I will report on every qualification game as I do on most of my stories in the build up to the World Cup 2014, however some of the games will not be reported on due to no details being available on FM12. Once I hit the World Cup 2014 actual tournament I will be doing full match reports with team details like in the previously mentioned stories. This will be one of the biggest stories I have tried and we’ll see how it goes. Anguilla carried on the forward pressure and on the 43rd minute they doubled the lead with a fantastic effort by J.Vickers. However the second half belonged to the Dominican Republic as they piled forward and on the 66th minute A.Guillen headed in past the keeper Five minutes later the away side grabbed the equaliser with D.Tejada firing in from close range to set the second leg up beautifully Anguilla 2 S.Vaughan 12, J.Vickers 43 Dominican Republic 2 A.Guillen 66, D.Tejada 71 British Virgin Islands 0-0 US Virgin Islands No match details available Montserrat v Belize Montserrat dominated the Belize team with ease and on the 27th minute they grabbed the lead as T.Williams barged through the defence and fired under the Belize keeper. Twelve minutes later they grabbed another goal as D.Campbell rounded the Belize keeper and slotted home into the empty net. Montserrat carried on the domination and really should have grabbed a lot more goals to put the tie out of reach Montserrat 2 T.Williams 27, D.Campbell 39 Belize 0 St.Lucia v Aruba A pretty tight game and on the 20th minute St.Lucia grabbed the lead as D.Turner curled one in from the edge of the area. Three minutes later Aruba grabbed the equaliser as E.Bosnie jinked through the defence and slotted home from close range. The game toed and froed and on the 36th minute St.Lucia took the lead as C.Stop headed in from under the crossbar after the Aruba keeper flapped at a simple cross. I think its a bug or something in the game July 12th 2011: North America First Phase 2nd Leg Aruba v St.Lucia (agg 1-2) Another tight game with a very slow start. It took till the 34th minute for the first real effort of the game which resulted in the first goal as R.Escalona curled one in from the corner of the area. However four minutes later St.Lucia grabbed the equaliser as D.Turner headed in over the keeper from the edge of the area. The second half was twelve minutes old when Aruba took the lead and levelled the aggregate score as R.Escalona fired in a penalty after a handball. The game didn’t produce another goal and the tie went to penalties. St.Lucia’s C.Stop took the first penalty but fired it over. R.Escalona took the next penalty and scored with ease, St.Lucia’s L.Hill fired in from the spot to level the tie. G.Tromp was up next and hit under the keeper. D.Turner fired his penalty over the crossbar. Aruba’s R.Brienburg fluffed his penalty and it went wide of the post. J.Almond was next for St.Lucia but wasted his chance and it went wide of the post. U.Werleman tried a cheeky penalty but the keeper saved it with ease. P.Semmen was up next for St.Lucia knowing he needed to score and he did that with a powerful effort. Montserrat never really got going and didn’t really threaten the Belize defence. The second half eight minutes old when Belize grabbed the aggregate equaliser as L.Serrano headed in from close range. Belize couldn’t grab that all important third goal they deserved and the game went to penalties. Belize started the shootout with R.Tun fired in from the spot, S.Hype stepped up next and hit the target. G.Nolberto was next for Belize but he hit the penalty straight at the keeper. D.Campbell was next and gave the advantage to Montserrat. L.Serrano was up next for Belize and fired into the bottom corner. T.Williams was next and beat the outstretched arms of the keeper. R.Tun was up next for Belize and blazed the penalty over the crossbar. K.Davies stepped up for Montserrat and hit home from the spot to send Montserrat undeservedly into the next round Belize 2 R.Tun 9, L.Serrano 53 Montserrat 0 Dominican Republic v Anguilla (agg 2-2) Twelve minutes into the game the Dominican Republic grabbed the lead with A.Reynosa hitting home from outside the area. Qatar continued to dominate but failed to score anymore in the first half. The second half was three minutes old when Qatar added goal number two with T.Salman firing in from just inside the area. On the 50th