hopper212
Hey guys, just a quick question, is it possible in Football Manager 2011 to start a game with all players out of contract? So it would be a free for all game with everybody attempting to sign all the best players, I remember this being possible in an old Football Manager and it always made Network Games exciting, I cannot remember how this was done though, and also am not sure how I would go about doing this in FM2011, any help would be greatly appreciated! Foss
I'm the author of the aforementioned file. I'm currently working on a 11.3 version for it, so be on the look out for it.
senorcoo
One problem. I tried to start a game with Stockport and they only have a wage budget of $130K per year. Basically, it allows me to sign 1 player and then my wages are maxed out. What gives?
Foss
Simple; I haven't edited any wage budgets, keeping it true to the purpose of the database. A wage budget of 130,000 should be enough for you to sign a decent amount of players anyway.
senorcoo
Uh, not really. $130k can get me ONE good player. That wage budget is for the year.
Foss
As I said, I haven't edited any of the budgets. Besides, what do you mean with a 'good' player? Stockport is a League Two team after all, don't expect your wage budget to support players who demand huge wages.
senorcoo
Well, I know that their wage budget in the regular game isn't $130k for the year.
Clearyg
I started a game with Celtic and get a weekly wage budget of 14k with 5million spending budget. have adjusted budgets to give me a total of 25k a week to spend on wages. not going to get me very far. Foss
As I said, I haven't touched the wage budgets. It's not the point of the database, so you can't really complain about it.
senorcoo
How can one make it actually playable?
Jolanthustrel
If there are no players currently at the club, then it messes with the wage budget for the club, it's not an issue with the edited file, but the game itself. You'll fine that all the clubs are like that.
Foss
How can one make it actually playable? Figure it out yourself.
