February 10th: Harrogate v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (27/42)

Harrogate got off to the better start as on the 6th minute they grabbed the lead as M.Wood jinked past S.Carl Goatsburg to fire past G.Burgess. On the 23rd minute they had another chance as M.Kowalski slipped and the Harrogate attack intercepted the loose ball but G.Burgess reacted well and saved the effort. Just after the half hour we finally had our first real effort as F.F.Tikle-Wok rose highest to head towards goal from a L.Schnitzel cross but he headed straight into the keepers arms.

Half Time Score 1-0

After giving the players a real rollicking I made a change as G.Bear was replaced by C.Fantu. The second half was alittle better for us and on the 59th minute we had the chance to grab the equaliser as F.F.Tikle-Wok headed wide of post from a Ishu cross. Ten minutes later Harrogate had there next chance with a great effort which was diverted wide of the post by a combination of T.Owens and L.Schnitzel, On the 71st minute I made another change as A.Anymoredohnuts came on for J.Scottlee of Hesselink who had been pretty poor. With time running out we had the chance to grab the equaliser as S.Stoehr tried his luck from 25yards but his effort went wide of the post to cap off a poor game for us

Harrogate 1 M.Wood 6

Hardly Athletic 0

Players: G.Burgess, L.Schnitzel, M.Kowalski, S.Carl Goatsburg, T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, G.Bear (45-C.Fantu), S.Stoehr, F.F.Tikle-Wok, J.Scottlee of Hesselink(71-A.Anymoredohnuts)

Post Match Review: We just weren’t up to the task today as not many of you actually turn up. The Man of the Match Award will be going to L.Schnitzel who was one of a couple of players who turned up. I don’t want another performance like this

February 13th: Hinckley v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (28/42)

An entertaining game for the fans as both my team and the Hinckley team went for it. However it was Hinckley who started the better as they kept hold of the ball a lot better than what we did and on the 34th minute they went into the lead as L.Webb beat S.Carl Goatsburg to the ball and fired in past H.Chaha. A minute later we were two goals down as H.Chaha spilt a long range effort for N.Cartwright to fire past him into the empty net. We weren’t getting much of the ball and on the 43rd minute Hinckley should of made it 3-0 as S.Carl Goatsburg failed to react to a long ball and the loose ball was fired towards goal but B.Arsenal bravely blocked the effort.

Half Time Score 2-0

The second half started with a couple of changes as C.Fantu and F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for G.Bear and A.Anymoredohnuts. Hinckley continued to pressurise my defence and on the 63rd minute a poor tackle by S.Carl Goatsburg saw Hinckley awarded a penalty, A.Hall stepped up for the kick and fired the ball past H.Chaha with ease. On the 67th minute though my team started to wake up and we managed to pull a goal back as D.O’Toole ran onto an A.Marks throughball to fire past the Hinckley keeper. On the 78th minute though we were reduced to ten men after S.Carl Goatsburg capped off a terrible day for himself with a yellow card after fouling again in the area, A.Hall stepped up for the Hinckley penalty but this time H.Chaha guessed right and saved the kick with ease. Two minutes after the saved we pulled another goal back as A.Marks fired in a wonderful freekick from the edge of the area after he was brought down on his way towards goal. With seven minutes remaining we somehow managed to pull back to level terms as T.Owens scrambled in the equaliser after the Hinckley keeper fluffed a S.Stoehr corner.