minute T.Salman grabbed another goal with a jinking run and shot in the area. The final goal of the game came on the 68th minute as T.Salman fired in his third goal with a thunderous effort which gave the Taipei keeper no chance of saving Chinese Taipei (China PR) 0 Qatar 4 K.Ibrahim 18, T.Salman 48, 50, 68 East Timor v Turkmenistan A frantic start saw East Timor grabbing the lead on the 13th minute as J.Gusmao de Rego headed in from a corner. Five minutes later Turkmenistan grabbed the equaliser as W.Bayramow firing in with ease. However after the frantic start the players backed off each other and the game never really got going. The second half was alittle better as Hong Kong piled forward and on the 69th minute they grabbed the second goal as C.Tsz Ho fired in a great penalty to beat the Syria keeper. With ten minutes remaining in the half Y.Ka Wai killed the tie off with a rasping effort which gave the Syria keeper no chance of saving. Hong Kong (China PR) 3 S.Ka Shing 23, C.Tsz Ho 69 pen, Y.Ka Wai 80 Syria 0 Iraq v China A brilliant first half saw Iraq take the lead over China with Y.Mahmoud hitting the target from 10 yards after making room for himself in the area. On the 14th minute though Iraq retook the lead as A.Ali Abdul-Nabi slotted home from close range after running onto a great cross. On the 26th minute another goal was scored as B.Tahir curled the ball past the Chinese keeper after running in from the wing. On the 26th minute the first goal was scored as M.Shameem beat the Uzbekistan defence to slot home past the keeper. However with eleven minutes remaining in the half Uzbekistan grabbed the equaliser as S.Jeparov hit an unstoppable effort past the Maldives keeper. The second half was two minutes old when Uzbekistan fired in what turned out to be the winner with U.Baqoev doing the honours from the edge of the area Maldives 1 M.Shameem 26 Uzbekistan 2 S.Jeparov 34, U.Baqoev 47 Tajikistan v Palestine No match details available Tajikistan 2-0 Palestine UAE v Singapore UAE grabbed the lead on the 12th minute as Y.Mubarak headed in from under the crossbar after some very poor defending. The second half was much the same with end to end football and on the 64th minute UAE killed the game off as S.Abdulla headed in from the edge of the area. The second half continued in the same vein and on the 66th minute H.Obeidat grabbed the match ball with a rasping long range effort. The second half was much the same however on the 67th minute Iraq grabbed the lead as A.Tahir showed some skill to beat his marker and fire past the keeper. Straight from the kick off China broke down the wings and crossed in for D.Lin to head a powerful header past the Iraqi keeper. After the two minute madness the game went back to defensive play and nothing really happened China 1 D.Lin 68 Iraq 1 A.Tahir 67 India v Kyrgyzstan (agg 0-1) No match details available India 2 – 0 Kyrgyzstan Indonesia v Yemen (agg 2-2) As with the first game both teams went for it. On the 10th minute Indonesia were reduced to ten men after A.Susila was sent off for a rash challenge. Thirteen minutes later Yemen grabbed the lead as A.Ali-Ammari showed some skill to beat his marker and fire under the keeper. On the 33rd minute A.M.Al-Jabali headed in past the Indonesian keeper. The second half was quiet open with Indonesia piling forward but it took them till the 82nd minute for them to pull a goal back as R.Lubis fired under the Yemen keeper. A minute later they equalised the tie as J.van Beukering fired in to send the tie into extra time. On the 59th minute Oman pulled a goal back as M.Al-Whaibi barged through the defence and slotted home. On the 5th minute Jordan pulled a goal back as K.Yousef fired in from the penalty spot after a poor challenge by the Vietnamese defence. With four minutes remaining in the half Jordan grabbed the lead as A.Obeidat curled the ball in off the upright after he ran in off the wing. On the 68th minute Vietnam equalised as L.Hongtien rose highest to nod home from just under the crossbar. Chinese Taipei just didn’t offer and sort of resistance and on the 42nd minute Qatar added another goal as M.Mahmoud curled the ball past the keeper with ease. The second half was much the same as Qatar controlled the play and just after the hour M.Al Nasser fired in to give them a 3-0 lead. On the 73rd minute Taipei grabbed a goal back as H.Chun-Chieh