What does normal in wide play terms mean?

Recommended Posts

He will do cut inside when the opportunity is there or dribble down the flanks or run into the channels to receive the ball in the final third. Very good when you have space in the middle to exploit and at the same time, he will give you width in your attack too.

Cut inside is good if you have a full back on his same flank who makes forward run. If not, there will be no width in your attack.

Hug touch line is good if you prefer playing route 1 football.
