Metal_Guitarist's Football Manager 2011 11.2 Database Update

Its the process of how they do it which takes time. The research team dont use the same editor as us. Each researcher has his own individual file which they update for their club. So each researcher wont give back their file to SI until the transfer window ends. Then the HR's need to check the files to make sure that any CA/PA's adjusted are actually in line and not way out of balance. Then all of the individual files need merging and adding to the patch. Then the patch as a whole needs to go through testing before it can be released. So basically its the testing of the patch that takes the additional few weeks. If it was purely a data update I would expect it a lot quicker but as its also a bug fix and so on, it requires proper testing before it can be released.

I see, thats understandable really im just itching to start playing again!

Just a bit of info regarding the future transfers version. Due to the limitations of the editor, staff changes e.g. Allardyce leaving Blackburn will be in from the start. This is because you cannot set future transfers for staff. Secondly players who have had 2 loan clubs, e.g. 2 6 month loans will have a full season loan at the 2nd club. Again this is because you cannot set future loans. Examples are Marcus Bent who will be at Sheffield United rather than Wolves and Cameron Stewart who will be at Hull rather than Yeovil

No problem M_G. Thanks for the info. Regarding managers I think thats the best way to do it anyway. Allardyce was in charge in July so he should be in the game. Obviously theres no work round for the loans but i'll take that all day long if it means the future transfers are included.

I know you don't do CA/PA changes, but will you do position changes at all? Only asking because Seamus Coleman needs to be at least accomplished as a right winger, as he's played there all season, and Steven Pienaar needs to made into a natural left winger.

If not, I can easily change it myself, so no worries, anyway, keep up the good work, looking forward to the release.

delete any previous versions of the update. Download the latest one which will come out in hopefully less than an hour. Place it in My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2011/editor data. Start a new game and select the 11.2 database and my update should automatically be loaded. It's in the first post of the thread.

I don't do changes I'm afraid. You'll have to edit it yourself. The reason there is still the old one on the first page is that it hasn't been released yet. Approx a couple of hours til release :)

Soory forgot about time diff live in Australia :-)
