Emersonlfc
I actually think Suso should have gotten it. Changed the game for me
paperclips
Will take a point from that.
dking
I'll take that. Could even have won it at the end.
benjaminpeter
Good result really, would have taken that beforehand. Jones, Carra, Johnson and Gerrard good. Everyone else **** tbh. Gerrard motm for me, thought he was great in the 2nd half. Edit: Johnson a close 2nd for motm. He's one of the most accomplished players on the ball these days, and defends well too. foofighter23
yeah gerrard for me too. happy with a point and should have won it. changing to 4-4-2 changed the game for us.
Rhino
Much better second half. Happy with the point, really.
dudester
Thought it more of a 433/4231 really.
dking
If Pepe had put in the performance that Jones just did, I think he would have got a lot more credit than Jones is getting. I thought Jones was superb from start to finish and kept us in the game.
DeafParrot
Good performance, especially 2nd half. Thought Johnson and Enrique were both really good. Could have been so much better had Luis just prodded that ball round Cech in the final couple of mins
SRL88
Really delighted that we've came away with a point .
paperclips
Think we had better chances but Chelsea were the better(not much better) team for the majority of the game.
VamPook
Geez, Suarez and Enrique really should have punished them
Jongi
i'll take a point. first half we weren't great and improved after the changes in the 2nd. but a better touch from suarez there and we do a smash and grab. i'm guessing shain is still adapting to the pace but i would prefer to see suso/jonjo ahead of him.
bell
Suso did want Sahin should have been when he came on. He gave the ball away once or twice, but played well once he settled into the pace of the game.
CaptainPlanet
Carragher rolled back the years today, completely had Nando in his pocket.
Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted November 11, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 11, 2012 It's not hard tbf, Torres is an absolute joke. Jose Enrique was magnificent though.
SRL88
Enrique had a fantastic game. Solid both going forward & defensively .
CaptainPlanet
Both leftbacks were quite good. Might not be in trouble if they sell Cole to PSG.
paperclips
Looks like he will be a very good Lb. It is annoying that Enrique can not always play like that, unless he was helped by having 3 Cb's behind him. Carra, top professional.
Joshyboy1984
I thought Enrique had a bi-polar game. First half he was frustrating as ****. How many times can one player turn into trouble and then resort to the overhit chip to Suarez instead of laying off the simple pass inside? I thought he was a lot better when we moved Johnson to left back, let Glen do the thinking and pushed Enrique up and just told him to run at people. Which fair enough he is quite good at. Jongi
Got to laugh at the quotes from the Hodge in the Sun Times: "I had the idea two years ago that this might turn out to be a bit of a player." Gareth Roberts
Joshyboy1984
On Sterling? (Who I thought was very solid again today. Shame we couldn't get him in the game more.)
Jongi
Yep on Sterling
the_cote_kid
Really pleased for Carra today, i think there was a moment when he missed the ball but other than that he was pretty good defensively. He gets a lot of **** from his own fans but still manages to come in from the cold and put a shift in like that. I actually think he's largely cut out his hoofing too, obviously upon instruction from Rodgers. He's much maligned but he must be really helpful to the younger lads in passing on his experience. Rafalution
well often he comes in from the cold and looks a total mess, but yeah, really great performance today.
Emersonlfc
Sahin would need to get his act together.
CaptainPlanet
Guessing Assaidi isn't impressing too much based on the number of minutes he's getting.
benjaminpeter
Sterling impressed me with his defensive work today. Several times he chased back and because of his pace was able to nip in front of the attacker and pinch the ball. Really useful asset to have. Not sure I was watching the same Enrique as the rest of you. I thought he was gash tbh. Got better in the last 15 minutes or so but before that he couldn't pass, dribble, cross or make any kind of decision.
Falahk
Not sure I was watching the same Enrique as the rest of you. I thought he was gash tbh. Got better in the last 15 minutes or so but before that he couldn't pass, dribble, cross or make any kind of decision. its not really like he could do any of those things well in the first place anyway
VamPook
Anyone has Luis Suarez page on Facebook.... this is what his status read - "A shame we could't get the three points. Glad to to help the team with another goal... Hugs to Terry, I hope it's nothing serious. Una lástima que no pudimos sumar los tres puntos. Contento por haber podido ayudar al equipo con otro gol... Un abrazo a Terry, espero que no sea nada grave." Hugs to Terry just sounds so wrong
Cubiscus
Bit of a smash and grab, now I know how other teams have felt recently which is nice. There's something there with this team, put Lucas back in which allows Allen to move forward and 2-3 new players and we could have a go at 4th. Divinity
An away point against a top 4 contender? Take that in any season, performance not being bad was a bonus.
Rafalution
Just looking at upcoming fixtures, our 10 league games before man utd aint that bad, Spurs away aside, hardest fixtures are probably away at west ham and stoke, would be nice to put together a good run over these 17 Nov 2012 Wigan H 25 Nov 2012 Swansea A 28 Nov 2012 Tottenham A 1 Dec 2012 Southampton H 9 Dec 2012 West Ham A 15 Dec 2012 Aston Villa H 22 Dec 2012 Fulham H 26 Dec 2012 Stoke City A 30 Dec 2012 QPR A 2 Jan 2013 Sunderland H

SRL88
Yeah we have a nice run of fixtures. We should be looking at picking up points.
CaptainPlanet
Suarez bound to get injured just before that run of fixtures starts.
Kopite
Need to capitalise on that run. As long as we're not completely out of the running for a european spot before January I'll be happy. Then add some quality to the squad and have a strong run in has to be the aim.
Rafalution
next two weekends we have: Arsenal vs Spurs, West Ham vs Stoke West Brom vs Chelsea Then Spurs vs West Ham, Stoke vs Fulham then when we play spurs Chelsea vs Fulham Everton vs Arsenal Stoke vs Newcaastle Swansea vs West Brom Man utd vs West Ham So definitely some room to jump a couple of places and catch up with others, especially if we can pick up something vs Spurs
Gizzy
I would give you guys 11/13 points out of that run, which is a lot more than the 8 you picked up from the same set of games last season.
dking
BR would have done an amazing job if we were top six by January. Can't see it myself.
Rafalution
think we could be within a couple of points of it, then bring in some quality forwards.
martplfc1
The fixtures look easy on paper, but lets not forget we're around the same level of the likes of Swansea, Fulham, Stoke and West Ham (points-wise at least), so saying we should be picking up wins in these fixtures is slightly presumptuous. I'll be amazed if we pick up 18 points out of the 30 available tbh.
Rafalution
i am being very optimistic, but we have easier fixtures than those lot and i think BR is finally seeing that he needs to get more support up front. i think the next two games are massive for us. I'll be amazed if we pick up 18 points out of the 30 available tbh. Agree with this. I think some people are expecting rather a lot from what is an awful squad. Take Luis out of the equation and we're probably in a relegation battle.
DeafParrot
I doubt we'll be any higher than 8th or 9th by January. "Comfortably top 6" is laughable.
Select_screen_name:
Its hard to tell where we'll be since we've had a load of very hard fixtures. After those games, it will tell us more about who we are as a team. Apart from the Spurs game, we should have a massive chance to win them all. If we win at least half to 3/4, ill be happy.
Rafalution
happy at at least 3/4? i'd be ****ing delighted with that.