Hinckley 3 Webb 34, N.Cartwright 35, A.Hall 63 pen

Hardly Athletic 3 D.O’Toole 67, A.Marks 80, T.Owens 83

Players: H.Chaha, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, S.Carl Goatsburg, T.Owens, Ishu, A.Marks, G.Bear (45-C.Fantu), S.Stoehr, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok), D.O’Toole

Post Match Review: A dire first hour in truth as we never got going. Once we grabbed our first goal we seemed to wake up but I wont put up with us giving the opposition another three goal head start. The Man of the Match Award will be going to A.Marks for his last half hour performance, but lads we need better than this

February 17th: Hardly Athletic v Hyde: Blue Square North (29/42)

We started well and on the 19th minute we had the chance to score as D.O’Toole sprinted into the area to fire towards goal but his effort was tipped over by the Hyde keeper. Ten minutes later D.O’Toole was at it again as he bravely headed in an A.Marks cross towards goal but the keeper managed to get his body in the way and block the effort. It was becoming far too easy for my team and with five minutes remaining in the half we took a deserved lead as M.Kowalski headed in an A.Marks corner after G.Bears initial long range effort was well saved by the keeper.

Half Time Score 1-0

The second half was much the same with my team dominating Hyde, however for all our domination we struggled to get past there defence but on the 75th minute we finally grabbed the second goal as A.Marks whipped in a great effort into the top corner of the net to give the Hyde keeper no chance of saving. After the goal I made a triple change as C.Fantu, S.Saville and F.F.Tikle-Wok all came on in place of Ishu, S.Stoehr and D.O’Toole. Four minutes later we added goal number three as G.Bear crossed into the area for A.Anymoredohnuts to nod down into the bottom corner of the net. With four minutes remaining in the game we grabbed the final goal as substitute S.Saville fired in past the Hyde keeper to cap off a great game for the team

Hardly Athletic 4 M.Kowalski 40, A.Marks 75, A.Anymoredohnuts 79, S.Saville 86

Hyde 0

Players: H.Chaha, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, M.Kowalski, T.Owens, Ishu (75-C.Fantu), A.Marks, G.Bear, S.Stoehr (75-S.Saville), A.Anymoredohnuts, D.O’Toole (75-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: A very good performance by the team as a whole as we kept Hyde away from the ball. It was good too see goals from each department of the team. The Man of the Match Award will be going to A.Marks who ran the midfield with comparative ease

February 20th: Hardly Athletic v Mansfield: FA Trophy 4th Round

Before the game I was informed that if we beat Mansfield we will be facing either Chelmsford or Cambridge.

Mansfield got off to the better start and on the 8th minute they went into the lead as B.Sturrock curled the ball into the top corner past H.Chaha after the defence failed to deal with his run. On the 29th minute Mansfield had another chance to score as they piled into the area and fired towards goal but T.Owens slid in a cleared the ball. Just before the break we had our first chance with A.Anymoredohnuts heading just wide of the post from an Ishu cross.

Half Time Score 0-1

I made a couple of changes at the start of the half as C.Fantu and F.F.Tikle-Wok coming on for G.Bear and D.O’Toole. The second half was ten minutes old when the next goal was scored as T.Owens rose highest to nod home a S.Stoehr cross. On the 58th minute we went into the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts jinked his way into the area to fire past the Mansfield keeper. We were beginning to control the game and on the 68th minute we grabbed another goal as a vicious cross by C.Fantu was diverted into the net by A.Marriott for an own goal. Two minutes later Mansfield were given the chance to pull a goal back as M.Kowalski fouled in the area for a penalty, D.Clare stepped up for the penalty and beat H.Chaha with the pace to make it 3-2. On the 87th minute we had one last chance as F.F.Tikle-Wok rattled the crossbar with a thunderous effort but it bounced clear of the goal

Hardly Athletic 3 T.Owens 55, A.Anymoredohnuts 58, A.Marriott og 68

Mansfield 2 B.Sturrock 8, D.Clare 70 pen

Players: H.Chaha, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, M.Kowalski, T.Owens, Ishu, A.Marks, G.Bear (45-C.Fantu), S.Stoehr, A.Anymoredohnuts, D.O’Toole (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: A great game which saw us going through to the next round. You all deserve a pat on the back for the effort put in. The Man of the Match Award will be going to T.Owens for his rock solid performance

February 21st: Injury news sees M.Samedan returning to full training

February 27th: Redditch v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (30/42)

The first half saw Redditch controlling much of the play and on the 13th minute they came close to grabbing the lead with a thunderous effort which saw M.Kowalski blocking well. Ten minutes later they had another chance as they broke into the area but the attack was thwarted brilliantly by T.Owens who timed his tackle perfectly. On the 42nd minute we came close to losing a goal as the Redditch attack piled forward again but this time they had chance to score S.Stoehr dispossessed the attacking play to deny them the chance to shoot.