fired in but it was too little too late Qatar 3 K.Ibrahim 11, M.Mahmoud 42, M.Al Nasser 62 Chinese Taipei (China PR) 1 H.Chun-Chieh 73 Saudi Arabia v Laos (agg 3-0) Saudi Arabia were by far the better team and on the 21st minute S.Bashir curled the ball in from close range after breaking through the defence. S.Arabia continued to pile forward but it took till the second half for the next goal as T.Al-Jasim headed in from close range. With eleven minutes remaining in the game Laos conceded the final goal as S.Al-Harthi fired in from just inside the area Saudi Arabia 3 S.Bashir 21, T.Al-Jasim 55, S.Al-Harthi 79 Laos 0 Singapore v UAE (agg 1-3) Another very one sided game but it took till the 38th minute for UAE’s to grab the lead as A.Khalil fired in a penalty after a handball. With four minutes remaining in the half UAE’s added another goal as A.Khalil fired in again from six yards. The second half was a minutes old when they grabbed another goal as K.Mubarak headed in from under the crossbar after the Singapore keeper flapped at a simple cross Singapore 0 UAE 3 A.Khalil 38 pen, 41, K.Mubarak 46 Syria v Hong Kong (China PR) (agg 0-3) Hong Kong continued there domination from the previous match and on the 31st minute they went into the lead as Y.Ka Wai fired in from the edge of the area after some poor Syrian defending. The second half was four minutes old when they went two nil up and five nil up on aggregate. However after the goal they relaxed far too much and on the 62nd minute A.Kadour fired in for the home side. On the 79th minute Syria pulled another goal back as F.Al-Beshlani headed in from close range. A minute later they grabbed the lead for the day with F.Al-Beshlani firing in from outside the area. Thailand piled forwards and on the 64th minute Thailand took the lead as P.Phanrit headed in from a corner after some poor defending. A minute later they levelled the aggregate score with a rasping effort from Y.Yotkrai. Thailand 3 P.Phanrit 26, 64, Y.Yotkrai 65 Lebanon 1 M.Ayyad 47 Turkmenistan v East Timor (agg 1-1) The tie was evenly set and this match was no different as on the 38th minute Turkmenistan grabbed the lead as W.Bayramow slotted home from just inside the area after some poor defending. With two minutes remaining in the half East Timor grabbed the equaliser as N.Valadares curled the ball in from the edge of the area. The second half was much the same with some great attacking play and on the 62nd minute Turkmenistan grabbed the lead as M.Gurbani fired in a penalty after a blatant handball. Two minutes later A.Karimi doubled the lead as he again broke through the defence and fired past the keeper. The second half was much the same and on the 61st minute Iran were awarded a penalty after a handball in the area, M.Barzeger stepped up and fired past the keeper. On the 26th minute Antigua grabbed another goal as K.James curled one in from the edge of the area after the defence failed to deal with his run. Antigua carried on the pressure and just before the break they had another chance but the Montserrat keeper saved well. Six minutes into the half Antigua grabbed another goal as K.Farrell fired in his second of the game with a thunderous long range effort which gave the Montserrat keeper no chance of saving. It took till a minute before half time for the first real effort as B.Jerome fired in past the Puerto Rican keeper. The second half wasn’t much better but on the 64th minute Guyana grabbed all three points as N.Pollard jinked past the keeper to fire into the empty net. To be truthful neither team deserved anything from the game Guyana 2 B.Jerome 44, N.Pollard 64 Puerto Rico 0 Dominican Republic v Cayman Islands: Group 3 A poor first half as neither team went for it. However the second half was a lot different and on the 49th minute Dominican Republic went into the lead as A.Campechano headed in from close range. Soon after the Cayman Islands had another chance with a thunderous effort which the Republic keeper saved. On the 74th minute Cayman fired in the equaliser as N.Hilton ran through the defence with ease and fired under the keeper. However after the goal they seemed to collapse as the US Virgin Islands upped there game and on the 23rd minute they grabbed the equaliser as A.Balanque headed in from close range. With two minutes remaining in the second half the US Virgin Islands grabbed the lead with