Steam was always going to fail when implemented in the game. I'm sure it's not failed for SI with decreased piracy after initial launch, and I'm sure it's not hurt their sales either - so it's perhaps not a failure for them. But for the community, I think we were all reluctant to buy the game knowing it was going to be integrated with Steam and since release it's not done anything to dispel that thought process.

Most hardcore gamers who've played numerous releases on Steam have had many-a-hard time. I've grown to detest it.

I think it's an animation problem; in other words it is supposed to be momentum carrying them out, but the 3D engine isn't showing this properly.

No idea why it's being punished with a red card though.

This never happened to me before this patch, now it happened for the first time, only once. and it was punished by a yellow card, not red.

Just those two nations when continuing an old save game.

Will a update be shipped that fixes it - right now I'm unsure if I should wait before continuing with my save game.

As far as I know these two bugs are the biggest bugs in the update, correctly?

Maybe not an issue...but Teams seem to spend a hell of a lot of money and buy top players easily. Man City bought Thiago Silva from AC Milan in January for £37m despite Milan still being in the Champions League... Pastore joined Chelsea for £13m.. Inler, Hamsik both joined Inter along with Adil Rami for £30m. Not sure where Inter are getting their money from. Liverpool spend ridiculous amount on rubbish..okay maybe this is like real life :D

But I have noticed top players leave easier than before. But that could just be me just noticing it more as I'm managing in the Premiership.

Anyone having problems with morale?

It seems to fluctuate so easily in the new update.

Top of the league with Roma, Siena away all players on "playing nervously + 2 without confidence" Despite having very good morale at kick off and no adverse effects from team talk.

It's happening in other games as well, I know there are factors that contribute but I don't see how on a regular basis my players are playing "nervously, without confidence" hitting abysmal morale despite playing well?

Just seems ridiculous.

I really like the features of FM and I am a regular buyer of the game but some of the transfers that teams make are pointless and unrealistic. For eg Man City signed a keeper for £13m when they alread have Joe Hart (first season by the way) and Arsenal seem to buy Leighton Baines a lot in my files. IRL Wenger bought Santos as a number 1 left back to be sometimes rotated with Gibbs so why would Man City waste that money and Arsenal buy a LB for the sake of it? Just seems the AI are forced into making uneeded transfers.

They just offered me Balotelli for £16 million and I'm still playing the old save, also Mascherano was offered to me for £22 million. Never has this happened before.

OK. So we have a Balotelli problem. Mascherano, instead, in my old game was/is alway offer for 22 million euro in the second year of the game. In effect it was strange...

Im pretty disappointed about the patch, well not the patch itself but the fact that i cant play my main save anymore. Was really getting into the game and now cant play my save at all and don't know when or if i will be able to continue.

Hi Neil, I would say the player reputation issue (if it is indeed that causing it) is equally as big a problem. It ruins the realism for me to see the likes of Balotelli in the reserve team and available for loan. If there's a chance this can be rectified as well prior to any potential update/hotfix, that would be great.

For those of you experiencing the missing scout reports - I know a lot of you will have heard this already, but just to reiterate for those that haven't; we're sorry that you've been affected, and we are looking to address this issue as a matter of urgency.

To rectify it temporarily in the meantime please delete as many old scout reports as you can* and turn off roaming assignments (for now, as they are collecting too many results). This'll allow new reports to compile properly. As I say, this is a temporary solution and we'll update you again as soon as we have more news.

* to delete scout reports:

- Go to Player Search and clear all the filters, so that the maximum possible amout of players appears on the list.

- Sort them the scout report stars

- Click on the first of the list (or the first from which you want to delete the reports); scroll down do the last of those to be deleted. Hold Shift and select the last player (you'll have a very large selection of players).

- Then right click -> Scouting -> Delete reports

Has anything changed to improve the way in which Russian clubs sign high profile players from other European leagues? I'm now seeing many more players transfer to the high spending Russian teams from Italy, England and Spain for ridiculous somes of money - 3 of the leading transfers in the first season were to Russia.

They're not mega, mega names but more players of the same ability as Samba and Arshavin.

Since last wednesdays update, and i use the term loosely , all my downloaded faces, badges, strips and especially skins have suddenly disappeared, everything is still in the correct folders in My documents etc , but the game is no longer reading my graphics.

The Only graphics that ARE being read is Serie A club logo's. This is a p!ss take , and has totally ruined my game experience. No graphics = boring game.

please help me reverse the update or something , someone MUST have a clue here

First season also for Mascherano?!?! That's not realistic... and for me this is a problem, like the Turkish/Greek problem and the Scout problem... FM is a great game because IS/WAS realistic, but with these kind of transfer logic it will not.

I guess to hear the voice of SI... I just want to know if they consider this a problem like the others one.

SI never gives estimations on patch dates, and there' no way to revert to a prevous version.

And on a theoretical note, i would like to add that its **** like this that drives people that actually pay to piracy...i will certainly think quite a lot before buying any FM titles in the future

Steam was always going to fail when implemented in the game. I'm sure it's not failed for SI with decreased piracy after initial launch, and I'm sure it's not hurt their sales either - so it's perhaps not a failure for them. But for the community, I think we were all reluctant to buy the game knowing it was going to be integrated with Steam and since release it's not done anything to dispel that thought process.

Most hardcore gamers who've played numerous releases on Steam have had many-a-hard time. I've grown to detest it.

Glad I'm not the only one having transfer issues related to cost for certain players. That's exactly what I was thinking in regards to injuries BiggusD that something changed somewhere else was affecting injuries.

Be realistic mate, SI can not possible tell you when they are going to fix or update anything when it's impossible to put a time limit on how long it will take to find the problem and re-write it! No programmers could do this it's just not possible so you'll just have to wait like the rest of us.

Eer? No, no, no. It's perfectly possible to do an ESTIMATION. they just choose not to give it. Pretty common on IT. Of course, estimations can, and sometiles, DO fail.

MONTREAL IMPACT should be playing in the MLS, also update the leagues roster please

Can't be done due to licensing issues, we only have the rights to the season which started in 2011 I'm afraid. Also we only could do the transfers update to code-lock date after the January transfer window closed which means not all changes could be included.

Yeah we never pre-announce updates/hot-fixes etc due to the fact things can change very quickly (nobody wants to wait around for a release only to find it's delayed due to factors beyond our control) but we are aware that a number of users are encountering issues post-12.2.0 and we're working on it. Apologies if you've encountered any of these in your save.
