We're too good for the league, but all of my fellow Icelandic teams won their first games in Europe, which is going to help us in the medium term if we're ever going to win the Champions League. Champions League Walked through to the group stages, where we were paired with - Barcelona Inter Milan Werder Bremen Great. Thanks. We actually took the lead in both games against Barcelona, which was amazing. Werder Bremen lost all 6 games and we took a Europa League place. We got drawn against Leverkusen and had our bottoms handed to us. Feel like we were quite unlucky with our draws, we've got a decent ranking in Europe, so hopefully at some point we'll move up to be a 3rd seed, rather than a 4th seed, things'll improve a little after that. Cups Retained both the domestic trophies, plus what I presume is the Super Cup/Charity shield. Infrastructure We are now in our new ground, holding 8,550. We sold out in our European games, which gave the highest crowd ever seen on Icelandic soil. Our training and youth facilities were upgraded in the off season to Good and Adequate respectively, we're now undergoing a £5.5m upgrade to the training facilities which will be ready for next season. Squad building I'm starting to build up a good pool of Icelandic kids, which I'm going to use with the hope of getting my first Icelandic international through my youth squad. Hopefully that'll be Bjarnason who looks immense and is now first choice. None of my decent players will sign new contracts when they're coming towards the end of their deals. That means each year I'm selling off 4-5 of my best players (including getting £11m for Lars Bock, who was immense). My interested list is improving though, so I'm actually strengthening my squad whilst also making a net profit on the transfers. This means I've got £20m in the bank with nothing to do with it. This guy; Sindre Fossan, I've mentioned him a few times for his decent performances in the division below despite his relatively poor attributes. Well this season he's been given more game time due to a long term injury to our inspirational captain and he's come in and had a storming season so far, netting some very important goals. Yerko van Basten Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 SV Schwechat - 4th season 15/16 After i won Tipp3 Bundesliga again finally i got some cash from my chairman, he gave me 3M € for transfers (after club got more than 7M€ from Champions league) so i changed almost whole squad, sold 2 players for 2M and 1 for 3M, and brought few for free and some bought (aml/st Kevin Harbottle for 4,8M from Chile). So i hope we go further in CL (last year i lost all 6 matches in group stage) and looking forward to draw for last qualifaying stage... and we got AC Milan 1st leg at home lost 1-2 so we go back to the reality and continue our european way in Europa league... one question...our stadium has capacity of 8000 but only 2000 seats (this season 1 domestic match sellout=220k€, but in europe only 2000) is any way to get another 6000 seated-what to ask board- or is only one solution - new stadium??? Faultless Posted December 15, 2011 Share Posted December 15, 2011 Just won the treble with SJK in Finland, managed to make the group stages of the Euro Cup but were still way out of our depth there, have another chance at qualifying for the Champions League group stages next year but the team is a long way from competing on a European level. (2024/25) The reason I didn't do an update for it was because I was just infuriated with the challenge! With the domestic side of things no longer being a challenge, I only really play for the 12/13 European games in the season, so it does get tedious... especially if your team takes a step back and crashes out at the Quarter Final stage against bogey team Barcelona in the Champions League! Anyway, here is the update for the season that followed... FK Zemun - End of Season 2025/26 Club Info ~ Facilities ~ Finances League - Fixtures 1st half - Fixtures 2nd half - 1st Almost flawless, drawing one game again. I found myself in the position that, bar 3 or 4 teams, I could put out any combination of players and get a relatively easy match, so this was a perfect opportunity to bring out the youngsters. Does get a bit tedious after a while but that's 8 leagues and closing in on Partizan's 18 titles! Haha. Champions League - Fixtures Finally 1st seed! But it didn't give me an easier draw as I was placed with Atletico Madrid, Marseille and Olympiakos. A group a saw off by winning every game! I then met Juventus in the next round, tough opposition. They dispatched us 3-2 in the first leg but we claimed a lucky 2-0 win in the 2nd leg which saw us through... to face AC Milan. Playing the away leg first again, we were utterly outclassed 2-1 in the end and I thought the campaign was over... but cue a 4-0 thrashing at home and I was proved wrong! Chelsea saw off Inter Milan to meet us in the semi finals, I had never played Chelsea before so I wasn't too sure how to play it. Luckily we got the away leg first, and we actually managed a 1-1 draw that we really should have won! And because everyone was fit and not suspended we had the quality to oversee Chelsea 4-1 in the second leg!! I did it!!! I reached the final, and I was up against Barcelona. To be at the stage where I can call them my bogey team is magnificent, so at this stage I was genuinely skeptical of a win. I didn't even know how to play it. Over