Half Time Score 0-0

After a few home truths during the interval I made a couple of changes as C.Fantu and F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for Ishu and D.O’Toole. The players seemed to react well to my words and on the 55th minute we grabbed the lead as S.Stoehr hit a thunderous effort from outside the area to give the Redditch keeper no chance of saving. Eight minutes later we had another chance as A.Anymoredohnuts ran onto a S.Stoehr throughball to fire in past the keeper but the goal was ruled out for offside by the assistant referee. Redditch were not getting anything of the ball and on the 70th minute we grabbed a second goal as F.F.Tikle-Wok sprinted into the area to head home a S.Stoehr cross. On the 79th minute we came close to losing a goal as B.Arsenal’s tame back pass was intercepted by the Redditch attack but there effort was brilliantly blocked by H.Chaha.

Redditch 0

Hardly Athletic 2 S.Stoehr 55, F.F.Tikle-Wok 70

Players: H.Chaha, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, M.Kowalski, T.Owens, Ishu (45-C.Fantu), A.Marks, G.Bear, S.Stoehr, A.Anymoredohnuts, D.O’Toole (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: A game of two halves as we were truly dire in the first forty five minutes, but the second half was a million times better and we fully deserved to win the half 2-0. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Stoehr who was none stop in the midfield.

March 6th: Hardly Athletic v Stalybridge: Blue Square North (31/42)

On the 10th minute we were forced into a change as S.Carl Goatsburg was replaced by L.Schnitzel after a nasty head injury. Six minutes later we went into the lead as S.Saville ran through the Stalybridge defence with ease and fired past the keeper. Nine minutes later we had another chance to score as A.Marks curled the ball into the area for D.O’Toole but his effort was easily saved by the keeper. On the 34th minute we came close to grabbing another goal as J.Scottlee of Hesselink with a rasping effort but the ball went wide of the post. On the 43rd minute we doubled our lead as A.Marks jinked his way through the defence to fire under the onrushing keeper. On the stroke of half time we added another goal with J.Scottlee of Hesselink heading past the Stalybridge keeper from a S.Saville cross

Half Time Score 3-0

The second half was much the same as we continued to pile forward and on the 63rd minute we went close with a thunderous effort from Ishu who beat several of the Stalybridge defence. On the 79th minute though Stalybridge pulled a goal back as N.Peyton managed to break clear of my defence to fire past H.Chaha. However it was too little too late and we had all three points in the bank

Hardly Athletic 3 S.Saville 16, A.Marks 43, J.Scottlee of Hesselink 45

Stalybridge 1 N.Peyton 79

Players: H.Chaha, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, S.Carl Goatsburg (inj 10-L.Schnitzel), T.Owens, Ishu, A.Marks, G.Bear (45-C.Fantu), S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, D.O’Toole (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: A confident performance by you lot. However the win has been marred by the news that S.Carl Goatsburg will be out of action for around 3-4 months with a fractured skull. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Saville who controlled the midfield play with ease

March 9th: Hardly Athletic v Alfreton: Blue Square North (32/42)

We again started the better and on the 12th minute we had the chance to take the lead as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired in from close range but the referee ruled the goal out for a foul in the build up. On the 23rd minute we grabbed the lead as A.Marks curled in a great freekick from the edge of the area after J.Scottlee of Hesselink was fouled on his way to goal. Ten minutes later we had another chance as S.Saville fired in from just outside the area but his effort was diverted wide of the goal by the Alfreton defence. Just before the break Alfreton finally had the chance too score with a thundering run but before they had the chance to shoot L.Schnitzel slid through the attacker to clear the ball.

