blackdevil - Congrats on the promotion, well done!

dj clark boy - Best of luck in Italy!

My season is done, will type up something as soon as I can. Can say it was very similar to my last couple of seasons in Portugal though.

DodgeeD - Good luck with Keçiorengücü. I've had Yüksel Sariyar in my Pampilhosa team for a couple of seasons now, he's been a quite boring but very reliable midfielder.

Brettney1980 - Nice second season with Dardanelspor. Very respectable 10th place.

LLR - Goals win games, defenses win championships ! Looks like you've got the first bit well sorted just need to get the balance right.

Berty1978 - good to see La Vitreenne on the up, sounds like you are the opposite to LLR, the defense is solid you just need to find the goals.

Iacovone - nice first season write up. If I ever leave Portugal I think I'll manage in Italy next. Giorgio Natale has been awesome for you, great wheeling and dealing to get him !

Ohanzee - I remember FC Mulhouse ! Great to see that name back in the challenge. Good Luck !

Romanista1994 - Don't worry too much about your finances, if I remember rightly once you go up in spain the money grows on trees.

Drake44444 & Charlesbeams - Brilliant Promotions !

Dardanelspor A.S - Season 2014/15.

Dardanel_logo.png

League - Graph

An interesting season to say the least, started off amazingly being 10/1 to win opening game and doing just that, infact 3 games in against top 6 (predicted) sides and we pick up 7 points. But all good things must come to an end and around Christmas time we went on a slump, losing 4 in a row then scraping a draw against the bottom club before losing yet again and in this time add another loss where we went out the cup. A disastrous Team Meeting after the cup loss seemed to create this problem and then an hadfull of players wanted out - Mostly fringe players so not a real worry but the season looked dead. We managed to somehow pick up after a tactics change where i went back to an Attacking 3 up front and we won 3-0 twice in a row again against top teams but the mini resurgence didn't last long and an average finish saw us make 8th. So only 4 points off the playoffs but it might as well of been a mile.

Thoughts - We can find many positives from this year mostly that we know we can beat even the best sides on our day but we need to find a little more consistency, i dont think we really need too much in the shape of additions to the squad maybe just a few more Frees to test will be enough.

Aims for next Season - Ahain we must keep on aiming for the Playoffs, we keep getting offered some great Foreigners but with Bakalyan + Petrosyan we have two of our roles sewn in and irriplaceable!!!

Transfers - Finances

All Frees this year and next looks to be the same, managed to sell a couple of non first teamers though and we will release quite a few this summer as well.

A Typical Lineup;

Romanista1994 - Don't worry too much about your finances, if I remember rightly once you go up in spain the money grows on trees.

Good to know. Our current spending is not sustainable with the meagre income in the Segunda B.

brettney1980 - Some great players you have there, I'm sure you can make at least the playoffs next year. Shame about the coefficients, you'll have to do something about that when you're the big team in Turkey. ;)

Cheers for the good wishes guys. A short pre-season report:

- I'm only a month in since my appointment and no matches have been played yet, with only heavy pre-season training going on. We have 1 more month for 6-7 back to back matches to boost up match fitness.

- I really need to thin my squad down but no offers are coming around and with a few transfers to strengthen the promoted squad I guess we'll have around 50 registered players

- Not sure if I can push for promotion straight away as the squads in the league seem pretty equal in terms of ability. Morale and team work will solve the issue I believe.

- Trying hard to stay under wage budget so that finances won't haunt us in the future. Not sure if they'll but hey, precaution is always good :)

Drake44444, congrats on the promotion. Control the finances, build around the team you should have no problems.

duccio, congrats to you as well. Seems like I'll have to pick up my playing pace to catch up to you guys getting promoted :)

blackdevil, Bah! Another promotion. Congrats :) Bad luck to lose the lead though.

dj clark boy, Finally a no promotion update! Good luck in Italy mate.

brettney1980, getting closer to playoffs every year. Next season shall see you in top flight!

Also, thanks to Romanista1994 for the Clairefontaine Acadamy. I shall keep that in mind for the future years.

Iosu Esnaola - Our new rock at centreback.

Jon Errasti - The new defensive midfielder, who will focus primarily on his defensive duties due to his lack of attacking skills.

Nestor Salinas - A talented attacking midfielder with a bright future ahead of him. Will be backup for now.

Julen Zelaia - The replacement for ageing Alba, can potentially become as good as him.

