So we continue our great run, Domestically and on the continent, defensively since the arrival of Haase we seemed to be doing MUCH better I think he may become my captain in the next couple of years, I thought this month would be much harder than it turned out to be I thought we would struggle against Livorno and Wolfsburg in Europe along with a caning from Blackburn, only the sound beating from Blackburn happened as we did really well to be the Germans on home turn and Livorno in Italy. The only match next month that worries me is the Visit of Arsenal we should be ok in the rest of them.

So yea despite the solid start to the month with a comfortable win over Swansea (was more comfortable than the score line says) I welcomed titleholders arsenal and I took a leaf out of Martin O’Neil’s book and managed to frustrate their attacking players for 90 minutes, before we went to Wales in the Europe I expected a big win and set out to attack from 90 minutes only to get hit by their only shot on target then watch the rest of the game as my strikers spurned chance after chance after chance. We followed that up with a trip to the Manchester City stadium where we spun the result on its head and grabbed a great backs to the wall 1-0 victory thanks to Mocanu who scored a stunning strike, Normal service was at least resumed in the carling cup as we managed to continue our annual run to the semi finals. The final game of the month saw us go to mid-table West Brom where we ran out comfortable winners we keep the unbeaten run going somehow and sit joint top of the league

Wow I continue to be solid this season the first task this month was get something from Airbus some sort of revenge, and I feel we did that with a solid 3-0 win at home again we should have had lots more but their keeper pulled a blinder again. We followed that up by thumped bottom of the table Fulham as we continued our hunt for champions’ league football I’m not thinking about the title but only about breaking the top four. As a game against Liverpool showed we aren’t infallible as they easily brushed us aside, and we were poor only getting the goal because of a error by the Liverpool defence, we got back on track afterwards though as we trounced struggling Ipswich before beating West Ham with ease. Next month will be a tough one as we have the end of the Europa league group stage our annual outing in the league cup quarterfinal, and also tough games against Hull, Spurs Chelsea and Man Utd

What a mad month that was, starting in Europe dominating the Germans only to come away with a draw, edging past hull despite then being the better team, the rest of that month was just awesome we beat Everton with ease and perhaps should of scored a few more goals if I’m honest. Lake has been a brilliant buy for us as he already has 11 league goals this season and will continue to score more and he bagged a brace against Everton to put us into our Annual League cup Semi-final. We followed that up by spanking stoke I don’t know how they managed to get a couple of goals in but im not that happy with that we again could have had more.

Then onto our final Europa League game where we breezed past Livorno to seal the group we only won the group because we beat Wolfsburg earlier in the campaign as we both finished with identical records after winning the group we returned to domestic action for what I felt was a tough time as we welcomed spurs to the Stadium of light I set us up defensively as I knew spurs could demolish me and they dominated from start to finish however a great break saw us claim a point. I used the same game plan at Old Trafford again we came home with a point it could have been all three though as Mazzotta missed a penalty in the 15th minute. On Boxing Day we welcomed Mid-Table Aston Villa to Sunderland where we were in no mood for festive cheer as we took the midlanders apart better finishing wold have seen us get 5 or 6. The final game of 2039 saw us take on 10th placed Chelsea where the media called it a shock I called it expected we dominated a poor Chelsea side to claim the 3 points

Well it’s been a great month for us we should have done better against Everton and it would have left us even further ahead, but we made up for it as Mikhailov managed to grab a hat-trick to send us cruising into the 4th round of the FA Cup, we followed that by getting beat off Chelsea as we as usual collapsed in the carling cup semi-final, back-to-back wins over a couple of the bottom clubs left us top still before we finished the carling cup with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Chelsea, before a quality team performance sealed us passage into the 5th round with no draw to have been made it, the final game of the month leaves us 3 points clear as next month will be a tough one as we play Blackburn and Arsenal as well as the next round of the Europa league coupled with the next round of the FA Cup, this will be a fun month and could make or break our season

A ok ish month we did ok in the league but could have done better we started by completely spanking Blackburn and I didn’t expect it we followed it up with an absolute demolition against Swansea, we could have even had more Mikhailov had a stormer. After that we seem to get complacent we performed poorly against Benfica in the first leg, after that was over we knew that was it our European dream had ended, we only have the FA Cup and the league left to go for, the FA Cup we are still n as we qualified for the 6th round of the FA cup we finished the month poorly as we went down to benfica in the second leg of the Europa before losing to arsenal at the Emarites, we need to do better if we are going to finish with anything.

