Yeah, that's a bit harsh. Is there any doubting his honesty? Surely there's no chance Chelsea fans think Hernandez could have known he was offside? Even if he was, would anybody actually expect him to tell the ref not to allow the goal?

Hopefully just tongue-in-cheek, which is fine by me.

How does Hernandez make that look so easy. He's got so much to do to, and he just bends it round Cech with ease.

I was trying to money on there being less than 4 goals in this match earlier, but the price was updating too frequently and I gave up after 3 times trying. Kinda glad now.

All about confidence with him, last season he could have made Heskey look like Thierry Henry but once he gets a couple of goals in him it's just a formality.

Really bright half that - quite liking this 4-1-4-1 formation we've been playing lately with the central two of the second bank of four dovetailing so there's no obvious '#10' to pick up; means you can flood the midfield but still get men forward in support of the lone striker. Remember us playing something similar against Arsenal in the cup a few years back and we were terrific (the game Gallas booted Nani for showboating) but we've not tried it often enough.

Fletcher, Nani and Giggs (good again?) quietly going about their business; Hernandez not involved much but a lovely goal, and that is his game after all; and Anderson has had some excellent moments, culminating in the second assist. Welbeck having another of those days where for all his hard work and intelligence off the ball it's not coming off for him in the final third.

Been impressed with Wootton and particularly Keane tonight. Buttner again looking threatening going forward but it's hard to tell which he dislikes the most - defending or using his right foot for anything but standing.

Couple more goals early doors and then get the kids on pls.