Jon Manuel (same guy as last year) and Joseba Zaldua are loaned in to fill the starting leftback and rightback spots.

FC Mulhouse 2012/2013

5th in French National (pred: 14th) | Transfers | Finances | Graph

The League

Ups and downs all season, fighting for that 3rd place and promotion all the time, but in the end we just lost out. 2 points more would have done it, but no cigar, starting to see a pattern here. I mainly blame our defense. In no less than 7 games this season we conceded between 3 and 6 goals. Horrible. Our biggest win was 7-1, our biggest loss 1-6. Very inconsistent.

The Cups (french cup)

We only played in the French Cup and for the 6th to 9th round we did well, although only playing CFA or lower opposition. Nancy, who won Ligue 2 and are back in the top division next season, beat us in the 10th round.

The Squad (ratings)

Being allowed to sign free transfers until February, I kept signing new players as my scouts came with new reports. We had a huge squad, but not a lot of real quality. Most of them were given 1 year contracts so I can let anyone who didn't quite make it leave this summer.

Some picks :

Abdel Moukhlil - The clubs top scorer in the CFA promotion season and our 2nd best this season. He provided the most assists though and played less games than #1.

Geoffrey Malfleury - Our top goal scorer.

Tchanile Tidjani - According to our assistant he's our biggest talent. Mostly a sub this season, but I'll give him more starts in the coming one.

(If you want screens of anyone else just poke.)

The Club

Finances are no good. We lost £1M and that was being below the wage budget. Horrible average attendance of 587.

The Future

The goal is to keep the best players from this season and try to add a few new ones and get 2 points more next season.

My star CF Bakalyan refused a new contract (into his last year) and with teams watching him i think i'll have to let him go, i refuse to allow him to leave for free. Oh and one of my scouts has found me the 'New Jurgen Klinsmann' would be silly too not sign him good job he holds Turkish Citizenship.

Just had a nice experience with my board. One of my main issues last season was only being allowed 2 coaches and not having anyone good at fitness coaching. My players was complaining about the lack of a fitness coach all the time. So just for fun I thought I'd ask them to increase our number of allowed coaches. And much to my surprise they agreed with me. Am now allowed 4 instead of 2. First time I tried asking for anything staff related. Usually they turn me down no matter what I ask about at this level.

LLR - Goals win games, defenses win championships ! Looks like you've got the first bit well sorted just need to get the balance right.

Normally I have a great defense and struggle to win goals, no idea this season, though doing a quick run through I only have a few clean sheets, a lot of conceding 1 goal games, but those appear to be when I am winning 3-1. 4-1, 5-1 or higher, and then there are the blow-out games where my defense seems to go to sleep and we go down 2-0 or 3-0 and I end up losing 9-4 :p (More normally it would be 4-3, or 3-2 or similar), I can pull back a 2-3 goal led, but have to go all out attack and annoy one of my midfielders to do it, but then we always seem to concede again once tied...Going to try and work on the D, but it does seem to have improved since I put a DM in place...

I was planning to do a journeyman but thought I would wait until some patches and a few well-tested additional leagues are out. I didn't realise how much I'd missed the small-to-big club challenges until I started playing again! :)

We'll see how this goes first and IF I finish this challenge, I'll have to choose between another challenge and a journeyman.

Exactly the same as me - I didn't realise how much I missed small to big club challenges. Really enjoying this so far at Novese

Keçiorengücü January 2014 Update

2nd Division

We've just entered the winter break and all is going well. After a shaky start (a 5-3 defeat on the opening day and two draws in the next three games), we found our winning ways and shot up the table to the point where we are now two points clear the top, ahead of fellow Ankara side Hacettepe. Goals are what have got us here as we have bagged 60 goals in 17 matches to date, by far the top scoring side in the division - in fact we have scored at least two goals in EVERY GAME! One small worry is that the great attack plays ahead of a leaky defence - only 4 clean sheets so far and plenty of scorelines like 3-2, 4-2, 3-3 and even a 4-4! Still, I think we can keep this form going - as of yet, no signs of the slump that halted our title challenge last season.

Current Table

Turkish Cup

We got a bit lucky in the first two rounds with home ties against lower league opposition. That gave me a chance to give some youngsters a run out and rest some first teamers. The third round paired us with Bucaspor, also in the 2nd Division but in Group A. For the only time this season, we couldn't score and wouold agonisingly lose to a late goal... That was a shame as a win would have earned us a money-spinning home game with Beşiktaş.

