Top-shelf stuff. Great if you could include a few details of the signings they're making, I'm very curious how the AI handles big money/efforts to upgrade the team. Seen it make some odd choices after I've left rich clubs in the past.

If only some brave soul would do some similar controlled test regarding tactics! But that would probably take even more work.

One thing id like to know is the value of the players now they are more well know and higher up the leagues/playing for national side - have they shot up much in the few years so far?

Also, you said at the beginning that all of the super players had injury proneness of '1', but a few of the players seem to be suffering from lots of injurys. Can you confirm if any of the players have had lots of injuries, or multiples of the same injuries, or am I mistaken?

A screenshot of his shortlist or something like that should be a quick way of doing it - save him having to type it all out for us icon_biggrin.gif

Good thinking. Would also show current clubs and stats for the season.

Now that is long term thinking.

Although with my team I'm using for Bamble Home Nation Challenge, I've got a player coach who's only something like 26.

i added 2 player/coaches to mine aswell, they're around that age. the rest of the team are 17.

Love it that the dirtiest player went on loan to Rangers....didn't he have 'mellowed' stats....it's probably the hateful rallies they hold in the dressing room at that club.

So are some of the players with identical stats behave differently then?

Do they all (the non-dirty ones) have identical stas?

Sorry, updates are on the way. To answer a few questions in the meantime:

It's looking unlikely the Bandits will get their promotion. Looked good in season three as their one remaining starlet, the keeper, propelled them to top spot. They sold him in January and didn't even make the playoffs.

All the players started with identical stats, except the dirty players and the good players had reversed mental stats. So the difference in behaviour, as has been indicated already, could be anything from man management ability of the managers to the player relationships and harmony at the clubs.

I'll post a screenshot with each new update showing my shortlist summary. One striker is now worth 31m (after three seasons).

League

FA Cup: 4th Qualifying Round

FA Trophy: 1st Round

Pre-season, the Bandits lost their last remaining outfield starlet, so were left with just one keeper and a whole bunch of new players. They only actually spent 1k all season, so definitely aren’t making the most of their fortunes.

The league was going superbly for quite a while, they rose to top spot in the New Year and with only six games remaining they were still holding a promotion spot in 2nd. However, in January they sold their last starlet, Goalkeeper 1, and couldn’t sustain their form without him, failing to win any of those last games and falling not only out of the promotion zone, but out of the playoffs entirely, down in 7th.

As for the cups, they were a little unfortunate – Torquay, as a strong non-league side, knocked them out of both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy before they got going.

The club now has its work cut out – they still have an average attendance of 90000, so they’re raking in the money, but aren’t spending anything on new players and need to if they’re to start moving up the league. They may also need to bring in a better manager, which may happen as expectations rise.

Overall, a promising season turned into a poor one.

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 180: Apps 48, Gls 7, Asts 1, MoM 1, YC 4, RC 2, Avg 6.73

Notes: Man Utd make a massive profit on the youngster after just one season at Old Trafford, and he goes on to have a poor personal season despite starting most games. Two red cards add to the frustration, but has more luck in internationals, taking his tally to nine caps with one goal. Wins Premiership medal.

Notes: Comes back from summer broken leg superbly to take Portsmouth to the Championship playoffs, but they lose in the final to Sunderland. Will Portsmouth be able to hang on to the star, given their absence from the Premiership, a fact which is preventing the player moving beyond the U21 international scene?

Notes: Chelsea’s three man midfield again prevents the kid playing very much, and as his performance level drops he falls out of international contention. Still picks up a Premiership medal.

Right Mid 2

2006-07, Bandits, CA 150: Apps 40 (1), Gls 9, Asts 8, MoM 3, YC 5, RC 0, Avg 7.49

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 179: Apps 8 (13), Gls 4, Asts 2, MoM 0, YC 2, RC 0, Avg 6.67

Notes: Another victim of Chelsea’s insistence on playing three central midfielders in a 5-3-2 when they have three of the best wide men in the world. Does not appear enough in the league to win a medal.

2008-09, Man Utd, CA 173: Apps 10 (9), Gls 3, Asts 0, MoM 0, YC 1, RC 0, Avg 6.53

Notes: Another poor season for the youngster, who will be looking to play more.

2008-09, Man Utd, CA 180: Apps 33 (5), Gls 5, Asts 5, MoM 2, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 6.82

Notes: Makes a big money move to Old Trafford and instantly displaces Centre Mid 1, but goes on to have a poor season, and doesn’t add to his solitary cap.