R.Guillen jinked into the area and slotted in past the Nicaragua keeper. The second half was dominated by the Virgin Islands team but for all there pressure they couldn’t add to the tally Nicaragua 1 O.Garcia 4 US Virgin Islands 2 A.Balanque 23, R.Guillen 43 Panama v St Kitts & Nevis: Group 4 Panama were the better team throughout but on the 29th minute they were reduced to ten men after F.Baloy was sent off for a rash challenge. On the 39th minute A.Gonzalez grabbed another goal with a rasping effort which went in off the upright. The second half was much the same with Panama controlling all the play but again they failed to add to there tally. Canada continued to control the game and with five minutes remaining in the half P.Stalteri grabbed Canada’s third goal. The second half was much the same and twelve minutes into the half M. de Jong made it 4-0 with a brave header which gave the Guatemala keeper no chance of saving. However after the goal the game seemed to die a death. There was only one real chance in the remainder of the game as St Vincent piled forward on the 84th minute but the move was ended by a great last ditch challenge by the Antiguan defence Antigua & Barbuda 1 K.James 1 St Vincent 0 El Salvador v Montserrat: Group 1 El Salvador started the game the better and on the 18th minute they went into the lead as R.Zelaya headed in a corner after his initial effort was brilliantly saved. Three minutes later they were two goals up with a great team move which saw A.Campos curling the ball brilliantly past the Montserrat keeper. The second half saw El Salvador continuing to pile forward but for all the pressure they couldn’t add to there tally. El Salvador 2 R.Zelaya 18, A.Campos 21 Montserrat 0 Puerto Rico v Aruba: Group 2 Aruba controlled the majority of the first half with a lot of attacking football however they just couldn’t get past the excellent Puerto Rican keeper. The second half was much the same but this time it was Puerto Rico who was dominating and like Aruba they couldn’t get past the opposition keeper. A game of two halves in every sense of the word Puerto Rico 0 Aruba 0 Trinidad & Tobago v Guyana: Group 2 Trinidad were in control from start to finish and on the 6th minute they grabbed the lead as R.Charles hit a wonderful effort into the top corner of the net. Thirteen minutes later they were two goals to the good as J.Scotland headed in from close range after the Guyana keeper flapped at a corner. On the 27th minute though Guyana pulled a goal back as B.Jerome slotted home past the Trinidad keeper. The second half was three minutes old when R.Charles grabbed his second of the game with a rasping low effort which gave the opposition keeper no chance of saving. Straight from the restart Trinidad intercepted the ball and countered with J.Scotland finishing the move to make it 4-1. The second half was three minutes old when the next goal was scored as J.Bayunu fired in the equaliser for the Cayman Islands. Both teams carried on piling forward but neither of them could finish the moves and they had to settle for a draw Cayman Islands 1 J.Bayunu 48 Surinam 1 W.Kinsiani 35 Haiti v Dominican Republic: Group 3 Haiti started the better and on the 3rd minute they went into the lead as J.Maurice barged into the area and curled the ball past the onrushing keeper. The second half continued in the saw vein and on the 69th minute J.Maurice grabbed his and Haiti’s second of the game with a well struck effort from the corner of the area. The rest of the half was pretty quiet. However the second half was all El Salvador as they dominated the visitors. On the 56th minute they grabbed the equaliser as D.Umanzor curled the ball into the top corner of the goal after jinking in from the wing. Two minutes later El Salvador grabbed the lead with R.Corrales hit a powerful effort from just inside the area to give the Antiguan keeper no chance of saving. El Salvador gave Antigua no chance of getting near the ball but for all there pressure they couldn’t add an extra goal but they did enough to get the three points El Salvador 2 D.Umanzor 56, R.Corrales 58 Antigua & Barbuda 1 M.Leigertwood 13 St Vincent v Montserrat: Group 1 St Vincent controlled the game with ease and on the 6th minute they went into the lead as M.Turner headed in from close range to send the home fans wild. On the 33rd minute Puerto Rico were reduced to