Setting up in a 4-4-2 formation the team really didn't play well, and there was nothing really to mention about the boys who were still behind overcoming injuries. A 2-0 away win in Sweden with 555 fans turning out for what might be a sign of things to come, playing a final warm up International before a Euro U19 qualifying group which contains Lithuania, Sweden and N.Ireland the young 'Vauxhall' team turned out a great performance for their U19 National side. Goals were scored by D.Akinfenwa (1) and D.Ginsberg (16), both great individual efforts whilst a yellow card was given to man of the match A.Moridin. D.Jones also turned down the offer of a contract, whilst S.Zangari put pen to paper on a pre-contract signing him to the club for the next 3 years. Another injury, this time to J.Bowmanesi who like W.Wonka will be out for 6 weeks with a hernia 08.09.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game: Accrington Stanley v Vauxhall Motors A 3-2 victory in front of just 16 fans saw the second team keep up their unbeaten 100% run to the season. Playing a 3-3-2-2 formation the goals were scored by D.Ginsberg (1), and S.Duffy (87) another player scored but he's not one of us so pffft. Assists by Tim, S.Zangari and J.Stothard whilst O.Brown got booked. Kicking off with a 4-4-2 formation man of the match D.Akinfenwa hit a hat-trick (12, 24, 44) whilst also missing a penalty, A.Moridin, E.Wilkinsono and D.Blum set the goals up. Y.Dolle, G.Alacarde, I.Rionocogo and A.Moridin picked up yellow cards in this hard fought match. I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero Y.Dolle - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - G.Alacarde F.Mahn V.Meloni, R.Ramirez and D.Jones all unused subs. ----- 11.09.2010 - Group 9 Youth Game: Vauxhall Motors v Solihull Moors 17 fans turned out to see the Vauxhall youth team batter Solihull 4-0. Like the first team, they set up in a 4-4-2 formation, D.Ginsberg (6), S.Duffy (11, 40) and S.Zangari the goalscorers with B.Stevens, J.Stothard and D.Ginsberg setting the goals up. Tim picked up an injury! A broken jaw meaning 5 weeks on the side-lines whilst J.Stothard twisted an ankle, 7 weeks before he will be back in training. A yellow card for O.Brown, whilst G.Alacarde set a goal up (and man of the match), other players with assists were E.Wilkinsono and 2 by D.Solo. I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero G.Alacarde - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - O.Brown F.Mahn V.Meloni came on as sub, whilst Y.Dolle, R.Ramirez and B.Stevens were unused. The F.A.Cup Second Qualifying Round was drawn with the Motormen being drawn away from home against Droylsden who play in the same league and currently sit in 19th postiosn. I have been here 2 years and I have 3 weeks left to do before I am home and spend much needed time with the family before deciding what to do next. I have a few quid saved and have an idea for a website that will in turn become a full time business but have no idea when it comes to coding and building the bloody thing (if anyone is good at building websites and creating software then send me a PM, I will give you a bit of an idea of what it is - you never know, you might be able to do it easily). 22.09.2010 - Under 18s Cup 2nd Round: Vauxhall Motors v Notts County 26 people turned out to see the youth team hammer Notts County and set up a 3rd round tie against Morecambe at home. The young side not only destroyed the Nottingham club at football, they also kicked them off the park, picking up 4 yellow cards. Hard team, good team, can the young Vauxhall team go all the way? Once again 4-4-2 formation saw goals from S.Zangari (1), D.Ginsberg (25), and a couple from Vauxhall home grown youths. M.Nevo set one up, B.Stevens 1 and a couple from another Vauxhall player. S.Duffy picked up a dislocated shoulder and will be out for around 3 months! Yellow cards for B.Stevens, O.Brown, M.Nevo and S.Zangari S.Duffy - D.Ginsberg G.Zantk - G.Mboa - S.Zangari - B.Stevens O.Brown - M.Nevo - B.Simpson - L.Gonzalez S.Graham Can the first team win their cup match? O.Brown picked up the man of the match award, whilst D.Solo and I.Rionocogo picked up yellow cards. nastymiller Posted May 20, 2012 Author Share Posted May 20, 2012 Great news before the start of the next game - G.Alacrade was named Blue Square North player of the Month (September) The 16 year old left-back has been in outstanding form, making 3 dazzling apperances for his club over the past 4 weeks. 02.10.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Vauxhall Motors v Boston United Either the young lads are getting tired or teams are starting to suss the young guns out, as a sneaky 2-1 win was the result in the latest home game. 4-4-2 formation, A.del Piero (pen 9) opened the scoring and sub D.Jones (79) hit the winner, E.Talbott set a goal up and got booked, whilst A.del Piero also set a goal up - man of the match was O.Brown. R.Ramirez- D.Akinfenwa E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero G.Alacarde - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - O.Brown F.Mahn V.Meloni and D.Jones came on as subs, whilst Y.Dolle, and B.Stevens were unused. The coming month is going to be a busy one, and also one that could see Vauxhall slip up a little. Domestic and International games clash, what will the club and country agree upon? Set up by B.Stevens, this is a game that most players will want to wipe from the memory bank.
