Liverpool Thread 2012/13

Recommended Posts

I can't believe we are only 4 points off 4th. That is crazy considering how much better off we could possibly be after some of our performances this year. Everton sticks out in my head.
Yeah and if refs gave us some penalties or at least allowed our legit goals to stand we would be in top 4.
6 points right there!

Easy there.

Thought Shelvey's little run at the end resulting in the foul by Reid in the area was top draw. Held off the defender outside the box when he could have gone down then some good footwork getting him into the area. He played very well after the third goal and held it up for us when we really needed him to. Wp jonjo.

We really need to complain to somebody about the refereeing against us, it really is horrible. Red card and a clear penalty not given, but we got the win in the end that nobody can take from us and rodgers is just a legend :D

Anyone see what he said to the official with the added on time board? "where the **** did you get 5 minutes from?"

Classic.

I think Sterling is beginning to buckle a bit with the ridiculous amount of pressure on him. Nice pass today though.

Second half he was quality. Got fouled consistently and held his own against a physical set of players. But yeah quite amazing that he is seen as one of the indispensable members of the team at 17/18 years of age

The ref was poor in that first half.

I don't think we played that well tbh.

Defiantly need another striker in January as Borini looks like a ******* and i no it is early in his career for us but meh.

SO lovely to win without playing well. Two wins in the next two games hopefully and we're right back into the mix.

Think he needs to bulking up.
I think he need players around him who can create chances for him and by doing so put his movement and finishing ability to better use (since Borini dont really have much else going for him)

i think borini can pick up all the scraps. i think that will be the only way for him to be successful here, but that means moving suarez out wide...

Some of you should have your rights to post taken away during a match. Some of the garbage posted in here in the first half and during half time is just embarrassing.

Glen Johnson is ****ing boss!

Had a brilliant game.

I liked whoever posted on the last page slagging Rodgers off saying he is just stood there doing bot all. 2 minutes later we scored, then went on to win :D.

Glen has probably been our second best player this season, so far.

He was over-rated, but only by the guy who said he's the best right-back in the world. :D He's not that, but he's certainly a good, good player who scores some great goals.

Didn't get to see yesterday's game as I was in the car, but I just about put us off the road jumping about like crazy when we scored the winner. Season's coming along nicely now, just need to keep it going until January and then strengthen in a couple of positions. And get wee Raheem a new contract.

Just looking at the table and seeing us 10th, but only 4pts off the Champions League places when yesterday you look and we're in the bottom half kind of takes you aback as to how close things are.

Out of 5 games at home in the League we have only won 3, if we can improve on this at this moment in time top 4 is realistic depending on good Jan Transfers..

Villa Home, Fulham Home, Stoke away, Q.P.R away and Sunderland home all by the 2nd Jan.. By 2nd Jan i see no reason why top 4 wont be in sight by a cat's whisker?

the next five games are winnable and to get 15 points would be great but knowing us we'll get 8 or something.

im not counting my chickens.

Although he'd limit Shelvey's first team appearances so we should probably steer clear anyway...

A can of coke and a flake might be enough to get him I reckon? Should maybe fax through the offer tomorrow.

No chance of Cavani simply because of the other clubs who'd in for him. Uruguay link or not, we're not getting picked over a Champions League club though I'd be delighted to be proved wrong...

I hope you're using e-Fax and not an actual fax machine, you luddite.

I'm not sure you can fax a Flake using either method, but it may just be I'm using it wrong :/

I'll fax the offer through then send it via carrier pigeon if its accepted?

I use a carrier pigeon so I think e-fax is too modern for me.

I have convinced myself that FSG have already negotiated the £50mill puchase of Falcao in January as the missing piece in Rodgers jigsaw.
