Didn't get Fergus Bell, but he has terrorised me season after season in lower leagues, constantly top scorer (having signed for Lincoln). When I got into the Championship with FC United, he joined Exeter, who are also a Championship club, and he's still scoring goals! Definitely worth catching him early

I also concur about Jamil Adam. In my first season he notched up 32 league and cup goals. In the Blue Square Prem he notched up another 39 league and cup goals! This is despite disappearing to play the odd U21 match for Ireland. Not sure how he'll get on in League Two. Gillingham are sniffing around him so I may not find out.

I'm midway through November in the first season as Plymouth, and he has already hit 25 goals from 18 appearances. Needless to say, I think he'll be just fine.

After getting promoted to League Two with Woking I ended up having to sell Jamil Adam. He went to Hibs for 400k! Not bad for a freebie!

Very much surprised nobody has mentioned this lad:

Name: Samir El Gaaouiri

Age: 27

Position: AMC/R/L

Ideal Role / Duty: Advanced Playmaker, though I play with classic tactics.

Current club: None

Country: Dutch

Work Permit: None

Transfer: Free transfer in 1st season

Club & League Signed for: Boston United (BSN)

Coaches say he could be a leading star for most League 1 teams. On a paltry 275 per week, too. Would be a fantastic trequartista type, and can also play on the wings.

You'll possibly need the Dutch leagues loaded, though.

Best player ive ever signed for a lower league squad in any football manager. Found in a game with 220,000 players loaded so not sure how easy he will be to find if at all for small databases

Juan Scatoni -GK Uruguay

Sebastian Masoni - RB Uruguay

Sebastian Galan - LB Uruguay

Armand N'Djama - CB Cameroon

Sebastian Sandoval - CB Uruguay

Yannick Boumsong - DM Cameroon

Wilfried Ntede Ndjomo - CB/DM Cameroon

Masimbuku Luyingu - DM 37 Years Old Cameroon

Muscal Mvuezolo - AMR DR Congo

Mariano Rubbo - AMR Uruguay

Sebastian Buniva - AML Argentina

Enzo Scorza - ST Uruguay

Ricardo Varela - ST Uruguay

Claudio Zanchetta - ST Uruguay

The only problem is they may get confused with all the Sebastian's :)

Started at Tonbridge last night, won every game convincingly in pre-season and won 4 out of 5 in the league so far, scoring 17 goals in the process. I strongly recommend Dali Lopez. The Uruguayan forward has hit 6 goals in the last 2 games. The Eritrean Oliver Nicholas is solid at centre-back, and James Cronesberry is possibly the most creative player I've ever had in the 6th tier, terrorizing the opposing right back in every game. Plus, all three of them are still young, ages 22, 19 and 20 respectively. I'm sure they'll sign for more or less any team in the 6th tier, and for me they are must-haves.

Just started a game with Chelmsford. I managed to get Rigobert Song for £30,000. That being said, he's my entire budget for the year and at 35 years old, he's no spring chicken.

Still he's a DC, DM, CM. Covers a nice amount of positions in my god awful team. Some solid stats, is obviously going to last me a season or two which should get me into the League 2.

This maybe clutching at straws but i hope and believe he'll also become a good coach.

Cronesberry is injured for 8 months, brilliant... I need another left winger, bought in Rezzah Sullimann but he sustained a minor injury keeping him out for a month. Does anyone have any ideas as to who I could sign? I have players from Reunion, Curacao, Uruguay, Croatia and Cameroon loaded on top of a large database.

I've got Adam and Casalinuovo up front and they're ridiculous, Adam has 8 in 11 as poacher and Casalinuovo 18 in 11 as supporting target man. I'm playing as Wrexham in the BSP and they're unreal for me. On loan Alex Henshall from Man City on the left wing has 1 goal and 9 assists in 10 games and Liam Tomsett (on loan from Blackpool) as AMC has 3 goals and 7 assists from 8 starts and 1 sub.

Ideal Role/Duty: Advanced Forward

Current Club: No club

Country: England

Work Permit: No

Club & League Signed For: AFC Wimbledon, League 2

Beat me too it. Apart from I signed him in BSP, an absolute beast scores nearly goal a game. Class player, think I may struggle to hold onto him though he is attracting a lot of interest from bigger teams :(

EDIT: Also can anyone recommend a good DM that will play well as a deep lying playmaker. Need that Sergio Busquets type player. Kettering in BSP but could do with a player who will cut it in League 2 as I am pushing for promotion. Free if possible but can probably spend about 5k

Any good free signings in second season. Just gone up to L2 looking for a RB & RW mainly but i'll take any suggestions for any positions.

Cheers Guys

In my game Man City released Ahmad Benali at the end of season 1. He's a quality AMC. The only problem is that he disappears for the odd international game with Libya!

I also signed (probably mis-spelt) Kudus Oyenuga after Spurs released him. He's been an excellent target man for me.

Ryan Tunnicliffe released by Man Utd was also good. This might have been at the end of season 2 though.

I don't play with wingers I'm afraid. However, I had Javan Vidal (released by Man City but not sure when) at right back. He was excellent for me.

Nationality: English

Work permit needed: No

Transfer Fee: No

Will sign for: Just about anyone

Signed him on a free for my Canvey Island side (newly promoted into Blue Square South) in 2012/13 season. Best decision I've ever made on FM. Wages are a bit steep at £600 p/week or so, but he is just incredible at this level - see below for proof:

Don't let his poor technical attributes fool you. He's a beast, he's the Ivica Olic of lower leagues.

So, having started my first save, post-data update, I thought I'd have a look at who I could get to Altrincham in the BSN.

Needless to say, there's the usual plethora of players based in Réunion who'll all sign for between €50 to €100 p/w on free transfers from their clubs, due to having amateur contracts. Rather than list each of the individual players with a screen shot and details though (lazy, I know ;) ), here's my initial list of signings... all from Réunion.

RunionSignings.png

All well worth signing, even if they won't be first choice players. With enough games though, not only are they superb quality for this level of football, the younger of the players will quickly rise in value. Good "investment" potential to help the perpetually bad budgets of lower league clubs.

I'm now wading through lists of other players I can sign for free and bobbins wages :)

The Segunda B divisions in Spain are quite a good challenge. Reason being is that I'd say the jumps in quality between Segunda B > Segunda > Primera, are perhaps like taking a team and jumping them from BSP or BSN/BSS > League 1 or Championship > Premier League, when comparing England to Spain. You'll need to improve your squad a lot with each promotion. The biggest difficulty though, will be a smaller fan base at many clubs, compared to their English counterparts. There are clubs like Oviedo or Cádiz that enjoy good support though.

With the sort of quality of players you can find in this thread though, you should be able to challenge for one of the Segunda B divisions, if they're used well tactically.

I often find it easier playing in England, Germany, France or Italy. Mainly because the jump between divisions and gulf in quality isn't as big as it possibly is in Spain.

As for the other countries, German Third Division might be quite a stiff challenge, as there's players there with even mid to lower table clubs, on a par or better, compared some of those in this thread. French National and CFA would be quite a close match, along with the Italian Serie C2 divisions.

Elsewhere, you could try the Portuguese Second Division North/Central/South, Belgian Third Division A/B, Danish Second Division East/West, Swedish First Division North/South, Norwegian Second Division groups, or even venture to lower divisions in some of the smaller Eastern European countries.

Cheers Heath hoped you'd answer me your lower league thread helped me so much last year still using alot of it this year. So you think your list of reunion players you posted a few posts ago could cut it in itailian C2 and French nationals as love using some of those players.
