I think he'll get very, very close this season. Probably get to 200 but not quite the record this year, but he'll get it.

Don't see why we sent McEachran into the Championship. The playing time will obviously be good, but he's already shown himself far above that level. Treading water IMO, surely one of the newly promoted sides in the Prem would have taken him.

But would they have risked and played a 19 year old regularly when their first priority is to stay in the league?

Surely after the Swansea experience last season they wanted somewhere that he would be guaranteed games, which he didn't get at a newly promoted club last year. Think it's a good move for him, really looking forward to watching him getting some regular games.

He'll learn loads by just playing games. Which is the most important thing right now. The Championship is a decent league too.

Kakuta - Bolton

PVA - Wigan

We've not loaned out in the Prem well.

Delighted with that, any Away victory always valuable. Looking forward to Wednesday.

I suppose so, just don't see how much good it will really do him to be playing beneath his level. Surely being challenged and forced to learn from his mistakes is just as important as the playing experience? Not saying the Championship is terrible, but he's definitely got the talent to be playing at the top level.

Has anyone been on a Chelsea stadium tour/to the museum? Worth a go? Have never been on one or even really considered it but i've two weeks to kill before starting work and actually nothing to do. Trying to make the most of my student card before it runs out.

I went. Not great, but some interesting stuff in the musuem, worth a look if you've got some time on your hands imo.

Do people think that's his weakness? For me his weakness is he doesn't protect the back 4. Too many times you see midfielders run at the defence and in the space between the players without being picked up at all and Mikel is stood on his own 10 yards infront of Terry not really doing anything. I think it's the main reason we look so dodgy defensively.

My only concern about Mikel (ie. His weakness) is he has a tendency to hold onto possesion for too long and that's something that needs addressing. Imo, don't really think he was a culprit vs Wigan - if anythimg, I'd be worried about how many crosses we were allowing into the box

Ivanovic was often left 1v1 because hazard/mata (whoever is on that side) aren't exactly the best at getting back and helping him, definitely a concern when Ramires is out. Obviously the left side was better covered with Bertrand there.

It doesn't have to be next year though that he gets a look in, could have 2-3 seasons of loans or even longer and only then be ready/get a chance.

tbf to Mata, he does try to get back more often than not

Going to the game tomorrow. Hope to see Sturridge starting tomorrow and a Torres double. I will take 1 from Torres to get him underway for the PL campaign

Haven't had the internet for nearly and week, didn't realise how much I would miss it.

Good game on Sunday although I wasn't happy with how we let our performance drop after the goals. Saying that though Hazard looked great and it was good to see Oscar come on and he did well when he did. Looking forward to tomorrow as it will be my first PL game this season and then again on Saturday for Newcastle at home.

McEachran starts for 'Boro tonight, seems we've actually loaned him somewhere he'll play \o/

Thank god for that. I do think we should have done this last year. Loaned him out for a full season to a championship club. That way if he really is a lot better than that level then he could either have played a bigger part for us this season or another PL club would have been interested in taking him. Glad him and Lukaku have gone places where it looks like they will get games though.

Maybe not regularly but he did bring him on in his first game against Liverpool, I know they were down to 10 men but still. I think if he keeps playing well off the bench then Steve Clarke may start him. McEachran starts with a win at Boro as well

Played well by the sounds of it too.

Lukaku will play if he scores. If he can't force his way into the WBA team this season, then he'll probably need another out on loan. Only one game so far, let's see how it goes!

I think Lukaku will get his fair share of starts and sub appearances, and whatever he gets is probably more than he'd get with us this season, so it'll be a good experience for him. Also, I trust Steve Clarke

Should sign him just for his Wikipedia picture tbh:

Haven't seen a great deal of him individually but I like Metalist - could imagine him being pretty expensive though, and for a position where we're pretty stacked atm.

I've become properly old before my time, sitting in East Upper tonight. Out of choice.

Probably a different sort of ***** up there but at least they should be easier to ignore.

I can't even find my ticket, nor a confirmation email so i'm beginning to wonder if i've ordered one at all :D.

I long for a personal box.