the years, I had crushed Arsenal and Zenit by 7 goal margins by starting off Attacking with high pressure, but this was Barcelona... so I played it safe with Counter... Barcelona didn't show up. Either that or we just wanted it more. Seydou scored in the 9th minute... and again in the 15th... and it was one-way traffic from the first whistle. They offered nothing!! We ended up beating Barcelona 4-0 to take become Serbia's 2nd ever team to win the Champions League, after Red Star in 1991!!! Serbian Cup - Fixtures Lost in the final due to internationals, yet again. This surely must be a bug, every Serbian Cup final has been like this! Key Players Apologies, I don't have screenshots as I have started the next season already, but I'll give you a quick run down: (GK) Pierre Delcroix - Only 20 and is a master between the sticks, very calm and collected and concedes few, which in Serbia isn't difficult (CB) Malte Sander - Great heading ability means that he is a threat when going forward... (LB) Anzoumana Kone - ...and when you have a LB with 19 for Corners and 20 for Crossing, aerial ability is vital. Can't believe Kone is 30 already, he's entering his 10th season at the club and has amassed 190 assists in 228 games, absolutely magnificent player. (MC) Rayan Afkir - I really admire the Moroccan's patience, I kept sending him out on loan to my non-league affiliated team for 4 seasons in a row, I don't know how he didn't go insane! His patience has paid off though, what a great little player (MC) Vladimir - The Brazilian Frank Lampard (with pace). Awesome long shots, free kicks, passing, a club legend in general (LW) Mame Diedhiou - Similar to Afkir, had to be very patient and did want to leave occasionally but once he got into the first team.... oh boy (ST) Seydou Traore - Absolute legend. 369 goals in 327 games, outstanding from the Frenchman. Yes, it is the Serbian league but to maintain that is pure gold. 68 caps and 66 goals for France tops it all off to be fair. Don't know how R. Madrid didn't poach him! Best Eleven Random Points - Challenge complete! But I feel a bit empty.... - Firstly, the stadium never changed. We had 12,000 the whole way through. During this season and last, the board claimed that a stadium was being built but nothing showed up in the boardroom progress screen or the facilities screen. After I updated to 12.1 though, and I should be getting a stadium next summer. Doesn't say capacity though - Secondly, a little bit disappointed with the youth set up. I have SOTA youth facilities, excellent junior coaching but only 1 player made it to the first team. A 2nd play, Nikitovic showed potential but that was about it. - No matter how hard I tried in Europe, I couldn't bump up Serbia's coefficient enough to get loads of European places for Serbia... but it doesn't matter because they all did cack anyway :/ - Not sure what to do with myself now! Managed to take this seasons promotion race to the final game of the season, but it wasn't to be as we lost to our bogey team again (Asker Fotball) and promotion rivals secured the points they needed. So a 5th finish for the second season running was secured. In the Cupen we went down to a 4-0 defeat against Tippeligaen Molde at home in the 3rd round. Sindre Fossan; my favourite Sola player for sure had an excellent campaign and was potent left or right wing positions. Jonas Olsen a slight improvement on last season, I am now convinced this guy isn't the answer to my goalscoring problems. Alexander Stølås our newly appointed captain had a dire season and had 3 month injury lay-off and his attributes have been servilely hit. Daniel Storvik the youngster I signed from second division Ålgård mid way through last season has come on leaps and bounds and is now the creative hub of the team in middle of the park. Vice captain Tom Omar Sande had a storming season yet again at centre back. He also got the fans player of the year. Top scorer fell to the unlikely Espen Maldal, 3 pens and 6 from corners earned him the title. Average attendance: 896, much improved on previous season, up by 214. Next season: If we can find a goalscoring forward that will aid our promotion chase for sure. It looks like the other teams took us more seriously, so we got punished a lot this time. Lots of narrow defeats, bad morale, and at one point we went twelve games without a win. It didn't start well but this is a tough group, then we had a chance to meet Marseilles and the goals were flowing and victory over Bayern secured 2nd place. One of my scouts finally found Turkey in January, so I took a punt on three youngsters (two of which are full backs). Mlungisi Morfou is a frightening purchase, and I desperately hope I can keep him here for as long as possible. As predicted in last years report, Eduardo and Rotundo were excellent purchases, coming 1st and 2nd in Division 2 Young player of the year. , which was nice.Mlungisi Morfou Season report After a slow start, with too many draws, we hit our stride and pretty much toasted the division, scoring over 100 goals in the process. The exception to this was KV Mechelen, who were outstanding from the start. Despite our 27 game unbeaten streak, Mechelen's 30 games unbeaten kept them top. On the last day of the regular season, we started one point behind them, and for 13 glorious minutes were top, but Mechelen hammered Deinze 1-4 to secure the title. The playoffs were just as tense, losing players to youth