ADent01
Hello everybody! This is the first tactic I'm posting. I'm not an old-school FM player (started with FM 11) and I don't know if I'm any good at developing tactics at all. When I started to play FM I downloaded a lot of different tactics because I was overwhelmed by the "complexity" of the tactical options and I had no idea how to handle them. After some time I became more and more interessted into creating tactics by myself and this is the first tactic I created that night be worth sharing. Unfortunatley I'm very busy at the moment and I don't have much time to play. So I decided to start a Barca safe to play around a bit. Normally I like to start as a sunday league manager and than work my way up but this will have to wait until I'm not that busy anymore. "Philosophy" of the tactic This tactic is not an attempt to emulate Barca's Tikki-Takka-Style. Yet, I wanted to create a tactic that creates football that I enjoy to watch. I wanted: x) Posession: >50% in 9/10 matches (>55% at home) x) Passes: A good amount of passes but it was not my goal to get a certain player to 100+ (e.g. Xavi) x) Team play: All the players should be involved into the game. x) Avoid "dead" posession: CB passes to FB, FB passes to CB, CB passes to FB, FB passes to CB...... zzzZZZzzzZZ ..... CB kicks it into row Z.... All in all I wanted to create a tactic that results into a "flowing" style of play without moving the ball around pointlessly. The Formation A standard 4-2-3-1: Flat back four, two CM (Stopper / Cover combo), one AMC, AML / AMR (Inside Forwards) and a FC Philosophy: Balanced Stratey: Standard Team Instructions The sttings for D-Line, witdh, tempo and time wasting are "fixated" so that they don't change when you change strategy from "Standard" to "Control" or something elese. My team is playing with a slow tempo and low time wasting. I found that this gave me the best results but I'm not sure if these are the "best" settings. Feel free to experiment a bit. FAQ With what team did you play? So far I only used this tactic in my Barca safe. At the moment I don't have the time to play a "from rags to riches" safe. I sold a few players (Abidal, Keita, Fontas, Muniesa, Rodri...) and bought Phillip Lahm for the DL and I retrained Mascherano to DC. My line up ("best 11"): GK: Valdes DL: Lahm DC (Stopper): Mascherano DC (Cover): Pique DR: Alves MCL (AP): Xavi MCR (BWM): Busquets AML: Iniesta AMC: Fabregas AMR: Sanchez FC: Messi Does it work with lower league teams? I don't know and I don't have time at the moment to test it. Pitch Size? I use maximum. Match Preperation? Pre-Season: None / very high workload Season: Teamwork / average workload OI? I ask my AssMan and add: closing down always for opponents DCR and DCL. The idea is to pressure the central defenders immediatly and force them to play a long ball. Any playmaker / target men used? I leave the boxes unticked. Feel free to experiment... Target men: FC and Supply: Run onto balls might work well... Player Requirements In a nutshell: I look for "intelligent" players who are able to pass the ball around and contribute to the play. Key stats for me: Teamwork, Technique, Passing, Creativty, Decisions, Anticipation... Download http://www.gamefront.com/files/20997115/4-2-3-1+%281.5%29.tac Rember... I'm not very experienced when it comes to creating tactics... This one works for me but I have no idea if it is a good tactic at all. It is not 100% finished... I still change and tweak things. Feel free to change the tactic and experminet a bit. Best ADent...

ADent01
when would you go attacking etc.... I start with: Standard If I don't score within the first 25 min. I usually change to control. If I need a goal I apply the following changes: x) Strategy to control x) FC from DLF to Poacher (or simply remove Hold up Ball) x) Inside Forwards: Crossing from sometimes to often, run from deep to often To protect a lead.... I usually don't make any changes. I found to best way to protect a lead is to score another goal