ten men after R.Molina was given a straight red card after a rash challenge on a Trinidad player. With four minutes remaining in the half Trinidad added another goal as J.Scotland fired in his second of the game. The second half was eight minutes old when J.Scotland completed his hattrick with a rasping low effort which gave the Puerto Rican keeper no chance of saving. On the 68th minute K.Jones added his second of the game with a simple tap in after the Puerto Rican keeper flapped at a simple cross. Two minutes later K.Jones completed his hattrick with another tap in after some more poor goal keeping. With two minutes remaining in the half J.Maurice added another goal as J.Maurice fired in from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the area. The second half was pretty quiet however on the hour the Cayman Islands pulled a goal back as S.Ross fired in from the edge of the area, but they couldn’t up their game enough to get back into game Haiti 3 J.Maurice 4, 43 pen, A.Marcelin 13 Cayman Islands 1 S.Ross 60 Surinam v Dominican Republic: Group 3 A game of two halves as Surinam dominated the first half with some excellent play and on the 37th minute they took the lead as P.Weibolt headed in from close range. The second half was all the Dominican Republic and on the 58th minute E.Jose Espinal fired in from the edge of the area. The second half was all Grenada again but they couldn’t add to there two first half goals. With four minutes remaining in the half D.de Rosario fired in from close range after beating the Bermudan defence with ease. The second half was eleven minutes old when W.Johnson grabbed a third goal for Canada with a curling effort from the edge of the area. The second half was much the same as Argentina battered the Bolivian side. Ten minutes into the half they grabbed another goal as C.Tevez hit and unstoppable effort past the keeper from just outside the area. However on the hour J.Mascherano was sent off for a second yellow card. After the sending off the Argentina couldn’t get forward and much and the scoreline stayed at 2-0, but it should have been a lot more Bolivia 0 Argentina 2 L.Messi 30, C.Tevez 55 Chile v Ecuador Ecuador started brilliantly and on the 2nd minute they went into the lead as C.Noboa fired in from close range after beating the Chilean offside trap. Ecuador continued to pile forward but failed to add to the tally in the first half. Fived minutes into the second half they doubled there lead as C.Benitez jinked into the area with ease and slotted in past the onrushing keeper. The goal seemed to wake Chile up and on the 65th minute they pulled a goal back as A.Sanchez headed in after some woeful marking in the defence. Chile upped the gears and started to dominate but failed to break down the Ecuadorian team Chile 1 A.Sanchez 65 Ecuador 2 C.Noboa 2, C.Benitez 50 Colombia v Uruguay Colombia opened the scoring on the 3rd minute with a rasping effort from the edge of the area with Falcao doing the honours. Five minutes later Uruguay were in the lead as M.Pereyra beat the offside trap and rounded the Colombian keeper to slide the ball into the open net. The second half was controlled again by Peru but with ten minutes remaining in the game Venezuela grabbed a goal back as S.Rondon volleyed in a cross past the Peruvian keeper. With a minute remaining in the game Peru regained their two goal advantage as A.Rodriguez jinked past the Venezuelan defence and dinked the ball over the onrushing keeper. On the 23rd minute Korea grabbed the lead again with K.Jung-Woo heading from a deep cross. Two minutes later Saudi Arabia equalised again as A.Autef half volleyed in from the corner of the area. Soon after they grabbed another goal as M.Ramos fired in a thunderous effort into the top corner of the net after breaking free of the midfield. The second half was much the same with Panama dominating the home side and on the 63rd minute R.Munoz grabbed a great goal after jinking in from the wings and unleashing a powerful effort past the keeper. Seven minutes later R.Munoz grabbed his second of the game and Panama’s fourth with a simple tap in after breaking through the defence St Kitts & Nevis 0 Panama 4 A.Gonzalez 1, M.Ramos 18, R.Munoz 63, 70 US Virgin Islands v Nicaragua: Group 4 Nicaragua started well and on the 7th minute they went into the lead as R.Silva barged through the defence and slotted