internationals meant we lost the home game to Mons, but they were back for the away game and a 1-1 draw secured the top playoff spot and promotion. The cup run was frankly silly. I can't even believe I'm typing this because it's so dumb. Home draws helped, as did drawing recently promoted Pro league teams. Division 2 Wetteren in the quarters came after they knocked out Antwerp. The semi-final comeback was entirely due to Eduardo, who came off the bench after Legros got injured and scored two and made another. The final was as daft a game as I've ever seen, if I told you about it, you wouldn't believe me. This means we are in Europe next season. Yikes! Squad report It feels a bit bloated, and it's inevitably going to take a hammering over the summer, as I try and make a Pro League team. Up front is fine, in fact I've been retraining some strikers as wingers just to be able to give them pitch time and keep them happy. I've only really got one full back I'm happy with (Rotundo), and the CD and CM positions need work. Maybe the Turkish full backs I picked up in January will develop fast. They'd better, I need them. Legros has finally peaked at 32, and it's going to be all downhill from now on. He's been an amazing player for me, and I'm going to try and make him staff at some point. Guillaume Legros Short term plan from last season "Promotion, turn pro, squad stability, spend money on a player". Well, I got the promotion and turned professional, but the squad is still in flux, and I haven't spent money yet, although I do have a little cash should I want to. Short term plan for next season Stay up. Build a professional club. Easy. The new stadium is complete, a 5385 capacity ground with 1346 seats. I should start bugging the board to revamp the other facilities now we're pro as well I guess. Belgium in the world Not a great year for Belgian clubs in Europe, only Brugge made the Champions League group stages, and came bottom behind Schalke, PSG and Man United (third, ha ha). Shaktar's semi final in the Europa League will hurt our efforts to catch Ukraine in the coefficients. Keeping two servers up for a few groups of friends leaves little time for this challenge, but I am keen to get through more seasons, being on holiday now. A lot of my transfer activity was sealed towards the end of the previous season, when I scoured the non-league Slovenian teams for some quality players whose contracts were due to expire. I picked out three decent targets who were interested, two of which were from Sencur, a club playing a level below me. They were Dejan Kern and Luka Pavlin, while Dejan Misic also moved on a free. I signed Matic Seferovic a few days into the window, and then splashed a whopping £5K on Marko Jakolic to bring him to Krka from another Slovenian club. The season has started steadily, with 3 points from three games. I can't see relegation being a possibility this year, the promoted sides, Izola and Odranci don't look like they'll provide much threat. Another season of mid-table fun looks on the agenda. Summer Transfers, 2013 Squad My formation gets yet more attacking, with the 'score more than them' approach seeming the way forward. Will be back in June. This was a great opportunity for the club to press on and develop as a club. Here is an overview of our adventure. European Cup Qualifying Stage Second Knockout round - Locomotiv Astana First leg Locomotiv Astana Second Leg European Cup Qualifying Stage Third Knockout round - GNK Dinamo Second Leg European CUp Champions Playoff sees Tiller draw FC Steaua Bucharest Second leg result! So Tiller, on the first attempt make it through to the Group Stages.........so Group B it is then! As you can see this was one hell of a tough group, so just a couple of decent results would be nice. Our opening game against Bayern Munich was by far our best performance. Nobody saw this result coming! Another good result was a home draw against Roma. All in all a pretty pleasing first foray into Europe. Whilst this campaign was underway we managed to do the double domestically and another attempt at European glory was afoot. Tiller's European Adventure 2018 European Cup Qualifying Stage Second Knockout round - Sheriff European Cup Qualifying Stage Third Knockout round - Shamrock Rovers European Cup Champions Playoff Tiller make t through to the group stages for the second successive season. This saw us drawn in a Group alongside Inter Milan, SLB and CSKA Moscow. If we were able to perform well at home and pick up a decent away result or two, we might just qualify. Group Table! So through we went and qualified to face Paris Saint-Germain. The first leg was at home and we needed a good performance to take on the road. We played really well and managed to win the home leg 2-0. This meant that we had a chance of progressing if the defence could hold up to the test. The Second Leg was a bit of an interesting affair, and the final aggregate score was.....................8-2 Quarter Final Stage and we are drawn against a tough Roma side. The result against Paris had given us a great confidence boost and off we went full of self-belief. So the Quarter Final Result was not overly surprising! So, here we have it a Semi Final draw against Arsenal. The boys had somehow managed to progress to the final 4! Well i won't drag this out anymore, here's the result......................Tiller v Arsenal! The final will be against Barcelona.........wish me luck!!!!
