Just hasn't happened ever, and that has always been a bummer for me. Well, maybe things have changed with recent versions, because this is the first guy I've had who could turn into a fairly good player. I was pretty much in the same boat in earlier versions, but once I managed Bayern last year, I quickly learned that it is possible to get some good players. Fredric Drum Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Nah, after a few seasons I'd have top facilities and youth academy and play another 20 seasons without a single good regen, so it's not that. But last time I played a lot was FM09, so it may have changed in FM10 or FM11. This year I've had 2x "the next someone" with basic youth recruiting (I also have the new Emiliano Viviano (GK), but can't be bothered to screnshot it) in 7 seasons versus jack all for hundreds of seasons earlier. I have done some pretty detailed analysis into regen quality in each version and there was a significant increase in the quality of regens between FM09 and FM10 and it continued into FM11. Came by 2 regens, dubbed the new platini, and hugo lloris. I got a regen at Aston villa who came as a youth candidate. Dubbed the new cAshley cole. But he got injured for 3 weeks. It's surprisingly hard, but very very satisfying indeed when you get them right. Defenders in particular are hard, but strikers are somewhat easier.