Centre Mid 3

2006-07, Bandits, CA 150: Apps 40 (1), Gls 2, Asts 6, MoM 1, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.41

2008-09, Man Utd, CA 180: Apps 41 (2), Gls 8, Asts 6, MoM 2, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.00

Notes: Finally leaves for the Premiership and adds to the group of talented central midfielders at Man Utd. Reforms his partnership with Centre Mid 2, and achieves his first two England caps.

Centre Mid 4

2006-07, Bandits, CA 152: Apps 54 (1), Gls 4, Asts 3, MoM 1, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.53

Transfers to Chelsea for 1.4m

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 176: Apps 20 (10), Gls 3, Asts 7, MoM 0, YC 3, RC 0, Avg 6.73

Notes: Another poor personal season still leads to another Premiership medal.

Striker 1

2006-07, Bandits, CA 150: Apps 3 (32), Gls 7, Asts 0, MoM 2, YC 3, RC 0, Avg 6.91

Transfers to Chelsea on a free

2007-08, Chelsea, CA 165: Apps 36 (4), Gls 21, Asts 1, MoM 3, YC 5, RC 1, Avg 7.28

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 179: Apps 23 (9), Gls 18, Asts 2, MoM 4, YC 4, RC 1, Avg 7.31

Notes: Now an international star with seven goals in his six internationals, he has another excellent season up front for Chelsea, scoring bucketfuls. The only surprise is that he didn’t play more, but he played enough to claim his second Premiership medal.

Striker 2

2006-07, Bandits, CA 151: Apps 55, Gls 37, Asts 3, MoM 6, YC 5, RC 0, Avg 8.11

Transfers to Chelsea for 100k

2007-08, Chelsea, CA 165: Apps 26 (7), Gls 20, Asts 0, MoM 3, YC 1, RC 0, Avg 7.15

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 179: Apps 22, Gls 13, Asts 2, MoM 3, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 7.55

Notes: Again, the Chelsea rotation policy takes it’s toll, but still a fantastic season, beginning with a first cap for England against Montenegro, and ending with another Premiership medal.

Striker 3

2006-07, Bandits, CA 150: Apps 1 (25), Gls 2, Asts 0, MoM 0, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 6.58

Transfers to Chelsea on a free

Loaned to Sheff Utd

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 181: Apps 26 (5), Gls 17, Asts 2, MoM 3, YC 3, RC 0, Avg 7.29

Notes: Wins first two England caps, scoring once, and claiming a league medal.

Striker 4

2006-07, Bandits, CA 150: Apps 55 (2), Gls 31, Asts 2, MoM 5, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.91

2007-08, Bandits, CA 166: Apps 2, Gls 4, Asts 0, MoM 2, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 9.00

Transfers to Liverpool on a free

2007-08, Liverpool, CA 166: Apps 46 (1), Gls 23, Asts 4, MoM 5, YC 3, RC 1, Avg 7.34

2008-09, Liverpool, CA 180: Apps 52, Gls 26, Asts 0, MoM 6, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.52

Notes: Having nearly won the title the previous season, had a personally fantastic campaign as he set to put things right. But this wasn’t matches by the rest of the team, as Liverpool finished down in 10th. Rapidly becoming an international star, with ten goals in ten games.

Bad player reports

2008-09, Fiorentina, CA 177: Apps 34, Gls 5, Asts 5, MoM 3, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 7.56

Notes: Joins Fiorentina after just one more game in London, but despite an excellent domestic season, they are dumped out of the Champions League group stage without winning a game. Doesn’t complain or get sent off all season, which is something of a double miracle.

Has been rewarded with ten caps, scoring one goal.

Idiot B

2006-07, Newcastle, CA 150: Apps 46, Gls 1, Asts 7, MoM 1, YC 5, RC 3, Avg 7.30

Transfers to West Ham for 11.5m

2007-08, West Ham, CA 165: Apps 40, Gls 5, Asts 3, MoM 2, YC 6, RC 0, Avg 7.13

2008-09, West Ham, CA 165: Apps 42, Gls 2, Asts 3, MoM 2, YC 3, RC 2, Avg 7.29

Notes: Once again, he proved himself to be the bigger of the two morons. Had a reasonable season personally, but for the first time an idiot’s team has an excellent season, finishing third and qualifying for the Champions League.

