Very impressed by him mate. Has scored 19 goals in 13 matches. averaging a 8.31 :) never misses in front of goal . absolute beast ...I also love his high work rate and stamina... he's currently injured for 4-5 weeks :( well i have Van Persie as backup :))

tough decision mate, aguero is more technical guifted and runs more with the ball, while i find Cavani to be more clinical in front of goal , and a more complete striker . That's why i'd personally choose cavani over aguero. i think it depends on what you want from a striker, aswell.

@ Barkermush, many thanks for your tweaked version! I've added cut inside to my wingers and so far so good. After a poor start with Lpool i've gone on a great run and just need to win at the Hawthornes on match day 38 to guarantee CL footy for 2nd season. I've generally been competing for trophies in my first season but it all went wrong hence my looking for assistance with my tactics.

Interesting that I used this as 1st season Shrewsbury and managed to just about lose 2-1 in extra time against portsmouth. Their goal before 90 minutes was also a penalty. Even the lower leagues this tactic is very effective, however it faces the simple problem of if you don't have the players their to defend you'll concede too much and your not gonna push enough for that extra goal when you really need it. All in all though it is very effective.

@kubis70..i watched it..nice stuff..a couple of things r hard to do in the game..for ex;the dcs going wide when with the ball.and the constant position swapping..i wish we could swap positions of mcr and mcl without swapping their roles..did i make sense with that?i mean i wish they could swap positions without swapping roles.that way man marking the playmaker would be harder..

another thing is the busquets role where he drops inbetween the cbs..hard to implement..

anyways the tac. is as good as the game let's it be i guess..

i agree with you. but what if you pulled the mc in to anchor role and put move into channels on dc??

i know this question is asked many times but just make a conclusion once again because the topic is huge...:)

whats the best version, for mid table teams in England or Spain to overachive in the league or Europe, OR in top teams in Portugal Greek Scotland etc to seek success in Europe???

I'd say Barkermush's version, won me the title with Newcastle in my first season.

well i tried to pull him to anchorman like u said. .and put him mentality all the way down. .still not like in real life and since the dcs dont give width now we have three useless players for att.

i thought just now about giving the dcs hug touchline order but made me laugh as i'm writing it down.as stupid as it is i'll try it just to c what will happen...

I still have them swap anyway, the only real difference between the two is mentality and having Xavi with 3+ clicks of mentality every now and then is fine by me.

i'm gonna have to admit at this point for the last 7-8 games i've converted the tac. into a flat 4-4-2 just to c how the two striker would do and if i would be able to keep poss. as well..surprisingly good so far.

i know i feel like a betrayer here :o

it does seem daft, but it might just work but i dont want to be the guinea pig :D

hi,mate.i couldn't possibly say "created" it.but it's been ten games or so and i'm really enjoying it so far..but i must add that i'm yet to play a team like man. u.toughest opp. so far was tottenham home.a comfortable 3-0.

i put the more attacking mc (mcl) as the 2nd for.cut off his roaming and through balls.pulled back the inside fors. back to wide mid. obviously.

made the anchormanlike mc a little more def.

and the pm acts like a true cm.almost an amc in the off and helpsout the def. too.tballs,rwb,for.runs to sometimes.and he roams..

i ticked off the playmaker now.

so i didn't change the original striker instrctns.he sits deeper than the other for.and he is never the same side fo the more att. mc.

a few more little tweaks concerning closing down and what not..not that i'm an expert about it..:p

ahh what else??...i guess that's about it.

so far i love how much more closer to the goal my forwrds get.and the mcs almost make a little diamond with the more creative one sets them up with some nice tballs..

ohh i guess i should stop now for i respect Real Madrid_2007's tic-tac a lot and maybe it's wrong to talk another setup..but after 9 almost perfect seasons with it.i was looking for a more aggressive setup.and will give this one a try throughout this season..all i'm saying is i think it might help with the lack of the lone striker having trouble scoring at times.and the inside forws. wasting some chances due to lack af shooting angle..i'll keep giving it a try..

I have just got mylaptop bac from getting fixed and have been waiting for ages to use the home and away tactics thatare at the startof this thread.The only problem is the 1103 patch wont upload due tu errors reinstalling fm, so i am lumbered with the original patch will this still be a successful tactic? Also is there any problems that i may encounter playing this patch with the game itself? Apologies if im in the wrong thread for this but ive been readingthis thread since my laptop broke and am dying to get stsrted. Thanks in advance