in past the keeper. On the 25th minute it was 2-0 with E.Castillo showing great vision to curl the ball around the outstretched arms of the keeper. Nicaragua made light work of the home side but for all there domination they failed to add any further goals throughout the game. With seven minutes remaining in the half Barbados were reduced to ten men after D.Leacock was sent off for a professional foul. The second half was pretty tight but on the 75th minute the winning goal was scored as B.Petrou headed past the keeper from a tight angle. On the 24th minute though Curacao were reduced to ten men after S.Virginie was sent off for a rash challenge in the middle of the pitch. However nine minutes later they doubled the lead as S.Ambrotius headed in from under crossbar after the Bermudan keeper flapped at a simple cross. The second half was a real none event but on the 71st minute Curacao were reduced to nine men after S.Martis was given a straight red card for an elbow on a Bermudan player Curacao 2 C.Benschop 1, S.Ambrotius 33 Bermuda 0 Guatemala v Canada: Group 6 An entertaining game for the fans and on the 6th minute Guatemala took the lead as D.Pereira curled the ball in from outside the area after beating his marker. With right minutes remaining in the half Canada pulled a goal back as S.Jackson slotted in from six yards after jinking through the defence. The second half saw Guatemala controlling much of the play and on the 74th minute R.Samayoa made it 3-1 with a thunderous effort from 25 yards. However just before the half hour Argentina grabbed the lead as L.Messi used his skill to get through the defence and fired under the keeper. The second half was four minutes old Peru grabbed the equaliser as M.Mostto headed in from close range after the Argentinean defence failed to deal with a simple cross. After the goal though both teams never really got going and they both shared the points. Argentina 1L.Messi 29 Peru 1 M.Mostto 49 Ecuador v Colombia: Another poor game with little in the way of action. It took till the start of the second half for the only goal of the game to be scored as F.Caicedo barged through the defence and hit home past the keeper. Not a great game for the fans Ecuador 1 F.Caicedo 46 Colombia 0 Uruguay v Paraguay: An entertaining game for the fans with the teams sharing five goals. The first goal went in on the 32nd minute as Uruguay’s N.Lodeiro hit a wonderful long range effort past the outstretched arms of the keeper. With four minutes remaining in the half Uruguay grabbed another goal as D.Forlan slotted home from close range after beating the Paraguay offside trap. Just after the hour Uruguay made it 3-0 with E.Cavani heading in over the keeper to send the home fans wild. On the 69th minute though Paraguay pulled a goal back as E.Vera jinked through the defence and fired in past the keeper. Eight minutes later Paraguay added another goal with J.Ortigoza doing the honours from just inside the area. Paraguay were piling forward but for all there pressure they just couldn’t get that equaliser Uruguay 3 N.Lodeiro 32, D.Forlan 41, E.Cavani 61 Paraguay 2 E.Vera 69, J.Ortigoza 77 Venezuela v Chile: Venezuela started the better and on the 23rd minute they went into the lead as S.Rondon rounded the Chilean keeper and slotted into the empty net. The second half was all Venezuela as they battered the Chilean side and on the 62nd minute Venezuela finally grabbed the lead as G.Maldonado hit home from just inside area. However despite all the attacking football it took till a minute before half time for the opening goal as K.A.Irambona fired in a wonderful effort past the Eritua keeper. The second half was much the same with a lot of attacking football but they just couldn’t get past the keepers. Burundi 1 K.A.Irambona 44 Eritua 0 Central African Republic v Tanzania Another entertaining game with a lot of attacking football. However neither team could get through the solid defences. The second half was much the same however on the 69th minute Central African Republic were reduced to ten men after Foxi was sent off for a professional foul. Tanzania though didn’t make the most of it and the scoreline stayed at 0-0 Central African Republic 0 Tanzania 0 Chad v Congo The game was decided early in the game as on the 3rd minute Chad were awarded a penalty after a rash challenge in the area, A.Matoingue stepped up