However, around Christmas, the man complained about personal problems and his performances dipped. He was shortly afterwards fined by skipping training, and is showing serious signs of discontent after two seasons at Upton Park, and is transfer listed by request.

Now has three caps to his name, but the same old attitude.

Other stats

England are top of their easy World Cup qualifying group, and with the youngsters maturing should be a force over the next decade.

The Premiership went to Chelsea again, with West Ham the surprise package and Liverpool disappointing.

Premiership

Arsenal won the domestic cup double, Milan beat UEFA Cup champions Steaua in the Champions League final, while Juventus took the UEFA Cup.

Summary

The Bandits are not doing too well now, and with the expectation level rising all the time they may struggle next season. They ended the season abysmally without a good keeper, and now need to recruit quickly. They still have plenty of money and a stunning youth academy so are still equipped for the promotion challenge, but the manager doesn’t have much talent and that may begin to show through.

The real test of the big fish in the lower leagues now starts. Where will the Bandits be in ten years time? Will they be a league club or will they languish precisely where they are now, in mediocrity?

As for the players, it’s up and down news. Both Right Mids and one Left Mid are at Chelsea, but they play a 5-3-2 formation with three central midfielders. They regularly play Left Mid 1 on the left side of this three, but out of position he plays poorly, and Lampard and Essien take the other two spots. As the two Right Mids look to play first team football, will even their loyalty be tested? It’s certainly not the best place for them.

Some of the Centre Mids aren’t playing well either, especially those at Man Utd. It’s a mystery as to why, I might examine a few of their matches to try to figure it out. They have all the talent in the world and are adept at DM, CM and AM, so it’s not a positional problem as at Chelsea. Maybe they just aren’t clicking.

The strikers can be a different prospect though. Three are at Chelsea, and being rotated – all scoring goals but none playing every game. The fourth is at Liverpool and appears to be the most successful so far both at domestic and international level, but Liverpool’s woeful defending left them down in 10th place. Fortunately for them, they reached the FA Cup final, and despite being beaten by Arsenal, because of the victors qualifying for the Champions League they still reach the UEFA Cup. But will that be enough for the starlet?

Speaking of potential ambition, Left Mid 2 has now spent two seasons at Portsmouth, and despite playing very well, they got relegated in the first season and didn’t bounce back up this season – surely the Premiership will come calling?

Final point on the good players – although they are excellent at discipline, two let it slip in the League Cup final. Arsenal beat Chelsea, after both Left Mid 1 and Striker 1 had been sent off for the Premiership Champions.

So, on to the idiots. Idiot A seems to be behaving himself very well. He’s now become the first player to move abroad, and it’ll be interesting to see how he copes in Italy. After one season, he has picked up basic Italian. Interestingly, Tottenham seem more settled without them – they rose to sixth this season.

Idiot B is a whole different kettle of fish. He’s had personal problems, he’s missed training, he’s still picking up red cards, yet despite that, he’s still at West Ham, and they finished a fantastic third this season. Yet he still wants to leave. His attitude seems to be holding him back at international level, not appearing anything like as regularly as Idiot A.

On to season 4…..

After three seasons, the Bandits squad looks like this:

General

Stats

As you can see, there’s nothing special there, and no first team regular playing particularly well. They need to change that, and quickly, if they want to challenge next season.

My shortlist of 24 players looks like this:

Shortlist

There are a few low wages for the values, Striker 3 especially will surely expect more than 925 a week given his value is now over 20m.

With Chelsea having nine of the stars now, you would expect them to waltz away with the league. But their formation doesn’t suit the midfielders at all, and they only won the league by two points last season, on the last day. Can they get their act together?

As for the idiots, there’s arguments for an against them. Spurs did better without their idiot, but West Ham shone this season despite Idiot B’s continued protestations and problems. What’s next?

So, any more predictions from anyone, leading into season 4? What do you expect now? How will the Bandits do? Who will move? Will more players move abroad as reputation rises? Will England be unstoppable?

Answers on a postcard…..

Yeah I find that interesting as well - on two levels really

1) How could they not manage to produce contracts good enough to keep their decent players

2) Why don't they sign anybody good enough to promote them.

My money like you said is either on the low reputation (everybody will know from LLM games that rep can be a nightmare when signing people from higher division) or the useless manager. Would be interesting to re-run it at a later date with Ferguson/Capello/Perfect Manager 1 in charge.