Half Time Score 1-0

I made one change before the restart as F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for J.Scottlee of Hesselink. Three minutes into the half we went further into the lead as D.O’Toole fired in from close range after running onto an A.Marks throughball. On the 65th minute we had another chance to score as F.F.Tikle-Wok headed towards goal from an Ishu cross but the Alfreton keeper saved well. Eight minutes later though we were reduced to ten men after D.O’Toole received a second yellow card and then the red. After the sending off we sat back but luckily for us Alfreton were pretty poor and never really threatened us.

Hardly Athletic 2 A.Marks 23, D.O’Toole 48

Alfreton 0

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel , T.Owens, Ishu, A.Marks, G.Bear, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok), D.O’Toole

Post Match Review: A good performance by the team as we controlled much of the game. D.O’Toole was going to get the Man of the Match Award but after his sending off I decided to give it too A.Marks who was dominant in the midfield

The new players wont be for a while yet minisav, will be around season 2018/19, Im so far ahead now that I am needing new players because the original players have started to retire and move on to other clubs...so will still be needing new players sent

March 13th: Hardly Athletic v Cambridge: FA Trophy Semi Final 1st Leg

We started well enough and on the 8th minute we had the chance to score as F.F.Tikle-Wok headed towards goal from a S.Saville cross but his effort was tipped round the post by the Cambridge keeper. Nine minutes later Cambridge had there first chance as there attack broke into the area and fired towards goal but his effort was well saved by G.Burgess. On the 22nd minute we went a goal down as A.Marriott ran in past T.Owens and fired in after G.Burgess failed to react quick enough. Just after the half hour we had the chance to grab the equaliser as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired just wide of the post after he ran onto a S.Saville throughball.

Half Time Score 0-1

The second half started with a couple of changes as S.Stoehr and A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for A.Marks and J.Scottlee of Hesselink. Seven minutes into the restart we grabbed the equaliser as F.F.Tikle-Wok showed his pace to beat the Cambridge defence and keeper to fire into an open net. The goal seemed to lift my players and we started to control more of the game and on the 66th minute we had our next chance as F.F.Tikle-Wok tried his luck from outside the area but his shot was tipped over the crossbar by the Cambridge keeper. On the 76th minute we went into the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts reacted quickest after the Cambridge keeper fluffed a S.Stoehr effort. With four minute remaining in the game we stupidly conceded a penalty after G.Spavlachenko timed his tackle wrong, A.Marriott stepped up for the penalty and fired towards goal but G.Burgess saved the kick however V.Weijl reacted the quickest and fired in the loose ball.

Hardly Athletic 2 F.F.Tikle-Wok 52, A.Anymoredohnuts 76

Cambridge 2 A.Marriott 22, V.Weijl 86

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel , T.Owens, Ishu, A.Marks (45-S.Stoehr), G.Bear, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink (45-A.Anymoredohnuts), F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: A reasonable performance to be truthful, we just need to keep concentrating for the full ninety minutes. The Man of the Match Award will be going to F.F.Tikle-Wok who never really gave the Cambridge defence any chance to settle

March 17th: Solihull Moors v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (33/42)

We were the better team and on the 23rd minute we had the chance to grab the lead as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired towards goal but his effort was tipped over the crossbar by the Moors keeper. Eight minutes later we had another chance with a rasping effort from J.Scottlee of Hesselink but his yet again the keeper saved his effort. On the 43rd minute Solihull reminded my players that there were two teams in this game as they broke into the area but G.Burgess reacted well and acrobatically saved the effort.