for the penalty and fired past the diving Congo keeper. Unfortunately for the fans that was it for the action in the game. The rest of the eighty minutes were in truth pretty dire. Chad 1 A.Matoingue 3 pen Congo 0 Djibouti v Comoros Comoros started brilliantly as within a minute F.Boinaheri had headed them into the lead. Comoros started the forward pressure and on the 27th minute they doubled there lead as F.Boinaheri curled the ball in from the corner of the area. The second half was seven minutes old when Comoros were reduced to ten men after M.Assoumani was sent off for a rash two footed challenge. The sending off ended up costing them as on the hour Djibouti pulled a goal back as A.Daoud beat the offside trap and slotted in under the onrushing keeper. African Qualification 1st Round 1st Leg: Part Two Ethiopia v Liberia Both teams seemed to struggle to get going. There was no sort of passing involved in the game and the fans let the players know what they thought. On the 54th minute Liberia were reduced to ten men after J.Dixon was sent off for a second yellow and that was about the best of the action Ethiopia 0 Liberia 0 Kenya v Guinea-Bissau Again a match with little in the way of action apart from with the last kick of the half as I.Onyango headed in from close range to give Kenya the lead. The second half wasn’t much better as neither team did much. A truly dire game Kenya 1 I.Onyango 45 Guinea-Bissau 0 Lesoth v Equatorial Guinea Guinea started well and on the 2nd minute they grabbed the lead as R.Bodipo fired in a great effort from outside the area. Guinea controlled the majority of the first half however they couldn’t get there efforts past the Lesoth keeper. The second half was again all Guinea and on the 84th minute they doubled there lead as D.Mbo Ondo fired in under the keeper. Two minutes into the second half Rwanda were reduced to ten men after F.Emeran was sent off for an elbow on a Madagascan player. Despite having the numeral advantage Madagascar couldn’t get forward. With six minutes remaining in the game Rwanda grabbed the lead as R.Ngabonzima fired in from just inside the area to give the ten men of Rwanda the victory Rwanda 2 J.Bangwene 29, R.Ngabonzima 84 Madagascar 1N.Bena 12 Sao Tome & Principe v Gambia Gambia were the better team from start to finish. On the 34th minute they grabbed the lead as M.Jarju headed in a cross from under the crossbar. Four minutes into the second half Gambia added another goal as M.Ceesay fired in from the edge of the area after the Principe defence fell asleep. On the 59th minute Principe grabbed a goal back with F.Chio barging into the area and slotting home under the Gambian keeper. The second half was all Korea and on the 62nd minute they added the final goal as N.Tae-Hee headed in from a deep cross. On the stroke of half time Korea took the lead as J.Tae-Se jinked through the defence and slotted in under the onrushing keeper. The second half saw Korea continuing the forwards pressure and on the 66th minute M.Nam-II fired in from the outside of the area. The rest of the half was pretty quiet with El Salvador keeping possession really well but not doing anything with it. The second half was much the same with a lot of possession play but little to show for it Montserrat 0 El Salvador 2 A.Campos 13, 14 St Vincent v Antigua & Barbuda: Group 1 St Vincent were the better team by far, however it was Antigua who grabbed the first goal as K.James fired in from close range after beating the offside trap. The frustration was clear to see on the Nicaraguan players and on then 68th minute it boiled over with M.Lopez receiving his marching orders for a two foot lunge. With five minutes remaining in the game it was 4-2 as R.Maria headed in after the Canadian defence failed to deal with a deep cross. Neither team managed a shot towards goal in the first half and the fans let them know what they thought of the teams performances. The second half was alittle better and on the 66th minute Argentina grabbed the lead as S.Aguero curled in a wonderful effort from the corner of the area after the Chilean defence failed to deal with his run. With six minutes remaining in the game Chile grabbed the equaliser as E.Puch fired in from the penalty spot after a poor challenge in the area. On the 88th minute though Argentina grabbed the winner as L.Messi ran through the defence and dinked the