Sorry if I've missed it but seeing their finances would be interesting.

2nd Round of predictions....

1. Chelsea to get beaten to the Premiership title as the formation implodes.

2. Spurs to improve again on 6th without Idiot A.

3. West Ham to plummett into free-fall after 1 season of success.

4. Idiot B to move abroad. Possibly to Spain.

5. Boro to be relegated next season.

6. Elding to score 15 plus goals for Bandits.

7. The Bandits to fail even to make the playoffs.

Any chance of some profike pics of the 2 idiots please.

What are the Fred's like that are coming through at the Bandits?

Only 3 players have managed to break the CA180 mark too.

What are the odds that Chelsea will be made up of at least a team worth before the end of season 4?? icon_biggrin.gif

The idiots are doing OK for themselves money wise too - maybe that's where I'm going wrong! lol

Oh yeah, almost forgot.

has editing posts always been prohibited? It does get quite annoying at times.

Anyways, great thread kipfizh. I predict:

1. West Ham will not let Idiot B go, and remain a top team

2. Chelsea to buy yet more of the original Bandit players

3. Bandits will plummet after failing to use their money

4. (and to break the trend) England will win in the final on penalties!

Is that CA correct? He didnt improve at all? I have been very surprised at how fast these players have been improving but he didnt improve at all through the whole season.

One thing I'm a bit concerned about is the lack of spread of the young talent, too many of them are already in the very top teams. That Chelsea picked up 9 of them doesn't feel right.

Even considering how "unrealistically" good they all are, they should be at more different clubs.

Could it have to do with scouts at "smaller" big clubs like Villa, Charlton, Fulham, Middlesbr. etc, aren good enough to find them, or are the players only willing to join the very elite?

I don't think the top teams should be that good at evaluating players in the Conference. They should need a season or two in League 1 or 2 in between, (even under these extreme circumstances).

To answer a couple of other points - sorry, Idiot B did improve his CA, error on my part.

The Fred's coming through at the Bandits are pretty tame. They get quite a few of them due to their academy but they're yet to discover a star as far as I can see. In time they may be a gem or too, and that could be all it takes to help their push up the divisions.

I'll see how many predictions come true, season 4 probably arriving tonight.

I would have to agree with denniswinchester that I am a little disappointed with the clubs the bandits players have gone to. It seems that the English clubs with the biggest transfer budgets seem to buy the players. With some players available for next to nothing you would expect them to go to a vast array of clubs. Also its seems a little strange that most of the players left between season 1 and 2.

League

FA Cup: 4th Qualifying Round

FA Trophy: 3rd Round

The Bandits had their first full season without any of the starlets and dropped down a couple of places in the league to 9th. Curiously, they had the exact same wins, draws and losses as the previous year, but again it wasn’t good enough to challenge for promotion.

In the cups, a hammering in the final qualifying round of the FA Cup at the hands of Scarborough was a low point, but then after a 9-8 penalty win in the Trophy 2nd round, they suffered the indignity of a 2-1 reverse at lowly Brigg Town in the next round.

As for players, they did actually spend 31k on new talent, a small amount on Simon Wiles, who did okay in midfield, and 30k on Sam Liversidge, who did pretty well on the left side. These players might progress into something. The players coming through the youth setup achieved very little.

The Bandits now seem stuck in a rut. They have a lack of star talent, with no-one seeming like they’ll take them forward, a manager who doesn’t appear to have the ambition to take the club into the league, and a chairman who hasn’t questioned him. But with the media predictions rising, sooner or later they’ll have to act.

Notes: As predicted, leaves Championship Portsmouth to join Man Utd in the summer, and goes on to have a terrific season, winning the FA Cup, and reaching the Champions League final. Premiership football gives him the opportunity to shine, and he breaks into the international setup, playing five and scoring three. Without him, Portsmouth don’t get near promotion. 2006-07, Bandits, CA 151: Apps 55, Gls 37, Asts 3, MoM 6, YC 5, RC 0, Avg 8.11

Transfers to Chelsea for 100k

2007-08, Chelsea, CA 165: Apps 26 (7), Gls 20, Asts 0, MoM 3, YC 1, RC 0, Avg 7.15

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 179: Apps 22, Gls 13, Asts 2, MoM 3, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 7.55

2009-10, Chelsea, CA 184: Apps 52 (1), Gls 31, Asts 3, MoM 9, YC 3, RC 1, Avg 7.89

Notes: A truly stunning season for one of the few players who forced their way into the Chelsea first team and refused to budge. Ended the season as Premiership top rated player and top scorer, but with no trophies as Chelsea fall to a distant fourth. Completes an excellent season with four more caps, taking his total to five, with three goals.

