dking
If we lose this I'll take heart from the fact Neville was booked for diving
Emersonlfc
I can see us losing this by a few goals tbh. 5-2 or something. We look horrible at the back and no one is able to hold the ball in the middle at all.
foofighter23
wisdom's inexperience has caught him out today. poor first half for him there. dont think suso will get the time he'd want and would rather asssaidi came on, against committed defenders he could skin them more than a few times.
dudester
Surely its a safer bet to take off Sterling so we can be sure not to get a red?
Emersonlfc
I would agree with that.
bell
Suso did alright for me. Kept possesion mostly and was able to create some chances. Better than Sterling anyway, who hasn't looked as dangerous. The problem is we can't take the sting out of teams yet by keeping the ball off them, coupled with the fact there appears to be no holding midfielder (Allen or Sahin... one is not doing their job today). It's leaving us open to getting attacked through the middle and being 2nd to all the loose balls in the centre. I'd be tempted to swap Assaidi and Shelvey for Sterling and Sahin at some point
bell
Shoring up the centre midfield it seems.

dking
Suarez gets kicked enough but he's clever enough to get out of the way. Payback?

dking
It's not even close to being offside. When is our ****ing luck going to ****ing change.
Liverpaul15
Same linesman who missed the early obvious offside for Everton early on too - when it bounced off Fellaini's head. Just saying.
morology
Worst refereeing I've seen in ages, Everton were just barging our players off the ball and getting free kicks in their favour for it. Comical. That perfectly good goal chalked off at the end was just the cherry on the crapcake.
Emersonlfc
Can't believe we let a 2 goal lead slip then get robbed at the end as well. Seething right now.
stevie_G_32201
Same linesman who missed the early obvious offside for Everton early on too - when it bounced off Fellaini's head.Just saying. he needs to be shot imo.

Emersonlfc
Linesman has totally bottled that. I could maybe understand if he put it up straight away but he thought about it for a good 4-5 seconds. Shocking.
Jongi
and he's flagged for offside as well. would be more understandable (though still shocking) if he had flagged for a coates foul

VamPook
Asked what he made of the Uruguayan's diving celebration following the opening goal of the game, Rodgers replied: "It was Scouse wit." Fowler couldn't have done it better
SCIAG
yep it's cumulative points It would be quite something to be down 24 points on last season.
SRL88
Yeah we should have had a third, but it was 2pts dropped considering we let two goal lead slip.
paperclips
Should not have let that 2 goal lead slip. Linesman, shocker. Nothing will be done about it Fellaini, the amount this guy got away with, disgusting.
Divinity
For me the worst one was his kick on Sterling with a few to go. Just launched straight through him.

Rafalution
Moyes reacted angrily to the celebration, approaching Suarez who was quickly surrounded by his team-mates. When asked for his reaction, the Scot said: "I thought it was great. I actually quite liked that and it's the sort of thing I'd have done if I'd have scored." Even Moyes couldn't stay angry. Razzler
Klinsmann did it and everyone loved him, I don't have a problem with it, it's not like he was winding up opposition fans with it, just a bit of humour. Shows he's aware of his reputation though ... how about, you know, stopping diving and that though as well
foofighter23
my overriding sense of the game yesterday was that it sorted out the men from the boys. ours kids were found out. but thats ok, they are boys and that experience will do wonders for them down the line. it just showed to me the lack of depth of quality compared to a few years ago and how good a job rodgers has done so far.
Rafalution
also need to remember this is the best Everton team since they finished 4th, and they were at home. was a winning performance against that even if we only ended up with 1 pt
DeafParrot
I wouldn't say the kids were found out, though its true none of them really performed. Sterling didn't have the best of games, practically every option he chose was the wrong one, but he didn't go into his shell and was the only player we had besides Suarez who looked likely to make something happen. Suso was ok, if a little quiet, but I like him. Think he's been unfortunate to be subbed as early has he has on 2 or 3 occasions now, but we needed to give Wisdom a little more help. He was left one on one with Mirallas for virtually the entire first half with little support. Was no real surprise that he fared badly. He was more solid once we changed things in the 2nd half, and its the first poor game he's had since stepping up to the first team.
Select_screen_name:
Suso was thrown on the left of the front three. He wont cause much damage from there.
PoolFan
Looking forward to the game against Swansea in midweek, i'll be curious to see who gets a game and wether Rodgers will rest anyone. I can't imagine Gerrard/Suarez playing, so there's two spots up for grabs. I'd also like to see more from Coates and maybe more Downing at leftback?
foofighter23
wouldnt surprise me if everyone was rested and a whole 2nd team was put out. maybe suso and assaidi as part of the front 3.
SRL88
Reina (just for fitness) Wisdon/Flano - Carra - Coates - Robinson Sahin Henderson - Shelvey Assaidi - Yesil - Downing Something like that maybe?
Rhino
Maybe Reina will get a game. Deserves one, as he's indisputable a World Class player and the best goalie who has ever lived.
