Well im very chuffed with the way the season has ended, a league title the first in ten years for Ajax, it just took a couple of signings and some tactical know how J, we managed to edge a very tight league fight, over a VERY strong PSV side, and then I did a rangers and nick the Europa league, with single goal wins, and back to the walls defending especially in the final Arsenal in all fairness should have taken us apart, but we still managed to hold out and ive claimed I think my first Europa league trophy.

Not sure what ill do next season ill enjoy Ajax or another year or so unless something interesting comes up.

I Am NOT happy losing the first leg to PSV, we were 2-0 up at half time but then lost our heads, we had lots needed to sort it out!, again we were in control, in the second leg but drew 3-3 and I’m not happy, I think I’m forced into the Europa so at least I get another crack of reclaiming that trophy, but I’m not happy at how poor we played. The league campaign got under way, and we managed to get a solid win Büyüksehir didn’t stand a chance, we dominated from start to finish and these are a side expected to finish in 10th. All the sides I’ve faced in Turkey seem to play 4-1-2-2-1 with DMC and AMR/L and the 4-4-2 seems to have torn apart the first two sides I’ve taken on with this. So overall I’m ok with it, still fuming from the performance in the Champions league, but happy with the start I’ve had in the League

Wow what a month, only 2 games conceded, The two wins in Europe were a highlight and it gives us a very small chance of somehow making the knockout rounds of the Europa league, I need to be St-Etienne in the last game by more than one clear goal, to qualify second on goal difference, in the league we had some consistency and we even managed to somehow beat Surprise package Altay, comfortably pushing us 5 points clear of the top, My goals should be coming from a player or two we are quite spread out with no single highest goal scorer.

Two wins this month is ok as its only a short month, would have preferred to win all three of my league games this month, on reflection I feel the draw was probably fair, as we just weren’t completely at the races that game I think I may have rested too many players for the Europa league only for us to get absolutely smashed by St Etienne and end the slim chance of qualification we had, oh well next season ill do better in europe, and I concentrate on the domestic competitions, The League mainly, if I bomb again in europe next season I May not still be here the following year.

Seven of the last eight league games are all against sides in the bottom half with one against 3rd placed Bursaspor, which will be tough but if I can beat Fenerbache and Beskitas in back to back games I must be able to do something with Bursaspor, im planning a big clear out over the summer with the aim of bringing in half a dozen good young Turkish players and a couple of quality foreigners.

So the league section of the competition was a breeze, we won that part comfortably and thankfully take a big big lead into the Championship group, as you can see from the final table its got to suck for Fenerbahce as they scored over 100 goals in the league but still finished 2nd, but it’s the championship group which decided the destination of the title, I really have no idea what happened in the last league game of the season, we dominated them, we should have won that but to concede 6 and lose 6-3 was frustrating and not the best way to progress into the championship group

Linfield

Facilities:

windsor-park.jpg

Capacity: 24374 (15602 Seated)

Built: 2005

Plenty of room for improvement in the squad I just need to be successful and I can possibly see a new stadium being built.

History:

Founded in March 1886 in Sandy Row in south Belfast by workers at the Ulster Spinning Company's Linfield Mill the team was originally known as the Linfield Athletic Club and played on ground at the back of the mill known as the Meadow.

Linfield moved to Ulsterville Avenue in 1889. After the purchase of a piece of land known as the 'bog meadows' just off lower Windsor Avenue in 1904, the club settled in what has become the permanent home of Linfield FC., Windsor Park, a ground that has hosted international matches since its opening. The first game at Windsor was played against Glentoran, the other half of Belfast's "Big Two," on September 2, 1905 – though Belfast Celtic were the club's main rivals at the time.

Roy Coyle who managed Linfield from 1975 to 1990 has been their most successful manager to date having won 31 trophies during his time at Windsor Park. He is closely followed by current Linfield manager David Jeffrey who has won 30 trophies since his appointment in 1997.

Linfield's former captain Noel Bailie achieved his 1000th appearance for the club when they played Crusaders F.C. in a drawn match. Shortly afterwards, on 27 April 2010, Linfield took their 49th league title after a 1–0 win against Cliftonville at Windsor Park in the Carling Premiership. Since Noel Bailie's retirement from football in May 2011 at the age of 40, Linfield have since retired the number 11 shirt. Linfield secured their 50th league title on 26 April 2011 following a 4–0 win against Lisburn Distillery. Their trophy haul makes Linfield the most successful team in Irish football.

Since these years, Linfield have only managed to win the league title a further 8 times, with cliftonville dominating the other years, Linfield have been very behind their manager refusing to sack their boss despite not lifting the title. For players they have always turned to the aging English players to make their key squad members, Their current striker is 35 year old Harry Kane, hes played for Norwich and sunderland but hes getting on now and for me needs replacing