Striker 3

Loaned to Sheff Utd

2007-08, Sheff Utd, CA 165: Apps 30, Gls 20, Asts 3, MoM 8, YC 2, RC 0, Avg 7.77

2008-09, Chelsea, CA 181: Apps 26 (5), Gls 17, Asts 2, MoM 3, YC 3, RC 0, Avg 7.29

2009-10, Chelsea, CA 185: Apps 28 (8), Gls 17, Asts 2, MoM 3, YC 5, RC 1, Avg 7.61

Notes: With Striker 2 first choice, Strikers 1 and 3 had to be content with fighting to be the partner. Whenever he played, he did superbly well, and with this talent on display, it’s amazing that Chelsea didn’t do better. Now has five caps and three goals.

Striker 4

2006-07, Bandits, CA 150: Apps 55 (2), Gls 31, Asts 2, MoM 5, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.91

2007-08, Bandits, CA 166: Apps 2, Gls 4, Asts 0, MoM 2, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 9.00

Transfers to Liverpool on a free

2007-08, Liverpool, CA 166: Apps 46 (1), Gls 23, Asts 4, MoM 5, YC 3, RC 1, Avg 7.34

2008-09, Liverpool, CA 180: Apps 52, Gls 26, Asts 0, MoM 6, YC 4, RC 0, Avg 7.52

2009-10, Liverpool, CA 190: Apps 45, Gls 25, Asts 1, MoM 11, YC 6, RC 0, Avg 7.87

Notes: An integral part of the Liverpool resurgence, as they storm away to finish second in the league after last year’s disappointment. Will be crucial in the summer World Cup as his international record is now a tremendous sixteen goals in seventeen games.

Bad player reports

Idiot A

2006-07, Tottenham, CA 150: Apps 47, Gls 8, Asts 8, MoM 7, YC 4, RC 2, Avg 7.34

2007-08, Tottenham, CA 165: Apps 39, Gls 3, Asts 6, MoM 2, YC 9, RC 1, Avg 7.21

2008-09, Tottenham, CA 177: Apps 1, Gls 0, Asts 0, MoM 0, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 7.00

Transfers to Fiorentina for 13.25m

2008-09, Fiorentina, CA 177: Apps 34, Gls 5, Asts 5, MoM 3, YC 0, RC 0, Avg 7.56

2009-10, Fiorentina, CA 184: Apps 37, Gls 6, Asts 6, MoM 2, YC 5, RC 4, Avg 7.41

Notes: After last season’s immaculate behaviour, Idiot A somewhat let it slip this season, with a whole host of cards, including four reds.

Played very well again, but will the emergence of the ex-Bandits youth on the international scene, he added just one cap to his previous total of ten, and did not add to his one goal.

West Ham, Wigan and Villareal are all interested in moving him on, and he’s been somewhat unsettled this season, unsure whether Fiorentina would earn him any trophies. They weren’t even in the Champions League this season, getting knocked out of the UEFA Cup in the second knockout round by the resurgent Liverpool.

Has still been behaving himself very well over in Italy, but his mental stats remain unchanged. Once an idiot, always an idiot.

Idiot B

2006-07, Newcastle, CA 150: Apps 46, Gls 1, Asts 7, MoM 1, YC 5, RC 3, Avg 7.30

Transfers to West Ham for 11.5m

2007-08, West Ham, CA 165: Apps 40, Gls 5, Asts 3, MoM 2, YC 6, RC 0, Avg 7.13

2008-09, West Ham, CA 177: Apps 42, Gls 2, Asts 3, MoM 2, YC 3, RC 2, Avg 7.29

2009-10, West Ham, CA 185: Apps 49, Gls 3, Asts 7, MoM 6, YC 2, RC 0, Avg 7.35

Notes: Idiot B continues to cause trouble at West Ham, demanding to leave on a regular basis without actually getting round to it. Is still determined to move to a bigger club as soon as possible, but he’s been saying that all his career now and has actually spent three seasons with one club.

Played pretty well this season without setting the Premiership alight – West Ham followed up last season’s excellent third place finish with another good slot in sixth, but their Champions League campaign ended in the group stage after unfortunately being drawn alongside Juventus and Real Madrid. Reached the FA Cup final.

