I Can Score More Goals Than You, No Strikers Edition

Recommended Posts

I have enjoyed the pure goal based challenges but I'm about sick to death of strikers getting all of the love so here's a challenge for the rest of the team.

All of the players started from this basic set of statistics:

Age 16

CA 100

PA -10

Injury Proneness: 2 (Injuries blow)

Determination, Ambition, Professionalism: 15 (to make sure they develop well)

Dirtiness: 5

Versatility: 5 (I want them to mainly stick to one position)

Home Reputation: 100

World Reputation: 50

A 5 year youth contract

Primary and Secondary leagues are loaded for UK, Spain, France, Germany and Italy. Once the players step out of the lower leagues I'll probably turn off the secondary divisions unless some of them are still out on loan.

Here are the 30 players in the completion, sorted by starting squad:

Starting facts:

The most expensive player is valued at 3,893,140

The cheapest player is valued at 7,060

The average value is around 1.7M

I'll give updates every 6 months of game time or so unless there's a cup or some such that our players are involved with.

January 1, 2013 Transfer update

Transfers from season start

Rocky Brittus joins the growing team at Man United for 2.2M

Mark Brown goes out on loan to Wigan from Man United

David Ginsberg moves to Valladolid from AFC Wimbledon for 65K

Simon Leigh moved on loan from Man City to Birmingham until the end of the season

Björgvin Radebe moved from Werder Bremen to Palermo on loan until the end of the season

Shaquille O'Neal moved on loan from FC Bayern to Sampdoria until the end of the season

Mid-season transfers that have been signed

Charlie Anh will move from Lazio to CS Sedan Ardennes (L2 France) on loan until the end of the season

After being fed up with not getting first team action Marco Di Mata signs a deal to move to Man United during the mid-season transfer window for 3M (like this will help him get more first team action?)

Jonas Dockx will go on loan from Liverpool to Genk until the end of the season

Edoardo Lorenzo will be moving from Fiorentina to FC Utrecht on loan until the end of the season

Wanted players, Unhappy players, other things of note

Helge Blendet has minor interest from Man United

Jim Bowman is loan listed but no clubs are showing interest

Glen Bunday has major interest from Man United (anyone notice a trend here?) and Tottenham

John Crane has major interest from Man City

Leeds wants Gypsum Fantastic on a loan from West Ham (he is listed for loan, so it may happen)

Dench Frimpong has major interest from Novara

Arie Kanarie seems destined to move, he has major interest from FC Kobenhavn, Man City, Tottenham and Basel and minor interest from, you guessed it, Man United.

Arawn Moridin also is generating major interest from Man City, Man United, Stoke and Tottenham

Mike Nevo is listed for loan but no one seems interested yet

Leeds is interested in taking Sercan Cali on loan from Juventus (he is loan listed)

And speaking of Tottenham, Jake Stothard has delcared that he wants to leave because he is not getting first team playing time and is unhappy.

Man United is going to have a pretty great team in a few years. :p

2 shots (1 on target) in 35 appearances, that's just brutal. Looks like being a DC is hopeless for scoring unless you're controlled by a human manager. I thought they fixed the AI to be better on corners?

Man United? Seriously? I thought by starting at Newcastle I'd be safe from joining a big club for a good few years. :( At least it looks like I'm playing some games though.

I've probably made it more difficult than I needed to by choosing the only full back...
