Vodu Posted January 4, 2012 Author Share Posted January 4, 2012 Whats the match prep vodu?? Same as 442. This tactic us still going great for me since the 12.1.1 patch. I was struggling with Oldham in League 1 with another tactic, sitting 19th after my first 6 matches. I then switched to the original Vodu 442 tactic, and have since gone 13 games unbeaten (won 9, drawn 4) and climbed up to 2nd in the league.I had great success with this tactic before the patch (finished 2nd in first season with Everton, no signings), so I don't know why I ever stopped using the tactic. I won't be making the same mistake again! Thanks again Vodu. Nice to see that there´s some people having fun and using it in the new patch. swedishchef_uk Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 I have to confess to struggling since the patch. Oddly, the first few games were ok and I put together a nice set of wins. But once I lost, I couldn't stop. I don't think I've ever had such a winless run in FM. Other teams passed through the centre of my defence as if it wasn't there. Teams I'd destroyed a short while ago were now passing me off the pitch - any ball aimed into the corner left my FB's for dead. To put this in perspective, I'm a relatively small Belgium team in the top division. I am not expecting to win every game - but I should be able not to lose by 2-3 goals each time I take the pitch. Looks like once morale dropped a little, it all collapsed and even with excellent responses to team talks, I still can't buy a win. I'll keep up the fight as I'm close to ending the season - but the patch has ruined the enjoyment I was having. But watching a full match the goals I'm conceding aren't from lack of pace. I'm going over the tactic to see if the defense can improve as I think it's a good tactic and I love flat 442's. FranklinMT Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 Tried the 4-4-2 v1 on a new game with Torino in Serie B and I can only say that this is the best tactic on FM12!! Went through the league unbeaten (39-3-0) and won the italian cup in my first season beating AC Milan,Roma,Chievo and Lazio (in the final) in the final. At the start of my second season I`ve already won the Italian Super Cup against AC Milan (4-2) , beat Trabzonspor 8-1 agg. in the Europa league qual. and won my first two league games against Cesena (5-0 away) and Bologna (4-0 home) and beating Pergocrema 8-0 in the cup! The one thing I`ve changed is that the MR and ML is moved to striker positions (RS and LS) so that I`m playing a 4-2-4 and it has worked like a charm for me!! Great work Vodu!! I have won all my matches in my second season so far.. League , cup and Europa League.. Haven`t lost since I started the savegame with Torino! between 65 and 70 matches so far.
