I'm so excited for the future of this squad, I really am.

Just two players over 30, both of which may be redundant by the end of the season, some great prospects too.

Example. My DM's are Dejan Pavlicic in the DLP position and Hervé Raymond in the Anchor Man role. Now, Pavlicic missed a game or two with injury earlier in the season and 16 year old Nguyen Thanh Tang stepped into his role as the more-talented Yoann Robert was not retrained to a DM yet. He came in and did well in that position. Recently, Raymond has been injured for a month or two and for the last two games, Alix Lecomte has come in and played a blinder.

These players will only get better and I'm really looking forward to these players developing and also having Robert become proficient in the DM position.

100px-As_monaco.pngAS Monaco FC, October 2028 Review

------------------------------------------------------

07.10.28

AS Monaco FC 0 - 1 ES Wasquehal (Championnat National)

Another game where we were installed as the favourites. And another game in which we failed to perform. Annoying.

10.10.28

AS Monaco FC 2 - 1 AS Beauvais Oise (Championnat National)

When we went 0-1 down in the first half, I thought it was happening again. However, Ryan Mouchel and Aymar Roponat equalised and put us into the lead for good.

14.10.28

AS Monaco FC 3 - 0 Paris FC 2000 (Championnat National)

Aymar Roponat was moved into the striking role this time, with Mouchel moving to the left wing. And he repaid us with a hat-trick.

20.10.28

AS Monaco FC 3 - 0 FC Mulhouse (Championnat National)

Jéan-Christophe Ruiz scored twice and Robin Lebourg headed home to give us our second 3-0 win on the trot.

25.10.28

AS Monaco FC 3 - 0 Grenoble Foot 38 (Coupe de la Ligue, Fourth Round)

.

29.10.28

AS Monaco FC 9 - 1 FC Luy-de-Béarn (Coupe de France, Sixth Round)

I wanted to play the kids in this match, however they played that day too, so a lot of them were unavailable. However, I played a lot of the backups and we ran riot. Samir Medjahed scored a hat-trick, Cedric Lesage scored twice and first senior goals for Bilal Yilmaz and Ngyuen Thanh Tang, coupled with goals from sub Ryan Mouchel and Jéan-Christophe Ruiz, combined to run up our best ever score.

-------------------------------------------------

We finished October, top of the pile still! 11 points clear.

100px-As_monaco.pngAS Monaco FC, November/December 2028 Review

------------------------------------------------------

03.11.28

AS Monaco FC 0 - 2 Angers SCO (Championnat National)

Goddamn. Same as usual.

18.11.28

AS Monaco FC 4 - 2 FC Metz (Coupe de France, Seventh Round)

Four different players powered us through this match. Esteban Lecomte headed home for the opener, wingers Cedric Lesage and Aymar Roponat got the second and third and Jimmy Da Costa wrapped it all up.

25.11.28

AS Monaco FC 3 - 1 Stade Lavallois (Championnat National)

Jimmy Da Costa popped up again to open the scoring, Jéan-Christophe Ruiz made it two and Ryan Mouchel finished it all off with a solo run and finish.

02.12.28

AS Monaco FC 2 - 0 US Dunkerque (Championnat National)

An own goal and Bilal Yilmaz's header gave us our win to ensure we finished 2028, top of the league..

09.12.28

AS Monaco FC 3 - 1 Jura-Sud Football (Coupe de France, Eighth Round)

Alix Lecomte scored his first senior goal and goals from Vladen Arsenijevic and a late finish from Gil on 90mins saw us comfortably into the Ninth Round.

-------------------------------------------------

We finished 2028, top of the pile still! Only 8 points clear now though.

100px-As_monaco.pngAS Monaco FC, January 2029 Review

------------------------------------------------------

07.01.29

AS Monaco FC 2 - 1 ESTAC Troyes (Coupe de France, Ninth Round)

For the second time this season, we dump Ligue 2 Troyes out of a cup competition! Two headers from Jéan-Christophe Ruiz and Matheiu Maignan settled this one.

10.01.29

AS Monaco FC p4 - 4 LEMANS FC (5-4 on pens) (Coupe de la Ligue, Quarter Final)

What a game this was, although it was terrible on the nerves against 3rd place in Ligue 1! Jimmy Da Costa scored a hat-trick as we went 3-1 up, then were hauled back to 3-3 by 79 mins, including a missed pen for them! We then went 4-3 up, a minute into ET, courtesy of Ryan Mouchel. However, a wild clearance cannoned off the LEMANS striker and into the net to make it 4-4 in ET of first half ET!! It then came down to pens and it all came down to a LEMANS player's pen thundering down off the crossbar and out to seperate us and put us in the semis!

13.01.29

AS Monaco FC 0 - 0 Tours FC (Championnat National)

Case of 'After The Lord Mayor's Show' for us.

18.01.29

AS Monaco FC 4 - 0 Racing CF Lavallois 92 (Championnat National)

A nice demolition. Samir Medjahed, Gil, Jéan-Christophe Ruiz and Dejan Pavlicic all combined to give us the three points.