Marcello Lippi was doing a good job of keeping him in check but has now left for sunnier climates in Valencia, and Paul Le Guen has taken over – can he maintain control?

Now has six caps.

Other stats

England scorched to the World Cup in an admittedly easy group, but they won ten out of ten, scoring 29 goals and not conceding once. They now face South Korea, Switzerland and Tunisia, after the friendliest World Cup draw they could ever have hoped for.

The Premiership went to the Emirates this time around, and the disappointing teams were Chelsea, who finished a distant fourth and only sneaked into the Champions League, and Man Utd, who faded to 7th.

Premiership

Man Utd claimed the FA Cup, Liverpool the League Cup, Milan beat Man Utd on penalties in the Champions League final, and Bayern Munich pipped Olympiakos to the UEFA Cup.

Summary

New on the Bandits is up and down. They’re consistently in the top half of the Conference even though they’ve now lost all 22 stars, so at least the rest of their squad is okay. The age of their best players are all very low, which is encouraging, and many of the first team players came out of the youth academy. Continue that, with a few stars, and they’ll start rising up the divisions.

On the flip side, they seem reluctant to spend money, have an unambitious manager who on top of his lack of signings plays a very dull form of football. The Bandits have never scored more than four in a game, in four years, and at times with some truly stunning players. How?

So what will happen to them now? Will the young players improve and take them up? Or will they get no better and merely challenge for a playoff place? Can they even qualify for the FA Cup proper any more? Will the media expectation for once outweigh the reality, and if so, how quick on the trigger is the chairman?

The Chelsea phenomenon. They now have star players at RB, CB, CB, LM, RM, RM, CM, ST, ST, ST. With Cech, Terry, Lampard and Essien available to fill in the gaps, what else do they need? By rights, this team should annihilate everything in its path. Yet they finished fourth, and only sneaked a Champions League place because Leeds bottled their match on the final day.

So what now? How itchy is Abramovich’s trigger finger? Is Mourinho a marked man? Will the wide midfielders get fed up and leave? Or is this season a blip and next year they’ll fly again?

Over to Old Trafford. They have four of the stars, and unlike Chelsea they’ve managed to get all four performing consistently well. Only trouble is, the rest of the team are failing badly. They only came 7th this season after a dramatic fall from grace.

Is the Old Trafford era over? Can the youngsters force the team back up the league, or can the older fading stars not be replaced?

What a move Left Mid 2 made. This time last year he was in a Championship side. One move later, and he’s in the World Player of the Year reckoning. Nice one.

Idiot time. Again, Idiot A keeps relatively quiet. Maybe it’s because he’s over in Italy, so we can’t hear him anymore, but only a couple of transfer requests came out. Incredible. He’s becoming a dirty little hacker though, with four red cards.

But, he has fallen out of international favour. Will he return to the Premiership to fight for his place?

Idiot B has now been at one club for three years – amazing! He’s still not happy though, but no surprise there, and despite West Ham maintaining their good record, he’s after loftier heights. Shame he hates all the bigger clubs.

World Cup summer…….

Will England have a penalty shoot out? Will they win the cup?

Last season’s summer questions answered

Q: Will the Bandits challenge for promotion?

A: Not this season.

Q: Will Chelsea start making use of their wide players?

A: No, and it certainly cost them.

Q: Will Chelsea’s wide players get unsettled?

A: No, but then they’re young and loyal.

Q: Will Left Mid 2 leave the Championship?

A: Spectacularly, becoming a star at domestic and international level, and coming third in World Player of the Year.

Q: Will Man Utd’s Centre Mids start playing well?

A: Yes – last season seemed to be a blip.

Q: Will the biggest star, Striker 4, be happy if Liverpool continue to flop?

A: Simple answer – he made sure they didn’t.

Q: Will Spurs continue to shine without their Idiot?

A: No, they fell back down to 12th.

Q: Will Idiot B ever play international football again?

A: A bit, but he’s not a vital player anymore.

General

Stats

The best players are young now, so maybe they’ll be pushing over the next few years. We’ll see.

My shortlist of 24 players now looks like this:

Shortlist

Key questions for this season:

Will Chelsea recover to win the Premiership?

Will Man Utd be back in contention?

Will Chelsea have even more than ten starlets by this time next year?

Will the Idiots move?

Will England win the World Cup?

Will any player win a personal award of major note?