5th Liverpool 64 Points

A ok month slightly disappointed with some of the results to be honest, we should have done much much better against west brom we had the better chances and we had more possession we really should have left the hawthorns with at least a point but West Brom hit us the break and we crashed back to earth after the brilliant win over City. When we beat Fulham afterwards we keep our neck above water in the league, but Manchester United gave us a big blow when we went to Old Trafford and got completely smashed as we played poorly and deserved to get knocked out of the FA Cup. Back to back 3-0 wins ended the month again with us top of the league and im starting to believe. The run in is going to be difficult we have the hardest and we have to play both Spurs and Man U, im still leaning towards us only finishing 2nd.

Championes! Championes! Ole, ole, ole! What a season! This month I really started to believe, when we beat hull then thrashed stoke I was starting to feel confident about the spurs game, only to get taken apart, leaving us 2 points behind and with the harder run in, when we welcomed Man Utd to the Stadium of Light we knew anything but 3 points would do so when we went a goal down I thought that was it, the dream is over we had done well to get to that place but we just couldn’t make the final step, the second half as a complete turnaround as we came racing out the blocks to grab the equalizser we then got the second and held on for a vital 3 points and we were hoping Stoke could do us a favour, and they surprisingly did as they managed to get win which left us sitting 1 point ahead going into the last game where they took on Europa league winners Hull and I took on mid-Table Villa, well look at the table the rest is history….

Players Out

Joel Amouya – Swansea £6.25m

Well joel was at the club for three seasons after joining from Auxerre in 2037 for £4m he made 31 starts in his first season and 36 in his second to establish himself as one of my main centre backs, however the arrival of Haase saw him forced out as he only made 4 appearances last year so I let him go for a profit

Profit – £2.25m

Anthony Darcy – Everton £5.75m

Anthony was picked up on a Free from shamrock in 2033 and quickly made himself my top scorer and number 9, however the recent arrival of strikers has seen his chances gradually diminish he leaves the club having made 121 appearences and scoring 72 goals, he will score when we play Everton this year I know it!

Profit - £5.75m

Robero Bitancourt – Anji - £15m

Roberto came to the club I wanted to pair him with Mikhailov but his performances let him down in his two seasons at the club he only made 33 appearences many of those coming off the bench and when he started to complain about his chances I decided to let him go, and when moneybags Anji came calling I inflated the price!

Profit - £9.5m!!

Thomas Nekos – Olympiakos - £5m

So the Greek national right back goes home, he signed from Morton in 2031 when he was only 20 in League one I didn’t know he would go on to be mine and Greece’s first choice Right back, I knew he would be good when the big boys came sniffing in the premier league but he comtinued to be a great full back and at 29 is one of the oldest in my squad. He made 256 appearences in 9 seasons for us.

Profit - £4.86m

Fernando Lemma – Fiorentina £3.5m

The versatile Argentinian leaves the club for Italy after seeing his path to the first team continually blocked. He was a main player till we hit the premiership then the emergence of Walker and the performances of Mazzotta left him out in the cold he leaves after making 145 Appearences at Left back and left wing.

Profit - £2.825m

Well a good month as we started with a victory over Chelsea, as we took the game to the blues at the Chelsea stadium, we followed that up with a disappointing draw with relegation fodder after we failed to break the Londoners down. Next up was PAOK at home which poped up the same issues as we struggled to break them down but we managed to break the deadlock as I decided a tweak in tactics was in order as I upped our creative freedom and made us play wider and it helped as Bolton set themselves out to defend but we just played around them and came away with 3 points and a healthy win, we them brushed aside Yeovil in the cup set up a tie with Blackburn. The last game of the month again saw a side set up defensively looking to hit us on the break, only for us to beat them comfortably and rise to the top of the table.