21.01.29

AS Monaco FC 5 - 0 Montepellier Hérault SC (Coupe de France, Tenth Round)

Boom. This was a slaughter of the bottom-dwelling, sick and ailing Ligue 1 side. Samir Medjahed led the way with a hat-trick,

. Two headers from Mathieu Maignan and Jéan-Christophe Ruiz completed the massace.

27.01.29

AS Monaco FC 4 - 3 Calais RUFC (Championnat National)

A nail-biter all the way!. Samir Medjahed hit two, Jéan-Christophe Ruiz popped up with a goal and Cedric Lesage scored in the 91st minute to give us the win.

31.01.29

AS Monaco FC 2 - 2p Paris Saint Germain (4-2 on pens) (Coupe de la Ligue, Semi Final)

All good things must end, sadly. Playing the moneybags club at the Parc des Princes was always a big ask and it proved so, being 0-2 down by HT. But I gave them some encouragement and Aymar Roponat slid home to give us a glimmer on 78 mins, before Gil looped a header over the keeper on 87 mins to give us an unlikely equaliser and send the game into ET. Both sides were reduced to 10 in ET, both red-carded for second yellow offences. Roponat was sent off for us on 120 mins. We also lost Hervé Raymond for 5 months with a torn hamstring and Ryan Mouchel for 5-6 weeks with a pulled hamstring. They couldn't seperate us, so it went to penalites. However, two misses in a row for us meant our Cup fairytale was over, sadly

For those watching in black and white.

-------------------------------------------------

We sold one player, MC Daodema Nikiema, who'd bitched about being not played for two years and tried numerous times to terminate his contract, was thankfully got rid of to Hyéres FC for £110k. We also only made one signing, a free agent DM, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/delenfent/Monaco/GokayOzden.jpg[/img]"]Gökay Özden as I was worried about burn-out for Alix Lecomte.

Done amazingly well to get to the semi finals. THe leagues going great now too, making progress very fast, should be in Ligue 1 in no time.

Well, I'm not sure on that one, but I'm already planning for Ligue 2

100px-As_monaco.pngAS Monaco FC, February 2029 Review

------------------------------------------------------

03.02.29

AS Monaco FC 5 - 2 Rodez Averyon Football (Championnat National)

Another rout. Jimmy Da Costa and Jéan-Christophe Ruiz both netted doubles and Samir Medjahed finished it all off.

10.02.29

AS Monaco FC e3 - 1 Stade Brestois 29 (Coupe de France, Eleventh Round)

Another great win over relegation-threatened Ligue 1 opposition! Gil tapped home at the far post to give us the lead, but we conceded a 30 yard wonder strike late on to send yet another cup game into ET. However, Jimmy Da Costa rolled the ball home into an empty net on 107 mins after the keeper spilled Lesage's shot. Mehdi Saidi again saw red for a second yellow card on 116 mins, but in the dying seconds, we broke forward and Cedric Lesage stroked the ball home to make it 3-1 and see us again.

17.02.29

AS Monaco FC 4 - 1 Balma SC (Championnat National)

Easy. Doubles from Samir Medjahed and Gil saw off the rock-bottom club.

24.02.29

AS Monaco FC 1 - 0 Le Poiré-sur-Vie VF (Championnat National)

We struggled to get anything in this game, but Jimmy Da Costa popped up to dispossess a defender and stroke home on 73 mins..

27.01.29

AS Monaco FC 0 - 5 Olympique de Marseille (Coupe de France, Quarter Final)

Wow. We got taken to school in this one.. However, three of the five goals were all mistakes.

A great double-hattrick game as both Samir Medjahed and Jéan-Christophe Ruiz both hit trebles to destroy Cherbourg.

17.03.29

AS Monaco FC 2 - 2 US Créteil-Luistanons (Championnat National)

A Jimmy Da Costa brace gave us the draw that saw us move inexorably .

24.03.29

Another thumping win in a season of thumping wins. Only this one secured promotion for us! Yes, we were back in Ligue 2 next season! A hat-trick from Jéan-Christophe Ruiz and goals from Samir Medjahed & Aymar Roponat. Boom.

100px-As_monaco.pngAS Monaco FC, May 2029 Review

------------------------------------------------------

05.05.29

AS Monaco FC 3 -1 US Dunkerque (Championnat National)

The yoof came in and star prospect Yoann Robert netted his first ever goal for the club in an easy 3-1 win. Jimmy Da Costa and Cedric Lesage scored the others.

12.05.29

AS Monaco FC 0 - 1 Tours FC (Championnat National)

Didn't care.

19.05.29

AS Monaco FC 1 - 2 FC Metz (Championnat National)

A Ryan Mouchel was our only consolation as I let my Ass Man do the job for this one as I was on holiday

----------------------------------

What a season! Winners of the Championnat National; 102 goals scored in the league; 95 points, nearly 30 more than second place; 8 players in the National Team Of The Year... Let's hope we can stay up for next season!