Key Players

Three of the new signings I picked out in my pre-season report have been stars so far:

Sinan Meriç (DM) - he's been the lynch-pin of our midfield, relegating the highly-experienced Sariyar to the bench.

Uğur Yanıkdemir (AMR) - sensational on the right wing with 12 goals and 10 assists.

Yaser Hacimustafaoğlu (ST) - this guy's scoring record at his previous clubs left a lot to be desired but he's really found form with us (Player of the Month 3 out of 4 times already). 16 goals in 17 starts makes him exactly the kind of goalscorer we were lacking last season.

One player I inherited wehn taking over the club has also started to finally fufill his potential:Alican Karadağ (MC) - A run in the side has done wonders for this guy with my coaches now rating him as the best midfielder at the club (they had previously said he was 3rd best). Only problem is he's now got himself an agent who is demanding a very high salary for a new deal. I hope we can reach an agreement before another club snaps him up on a pre-contract...

Romanista1994, good luck for the season ahead. Glad you've managed to create a full Basque team already.

Ohanzee, unlucky to miss out on promotion this close.

Welcome back el sid!

DodgeeD, keep that Yaser guy on fire and you should win the league for sure!

tommy1872, excellent news mate! Let's hope you manage a good fight in top flight.

A quick one liner: Just loaned an all arounder defender to cover and use as a sub. 2 days in, he managed to get a hip injury, specialist 3-6 months! Sent him back to his club so that he can gain his health back. Off to player search and scout reports for a defence back up now :(

I just had a look and the whole first team is Basque, but there are still two non-Basque players who I didn't manage to sell. Next season the transformation will be complete. :)

I know the feeling with the loanees getting injured, exactly the same happened to Jon Manuel (I've brought him back this season) when he got injured for five months in his first match and I had to send him back to Real Sociedad "B".

DodgeeD - Nice going there.

tommy1872 - Well done, now you only have to break the Old Firm dominance. Glad to see Steven Lennon doing so well, I had him in Wales once.

Hello there, time to get this started then :)

TuS Koblenz

TuS_Koblenz.png

TuS Koblenz is a German association football club, located in Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate. Fussball Club Deutschland Neuendorf, which was formed in 1911, is viewed as the foundation of the modern club.

In 1982, the club adopted the name TuS Koblenz, but the club lingered in the Verbandsliga Rheinland (V). The fortunes of the club improved with their ascent to the fourth division Oberliga Südwest (IV) in 1994 where they remained for a decade. An Oberliga Südwest championship in 2004 was followed by a quick ascent through the Regionalliga Süd (III) where a second place finish in 2005–06 earned the club a spot in the 2. Bundesliga. Their 2006–07 campaign ended with TuS finishing ahead of expectations in 12th place, meriting an unexpected stay on the second level.

Any hopes of further improvement ended in in the late stages of the 2007–08 season when TuS was penalized by the deduction of eight points for not providing contracts for Marko Lomic and Branimir Bajic, turning a potential upper table finish into a lesser result. This was later reduced to six points for the actual season and three points for the following season 2008–09.

TuS Koblenz have appointed me, Peter Panic, as their new manager for the 2012 season. I've been given a 2 year contract worth £2200 per week. The club is valued at £1.2 million and predicted to finish dead last. Here's hoping that doesn't come true :D The club doesn't have an assistant manager, so thats something I need to sort out ASAP. I've set the season expectations as avoid relegation, and I've been given a transfer budget of £55k and a wage budget of £29k. We are presently spending £21.6k on our wages.

Also, there's one detail I haven't mentioned. On the books of the club is former Chelsea, Sao Paulo and Schalke player, Mineiro. He may be 36, but he's good enough for this league I reckon. Only problem is his contract, which runs out in 3 days.