ball over the keeper. Chile 1 E.Puch 84 pen Argentina 2 S.Aguero 66, L.Messi 88 Colombia v Venezuela: The first half was dominated by Colombia but they failed to break through a resilient Venezuelan defence. However the second half saw Colombia up the gears alittle more and on the 69th minute J.Rodriguez headed in from close range after running in unmarked into the area. On the 88th minute Colombia were reduced to ten men after A.Guilar was sent off for a professional foul. With a minute remaining in the game Colombia added the killer goal as T.Gutierrez fired in off the post after the Venezuelan defence failed to deal with his run Colombia 2 J.Rodriguez 69, T.Gutierrez 89 Venezuela 0 Paraguay v Ecuador: A pretty even game with both teams going for it. It was Paraguay who broke the deadlock as on the 26th minute N.Valdez ran into the area and unleashed a thunderous effort past the Ecuadorian keeper. With six minutes remaining in the half Ecuador grabbed the equaliser as F.Caicedo beat the offside trap and rounded the keeper and tapped into the empty net. The second half was much the same with a lot of attacking football and on the 78th minute the winning goal was scored as C.Benitez hit a great effort from 25 yards to give the keeper no chance of saving Paraguay 1N.Valdez 26 Ecuador 2 F.Caicedo 39. C.Benitez 78 Peru v Bolivia: Peru gave Bolivia a footballing lesson with some great play. On the 6th minute they grabbed the lead as C.Pizarro showed his skill to half volley the ball past the Bolivian keeper. Twelve minutes later C.Pizarro added his and Peru’s second of the game. They continued to dominate and on the 34th minute they added another goal as A.Mendoza headed the ball over the Bolivian keeper. November 15th: African Qualification 1st Round 2nd Leg: Part One Comoros v Djibouti (agg 2-2) Twelve minutes in the game Comoros took the lead as K.Mohamed fired in from the penalty spot after some poor defending from Djibouti. After the goal Djibouti stepped up the gears but for all there pressure they couldn’t get through the Comoros defence. The second half again was all Djibouti but with two minutes remaining in the game I.Daoud equalised the tie with a fine header. Comoros 1 K.Mohamed 12 pen Djibouti 1 I.Daoud 88 Comoros qualify for the next round due to the away goals rule after drawing 3-3 on aggregate Congo v Chad(0-1) Congo equalised the tie on the 20th minute as C.Malonga dinked the ball over the onrushing keeper after breaking through the defence. However on the stroke of half time Chad retook the aggregate lead as K.Baye curled the ball into the top corner of the net after running in from the wing. On the 48th minute F.Zenaba took the lead as he beat the offside trap and fired into the bottom corner of the net. Three minutes later Congo took the aggregate lead as M.Moussilou sprinted through the area and fired past the Chad keeper. Chad tried in vain to grab the goal that would equalise the aggregate score but failed to find a way past the defence and keeper Congo 3 C.Malonga 20, F.Zenaba 48,M.Moussilou 51 Chad 1 K.Baye 45 Congo qualify for the next round with a 3-2 aggregate victory Equatorial Guinea v Lesotho (agg 2-0) Eighteen minutes into the game Guinea took the lead as B.Nguema curled the ball in from the edge of the area after beating his marker. On the 29th minute Lesotho pull the game level as L.Majara looped his header over the Guinea keeper. Seven minutes into the second half Guinea grabbed the lead back as P.Obiang hit the ball in off the upright after running into the area without any sort of pressure. On the 63rd minute Guinea killed the tie off as B.Mukemba thundered the ball over the keeper and into the net. Lesotho managed to pull a goal back on the 72nd minute as M.Mokhele jinked through the defence with ease and slotted in under the keeper. Equatorial Guinea 3 B.Nguema 18, P.Obiang 52, B.Mukemba 63 Lesotho 2 L.Majara 29, M.Mokhele 72 Equatorial Guinea qualifying for the next round with a 5-2 aggregate victory Eritrea v Burundi (agg 0-1) Burundi killed the tie off on the 14th minute as L.Bangama beat the offside trap and hit the ball under the Eritrea keeper. However after the goal the game pretty much died a death as Eritrea looked content to just sit back in defend. With nine minutes remaining in the game Burundi add a second goal as A.Shabi headed in at the near post after running in unmarked.