Half Time Score 0-0

The second half saw us piling forward more and on the 55th minute we came close to taking the lead as Ishu crossed in for F.F.Tikle-Wok but his effort was poor and went wide of the post. We were controlling much of the play and on the 66th minute we had yet another effort as A.Marks tried his luck from outside the area but the effort went just over the crossbar after beating the keeper. With ten minutes remaining the winning goal was scored as Solihull countered one of our many attacks and N.Talbott fired in under the onrushing G.Burgess

Solihull Moors 1 N.Talbott 80

Hardly Athletic 0

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel , T.Owens, Ishu, A.Marks, G.Bear, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: Definitely one of those games where we should of scored several goals. We need to be a lot more clinical in front of goal in games like this. The Man of the Match Award goes to G.Spavlachenko who was the main creator of chances during the game, shame others couldn’t finish the chances they were given

March 20th: Cambridge v Hardly Athletic: FA Trophy Semi Final 2nd Leg (agg 2-2)

We didn’t really get started as we struggled with the forward pressure from Cambridge. On the 8th minute Cambridge had there first effort with a long range effort which had G.Burgess scrambling along the line to block the effort. Ten minutes later they had another chance with the attack making there way through the back line but T.Owens managed to get back and clear the ball. Cambridge were battering us and on the 37th minute they had another chance but yet again T.Owens blocked the attackers way with a cracking tackle.

Half Time Score 0-0 (agg 2-2)

I started the second half by making a couple of changes with C.Fantu and A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for M.Samedan and J.Scottlee of Hesselink. The second half was three minutes old when Cambridge had there next chance as they broke into the area but T.Owens slid in and again saved our bacon. However on the 67th minute we took the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts sprinted onto a G.Bear throughball to fire under the body of the Cambridge keeper. Eleven minutes later though Cambridge pulled a goal back as A.Parkinson capitalised on an error by G.Spavlachenko to fire under G.Burgess who was alittle slow to react. The game was heading for extra time but with six minutes remaining the other substitute C.Fantu hit home from 20 yards out after F.F.Tikle-Wok was fouled on his way to goal to send us into the Final of the FA Trophy

Cambridge 1 A.Parkinson 78

Hardly Athletic 2 A.Anymoredohnuts 67, C.Fantu 84

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel , T.Owens, M.Samedan (45-C.Fantu), A.Marks, G.Bear, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink (45-A.Anymoredohnuts), F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: We weren’t good enough in the game but we have made it through to FA Trophy Final so I cant really complain. The Man of the Match Award will be going to T.Owens who saved our bacon on numerous occasions in the first half especially

Hardly Athletic will face Kettering of the Blue Square Premier League in the Final of the FA Trophy with a 4-3 aggregate victory

March 23rd: International news sees C.Fantu play for Armenia U21’s in there 0-2 loss to Belgium in the Euro U21’s qualifier getting a rating of 6.6 for playing the whole game

M.Wilson played for Rep.Ireland U21’s in there 0-0 draw with Hungary in there Euro U21’s qualifier getting a rating of 6.8 for 45 minutes of football

March 27th: Hardly Athletic v Droylsden: Blue Square North (34/42)

We again started well as we controlled a lot of the play and on the 19th minute we had our first chance with F.F.Tikle-Wok coming close with a rasping effort which beat the Droylsden keeper but not the upright. Ten minutes later we had another chance as J.Scottlee of Hesselink was the guilty party as he missed an open chance to score from close range. We were dominating the game with ease and with four minutes remaining in the half we finally took the lead as S.Saville ran into the area and hit a powerful effort past the Droylsden keeper.

Half Time Score 1-0

The second half was much the same as we continued to press forward but for all our pressure we never really got close to scoring. On the hour we had our next clear cut chance as S.Saville crossed the ball into the area but F.F.Tikle-Wok was again guilty of an easy miss. On the 70th minute I made a change with A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for F.F.Tikle-Wok. With five minutes remaining we finally killed the game off as A.Marks curled in a wicked freekick from the edge of the area after A.Anymoredohnuts was brought down on his way too goal

Hardly Athletic 2 S.Saville 41, A.Marks 85

Droylsden 0

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel , T.Owens, M.Samedan, A.Marks, G.Bear, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, F.F.Tikle-Wok (70-A.Anymordohnuts)

Post Match Review: A good performance by everyone, only complaint is that we should be putting games like this away with ease. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Saville who is performing brilliantly at the moment to keep a certain Prima Dona out of the side ;) {safety ****}

March 31st: Fleetwood v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (35/42)

We didn’t get started at all and on the 9th minute we were a goal down as G.Seddon fired in off the crossbar. Ten minutes later we were two goals down as S.Clancy showed some great pace to beat my defence to fire under the body of M.Wilson. Fleetwood were running circles round the team and on the 39th minute we re three goals down as G.Seddon headed past M.Wilson after B.Arsenal failed to deal with the Fleetwood attacker.