F.C. Pampilhosa 2013/14 End of Season Update

FC_Pampilhosa.png

Part-time Pampilhosa building team for the future

League Table

Graph

Transfer Summary

Finances

New Faces

Andre Serrao - Still more experience needed in midfield and has a few good years still in him

Fredy - Seasoned pro, brought in more as cover than anything. Is very similar to my current left back

Joao Fonseca - DM in the middle of his career, expected to be playing from the subs bench

Mario Rui - Young kid for the future, the quick right back will hopefully soon be pushing for a starting place

Rui Rodrigues - Young CB who is probably good enough to get in my squad straight away

Season Report by Paulo Pestana of the Pamilhosa FC magazine

It's been another solid if unexciting season for the 300 or so season ticket holders at F.C. Pampilhosa. The team from central Portugal who always seem to get the winter blues continued the pattern from last season of a great start followed by a poor January which ultimately costs them dear when it comes to chasing down title contenders at the end of the season. Rumour has it in the media that the manager has a habit of completely misjudging the mood at New Years team meetings and that the predictable dip in form regularly follows.

In spite of the morale issues and worries that operating costs drive the club further and further into debt, the outlook is positive says chairman Manuel Ramos, who took over the club in January 2013.

"We have a great deal of confidence of Ricardo and are sure he's the man to lead this club to glory. The board and I are very happy with the steady progress we're making. This season I asked the local council for planning permission to expand the stadium. It was declined due to a technicality but my commitment to those kind of projects should demonstrate how ambitious our long term plans are and Ricardo is going to play a key part."

When asked about the club finances Ramos claimed to be unconcerned.

"Yes we owe the bank manager a little, it's no more than our preseason budget allowed for though. In fact the board recently agreed we have 90% confidence in Ricardo thanks to his control of the wage bill. For that reason and to push on in the league we're actually going to increase the available budget next season by around 10-15%"

The future does look bright for Pampilhosa. Arguably their most influential players this season have been youngsters signed by Chimenez who under the clubs guidance have developed into key first choice players. None more so than first choice goalkeeper, Thiago Martins. As the first signing Chimenez ever made there was a huge amount of pressure on both player and manager for Martins to be a success.

"I'm lucky that the boss had faith in me right from that first day" said Thiago, reminiscing "in our first meeting he said to me 'I want this club to be number 1 in the country and number 1 in europe and I want you to be my number 1 on the journey.' that gave me the confidence to believe in myself and desire to do all the hard work in training and at the gym that's made me a better player."

That training work has certainly paid off, in just 2 years Martins has increased his average overall player stats by a respectable 4.5%. The gym work alone has produced an amazing increase in the players strength of 43%. Assistant Manager Rogerio couldn't be happier

"Thiago's the most focussed young goalkeeper I've ever worked with. In the 2 years he's been here his positioning is up 14%, concentration up 8% and both aerial ability and throwing up 10%, it really is incredible when you think about it."

It's all very well listing a players increasing stats you might say, but does it mean he's going to make the difference when it counts ? Wiser men than me say it's too early to tell. I say this time next year Thiago Martins will be preparing to play in a higher division, and the rest of the Pampilhosa squad should be there playing right in front of him.

Aims for next season :

same as last year, challenge for promotion

SV Waldhof Mannheim - German Third Division - Season 2012/13

Season Preview

So as the transfer window shuts it's time to wrap up a hectic pre-season full of comings and goings at the Carl-Benz Stadion as i look to build a squad capable of a minimal of survival. time to introduce the new 'Buben Boys'

Transfers

Goalkeepers

30. Niclas Heimann - Young German goalkeeper with promise, Niclas will start the season as my No. 1. it's up to him to keep the jersey

31. Marco Aulbach - Marco is a promising keeper who will provide back up to Heimann.

Full Backs

Nico Postic - young German signed for his nationality as much as anything although he does have promise. will be a back up player

Rick Poot - Promising Belgian LB who will also be a back up player at the start of the season.

Centre Backs

6. Wouter Gudde - Dutch defender signed for free from Excelsior. Excited the fans when he signed, he has been given the captain's armband for this season. good player.

15. Ulrich Taffertshofer - YOung German defender who will provide back up.

16. Mitja Schafer - good defender who can play either CB or LB. will push for a starting berth

Lasse Lindbjerg - Lasse is a young Dane who did well on trial and earned a contract as a result.

Midfielders

8. Michael Mutzel - Michael was my only cash signing at £20k. will bring experience and quality to the centre of the park.

17. Henning Grieneisen - German winger who did well on trial.

20. Sven Mende - Decent German prospect who adds German youth to the squad. will challenge for a starting spot.

24. Bjorn Schneider - Bjorn is a young German RM who did ok when tested in pre-season.

28. Kevin Kerr - Scot who has been plying his trade in Germany. another to challenge for a shirt.

33. Stefan Sonderegger - Stefan is a young Austrian winger who has plenty of promise. will push for a starting spot.

Christian Sorensen - Another Dane and a deadline day signing. good little left winger

Jang Min-Sun - Belgian / South Korean midfielder signed with the future in mind. will challenge for a shirt though.

