latimerinho Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 'Bring back the legends' is a unique on-going project that brings back club heroes, International stars and some of the World's best players to have ever graced our sport. However, this is not just a typical Legends database - YOU get to pick the players you want to bring back. How it works: Each legend has their own unique .xml file, containing only the changes relating to that specific player. For example, let’s say you're a big Maradona fan. You can download his individual file below, place this in the relevant folder (outlined in the Instructions below), and proceed with starting a new game with his .xml file selected. The result will be that Maradona has been transformed back to his youth days, as opposed to being a manager. The best part is that you can combine and use however many files (legends) you wish to have back in FM12 as a managable player. The choice is entirely yours! How are legends created? Firstly, I have removed ALL history, awards, relations etc associated with any legend that may already appear in-game as an ex-pro (where possible). This effectively creates a blank canvas, meaning the legend has been re-born and ready to re-write his chapter in the history books again. The twist of course, is that their ‘new’ career will be alongside all the current players in the game and potentially with a different team(s). Secondly, each legend has been created between the age of 16 and 25. The age is largely dependant on each player, as I have attempted to create the legend back to the age where their potential and/or ability was becoming known in their continent. I can understand this could be a rather debatable subject, but the varied age also helps to ensure your game isn't suddenly full of 16-17 year-old superstars! In relation to the above, I have also made sure that each player is at the correct club with accordance to who they played for at the chosen age. Any relations the player had at that age is also included (if known), but future transfers have been purposely ignored to potentially give you the chance to manage some of the greatest ex-players in football. PA is generally high in hope that they turn out to be the player we all know them to be. It does vary however based on the status they achieved in their actual playing career. I can provide a hidden list if required, for those who may be interested to see. The hope is that we can generate a bunch of much lower PA players, but still club legends in their own right, which would give anyone a chance playing in the lower leagues to sign a player from this project. To the left of the player name, if I have already created the player then there will be a [DOWNLOAD] link which you can click. Download and follow the instructions provided Alternatively, download the current datapacks to download ALL of the players created so far. When I have both Roy Keane and Socrates loaded it gives Keane the Socrates nickname, favourite club as Corinthians and has him speaking English and Brazilian Portuguese. As for the previous question, effectively they are all created using the same unique ID. However, depending on who you pick the game should be able to automatically assign a different unique ID to every player once the DB has been loaded, which it has done for 99% of the players I have created thus far. The remaining 1% seem to clash for some reason, so I'm looking for a solution to this. Not entirely sure why it's being picky with the few players who haven't loaded properly, they are no different to the others which are working with no problems?