This month was a disappointing one for us to be honest as we only got two wins from six, it was a difficult month though and I didn’t expect to win them all, we started against French side PSG in the champions league and we spurned chance after chance after chance only to get hit on the break and lose the game we followed that up by starting poorly away at Arsenal who went 3-0 up the 50 the minute before we started our comeback only to run out of time as we were getting going. We finally got a win this month at the third time of asking as we brushed aside wba and it could and perhaps should have been more. We followed it up by easily beating the champions’ league group leaders A. Madrid at home, before edging a draw with Man City, Finally was the carling cup and we won’t lose in the semis this year I suppose. Next month will be easier and im considering a change of tactics soon too.

Cracking month for us! 10 league points from 12 as we continue to hang around the top four, we started the month with visit of bottom of the table Everton. We completely took them apart and could of hit double figures, but ill make do with Gavin Lakes hat-trick, we then ventured to Spain for a champions league tie, and we found ourselves losing 2-1 at the break only for a good turn around and found ourselves 4-2 up at one point but 4-3 is a good turn around and we got three vital group points. We comfortably beat stoke and Leicester in the league as we took our tally to 14 from 4 games as our football continues to get us the goals, the 1-1 draw at the KC was disappointing but lucky as we played poorly, but we picked ourselves up afterwards to beat Greek champions PAOK in the champions league to qualify for the next round.

Well this a good month as 16 points from 18 as we kept going on the title run, its only December but the gap is small and there’s five of us in the hunt for the title, the game against United hurt us a lot, The opening game of the month was disappointing as we should have taken three points, but forest came back from 2 down to draw us to be fair to us Forest seem to be beating other bigger clubs too, they helped us as they beat Man Utd when we needed it, We kept a good run going as we then ebat Spurs comfortably, drew unluckily perhaps should have won in France but the point saw us through to the knockout round, before Europe breaks for the winter We then went on to beat Swansea and Villa before the big game against United, we started well at Old Trafford only to throw it away and leave us what I thought with problems for the second half of the season but the Christmas was a great one for us as we absolutely destroyed Liverpool before winning comfortably against West Ham and we went into the new year leading the league.

Bit of a mad month for us as we won some we drew a game we should have won and we…no wait we didn’t lose. We opened the month with a comfortable win in the FA Cup as I sent out the younger lads to get some experience. We followed it up with a trip to Blackburn where at one point we were 3-1 up only to throw it away and end up coming away with only one point we should have done much better defensively Next up was a tricky tie at home to Chelsea but Mikhailov was on fire as we ran out comfortable winners over Chelsea the score line flattered them as we should have more. We ended the month with a narrow win over Charlton to put us back on top of the table, as results went our way next month is a toughy as we take on Gillingham in the next round of the FA Cup, Host Arsenal in the Premier league and the return of the Champions League as we have to play my old Club Dortmund.

Well a weird month as we showed our ability in front of goal but also our inability in front of goal, we got the month off to a flyer as a Gavin Lake hat-trick saw us into the 5th round of the FA Cup with a easy win over Gillingham, Then we went to Loftus road and absolutely trounced QPR, with that man again Gavin Lake grabbing another hat-trick. We then welcomed Bolton to the Stadium of Light as we trounced them 4-1 as Lake got a brace taking his tally this month to 8 goals in 3 games! Best £4m I ever spent however it came to a end against Arsenal as a hard tackle saw him limp off with a Gashled leg and he missed three games, we managed to grab a 0-0 against the Gunners before the vsit of my old club Dortmund and we proved to be the better side as we finished with a 3-0 first leg win to give us a great chance of making the Quarter Finals. However we struggled to convert chances against Barnet in the 6th round and will have to play them again next month