Strikers

9. Gaetano Manno - Experienced German striker who adds quality to the front line. have hopes he could be our spearhead in attack.

11. Steven Zellner - Steven is on a seasons loan from Leverkusen and is a good prospect

25. Andreas Tiffner - highly rated Austrian striker who i signed after having him at Marbella.

Gurami Enukidze - Georgian striker signed on deadline day after i discovered him late on in the window. previously at Marseille i like the look of him and hope he can make a contribution.

As you can see plenty of incomings as i strive to increase the quality of the squad. hopefully it will be good enough and we can make a decent challenge in the league.

The league at the halfway point

Pretty pleased overall, lost a couple of games i really felt like i should have won, but never mind. No wins against the Galatasaray, Fenerbahce or Besiktas yet though.

My two best strikers aren't playing well together, which sucks.

Also Finances just before promotion and finances up to now ;)

I'm a bit lost atm, my defense is so bad I've no idea what to do. I think we have good enough players to keep clean sheets, but so far we've conceded 14 in 8 matches. My right-back, Ricardo van Rhijn, who I think look quite good for this level, have been playing below 6.0 in 5 of 6 starts so far. I don't get it. Been using this exact tactic for ages and never seen us be this bad in defense ever. Not sure what to do, guess I'll just stick with it. Mid table atm thanks to scoring 14 aswell, but no way we can fight for promotion if we keep defending like this.

rlipscombe - your captain looks great and so does Mutzel. Rick Poot however, looks horrendous. He needs a face transplant ;)

there's more than one looks like that!! my awful graphics card on the PC for you! brings amusement though. trying to scare the opposition.

Ohanzee - keep going mate. sure you'll manage to turn it around. we can't all fly from the start.

brettney1980 - it is a lot of signings but needed unfortunately. initial squad just wasn't good enough.

Mid-Season Update - Novese - 2013/14 (Season 2) - Serie C2B

I'll let the pictures do the talking and keep it brief. We're playing out of our skins and should gain promotion this year. See below:

LegaProSecondaDivisioneGironeBOverview_Stages-3-1.png

Results

And the star men so far:

Attack:

Giorgio Natale - not playing well really but just look at him. The improvements he has made are just incredible. Need to find a way to getting him dominating games though.

Antonio Montella - top goalscorer and all round excellent poacher.

Sodinha - one of the new signings and a real revelation behind the two strikers. Scores and gets assists.

Defence:

Danilo Fazio - One half of a very solid defence. Another new man that has come in and been rock solid.

Riccardo Tantardini - the other half and still making leaps and bounds as a footballer. They make a very strong spine.

rlipscombe great signings, but did you really give the captain's armband to a guy with 1 for Determination?!?!

Well having broken the previous record for goals in a season of 91 with 8 games remaining, my aim was to crack 100 league goals in a season, which is something I have never done...Well 5 games to go and we have 100 goals, we have both top strikers with over 20 goals, even though they have missed heaps of games, and now Vignali is a week from his return, we may just have a fully fit team for the playoffs. Also got my new youth intake, update to come later...

Good Luck to everyone else, I will have a proper read of the thread and catch myself up tomorrow :)

Afyonkarahisarspor - End of Season 2018/19

Squad | Club Info | Finances

League/Graph (Finished 11th)

Was pleased with the season for the most part, but i felt i could have done better. We conceded a lot of late goals when drawing 1-1, losing us valuable points. 11th is good as i was really expecting to be in the bottom 5 or so.

Turkish Cup: (Lost in 4th Round)

Another bad cup run, my fault once again too as i didn't put out my best team. Lost on penalties.

Transfers

Brought in quite a few foreign players, too many actually as i'm only allowed 8 per squad, so one or two got left out at times. Manuel Heiden was probably the best of the new players. Jean Deza in my opinion was the worst. Luckily not much money was spent.

Overall

Overall a good season, surviving relegation and getting my finances up thanks to money from winning games and from TV. Next season i'd be happy to be in a similar position if i'm honest, but i'm hoping for a better cup run.

Apparently i am now the 6th richest club in Turkey :S
