So many countries playing on neutral grounds as well. Never understood that.

I mean, Brazil and Argentina playing games in Europe is one thing, but why do the likes of Spain/Italy play games in Austria and Switzerland

bet365 are streaming Armenia v Greece tonight. From which I assume that proper channels have picked up the France and Germany games.

Brazil and Argentina shouldn't play games in Europe either, but everyone does for the same reason: $$$$

Last night's results:

Armenia 0-1 Greece

Germany 2-0 Israel

France 2-0 Serbia

Apparently M'Vila is likely to be OK after all.

Hungary takes an early lead over Czech Republic. Dzsudzsak with a cheeky FK.

It seems besides that scandal at club level, they are getting embarrassed at national team level as well...better not to go to the Euros indeed...

I do think that for some, their thoughts were somewhere else. :D

The defense had little confidence tonight, which is confusing. The midfield was a mess, which didn't help either: not knowing how to attack, not knowing how to defend.

Balotelli, though, had a good game.

The attack was, mostly, fine. We created chances, but didn't take them. Balotelli had one in the first half, Marchisio too - both of those should have gone in.

The defence wasn't great, but two of the goals were really bad individual errors from Maggio. Nothing you can do about that.

How good were the Russians?

Looked good going forward. They created a lot of chances - I know two of the goals were from our errors, but they should have scored a couple before that anyway, their finishing was just horrific.

Some of the Italy defending wasn't very good though, so I think it was a bit of a mix between Russia being really slick, and Italy looking a bit of a mess.

Russian created chances and both teams looked medicore at the back. Could've ended 3-3. Russian finished better from the two teams. Was a very open game. Wouldn't read too much into the score but they look like the team to beat in the group.

Denmark gets a penalty against Australia after a nice attack by Bendtner, Agger and Eriksen

Rather soft penalty,Agger created the "turn" of his body, nicely executed.

FT: Denmark-Australia 2-0

A easy win for the Danes. But besides the small confidence boost, this game wasn't very ueful. Australia was really poor (they were fairly decent at the two last WC's, what happened?) and didn't remind at all about the opposition at the EURO. And despite a rather easy opponent, the Danish defence managed to look really unsecure in many situations :thdn:

One of the better websites for seeing which game is on which (legal) channel, in the UK at least - http://www.live-footballontv.com/

Think I'll renew my Eurosport account for the U19 championship, so thanks for that wouldnt have known otherwise

Is Agger on penalty duty for Denmark, seriously??

I think so. Krohn-Dehli missed a penalty last time, so guess it's Agger now

Just one game tonight, finished Spain 1-0 China. Took them until 84th minute to score, despite the usual possession stats.

Tbf to them, they could've had 7. Iniesta and Torres both hit the bar in the 2nd half, had a Mata goal disallowed for offside (or a foul) and they created plenty in the 2nd half (didn't watch the opening half)

China missed 3 one-on-ones in the first half though.

but Spain had 94% possession or something so it's China's fault for defending, no doubt ;)

Nope. Sounds like Hungary had a fair few chances though, Hungary beat the Czechs recently too so not a bad game to have for Ireland imo

France easily beating Estonia 2-0 so far with two beautiful goals.

When Brazil played against them in 2009, Brazil won only 1-0.

Sweden - Serbia recently finished, with Sweden winning 2-1.

Toivonen (23), Ibrahimovic (52, pen)

Subotic (27)

Sweden weren't overly impressive, they scored through a GK blunder of ours and we bossed the 1st half. The pen was unneccesary too, imo, but as the game slowed down in tempo (from 70 ish minutes onwards), the Swedes looked much more comfortable and created a few chances - I think it was the high pressing game we set up at the start that was what Sweden didn't react too and both Lustig and Olsson kept bombing forward which created gaps at the back, which we exploited.

They'd probably do well against sides in their group who won't set out at a high tempo and are reliant on a counter attacking game.

Estonia's match with France means their the first team to play all 52 other UEFA members, nice little record for them :D

Yes, remember hearing something about that recently. Quite impressive and also a little odd but I guess some of the more traditional nations may not have played all of the newer nations whereas they obviously have.

I wonder who's next in line and how many England have played and who we haven't, etc?
