jim82
No they wouldn't. In the event that you qualified via the fair play league he would be eligible to PLAY in those as the ban is a 'domestic' ban only. See above post.Just found the story and it was in the Daily Mail, so ******** seems to be a good shout.

Emersonlfc
That's a fairly decent response from Luis there. He'll be here next season unless we receive a bid of 40+ million. A lot of talk that he will hand in a transfer request but I personally don't see it.

foofighter23
haha nice one What does it matter to you what I say? have an opinion by all means, sniping at the club and player like you have tells me alls i need to know. No ones condoned what he's done or even defended the PR (which they were damned if they did damned if they didnt) to any lengths but you've gone to another level turning on the club you apparently support. What happened to supporting your team through thick and thin eh? YNWA?! dont make me laugh... i'd be more gutted if you and slr actually thought you we're LFC fans tbh. Emersonlfc
We took into consideration of Mr Suarez’s apology, his personal statement, supporting letter from Mr Brendan Rodgers and the letter from Ms Zoe Ward. But when these were read in conjunction with Mr Suarez’s denial of the standard punishment that would otherwise apply for violent conduct is clearly insufficient, it seemed to us that Mr Suarez has not fully appreciated the gravity and seriousness of this truly exceptional incident Lesser ban if Luis didn't say he felt the 3 game ban was sufficient? CaptainPlanet
What happened to supporting your team through thick and thin eh? YNWA?! dont make me laugh... Everyone has a line. It's like saying you'll stick with your wife through sickness and in health, but when she goes off and bangs 20 guys then goes on a killing rampage in the local primary school, you decide you don't want to be with her any more. Doesn't make you less of a husband than someone who sticks with them through thick and thin.
martplfc1
So you don't want to support Liverpool anymore?
jim82
Must admit i feel a bit alienated by the way the club operates these days, on many levels, not just this latest incident. However you support your club through thick and thin, whether the bad parts be instigated by current members of staff at the club, players, or owners. My criticism comes because i do support the club and always will, and when they do things i don't like i feel fans should have a say. It's easier to toe the line than it is to suggest they might me doing stuff wrong - especially with the amount of grief you get if you publicise your negative thoughts on the club (see Didi Hamann yesterday)

stevie_G_32201
Who was that Argentinian fella we had who couldn't get a work permit? I'd say he'd probably have got a lesser ban if he had shown genuine remorse & had said he'd accept whatever verdict the disciplinary panel came to. Seems that they also felt that he wasn't really remorseful & was only apologising because he felt that was what they wanted.

I've skim read it once, and it seems that the ban MIGHT have been less if there wasn't so much crap which came out after it to diminish the reputation of the game in this country. The report actually mentions that it was trending worldwide on Twitter! From a Liverpool point of view we can see they still haven't sorted their PR, and from an FA point of view we can see they still haven't sorted anything in the way they deal with disciplinary issues. It's been a bad episode for all concerned, probably apart from Ivanovic who's handled himself well.

CaptainPlanet
The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Carragher, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Coutinho, Sturridge. Subs: Jones, Coates, Skrtel, Wisdom, Suso, Shelvey, Borini. That's a really weak bench.