Half Time Score 3-0

After the halftime rollicking I made a couple of changes with G.Bear and F.F.Tikle-Wok coming on for M.Samedan and A.Anymoredohnuts. We played alittle better in the second half and on the 57th minute we came close as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired just wide of the post after running through the Fleetwood defence. Five minutes later we managed to pull a goal back as A.Marks showed his skill to meg the Fleetwood defence and fire past the keeper, however after the goal we just seemed to not bother and we deserved to lose.

Fleetwood 3 G.Seddon 9, 39, S.Clancy 19

Hardly Athletic 1 A.Marks 62

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, M.Samedan (45-G.Bear), A.Marks, C.Fantu, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: A real poor performance in truth. I’m far from happy with the way we played. The Man of the Match Award will be going to A.Marks and that is only because he scored. I expect a lot better from you lot

April 3rd:Gloucester v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (36/42)

I’m struggling to understand why we can go from playing brilliantly for most of the season and then in the last few games we just haven’t turned up, this game was no change as we again just didn’t get going. On the tenth minute we had M.Wilson to thank for saving the day as the defence failed to deal with the Gloucester attack. On the 17th minute Gloucester had another chance with a well struck shot which saw L.Schnitzel blocking the effort. It was one way traffic and just after half hour we went a goal down as J.Emery jinked his way through my defence and rounded M.Wilson to slot home into an empty net. On the 43rd minute Gloucester had another chance but this time it was S.Saville who blocked the effort

Half Time Score 1-0

The second half was pretty much the same as we struggled to string more than a couple of passes together. On the 77th minute Gloucester had there next chance to score with a well timed run by there attack but B.Arsenal slid in to save the day. Not a good game

Gloucester 1 J.Emery 31

Hardly Athletic 0

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, M.Samedan, A.Marks, C.Fantu, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review: Another poor performance as we just cant seem to play. Cant really say more than that. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Saville

April 5th: Hardly Athletic v Corby: Blue Square North (37/42)

We again struggled to get going. On the 23rd minute Corby had the chance to score with a long ball over the top but B.Arsenal cleared the ball before the Corby attack got to the ball. Ten minutes later Corby had another chance to score with a great effort but M.Wilson saved well. Just before the break we came close to conceding again but B.Arsenal tackled well to clear the effort.

Half Time Score 0-0

The second half started with me making a change as S.Stoehr came on for M.Samedan. Ten minutes into the half Corby had another chance as they broke into the area but yet again B.Arsenal slid in and cleared the ball. On the 66th minute we finally had the chance to score as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired towards goal but the effort was pretty dire and it went wide of the post. With two minutes remaining Corby had another chance with a long range effort which saw M.Wilson acrobatically saving.

Hardly Athletic 0

Corby 0

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, M.Kowalski, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, M.Samedan (45-S.Stoehr), A.Marks, C.Fantu, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review: Pathetic is the only word for that performance. There’s only two players who actually performed and they were M.Wilson and the Man of the Match B.Arsenal. Without those two we would have been well and truly beaten.

April 10th: Eastwood v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (38/42)

A very tight game with neither my team nor the Eastwood team made many chances. However on the 27th minute they first goal went in as S.Saville hit a powerful effort in off the upright to give the Eastwood keeper no chance of saving. However we let ourselves down on the 38th minute as T.Owens fluffed a clearance and M.Foster fired past the outstretched arms of M.Wilson.

Half Time Score 1-1

The second half started with me making a couple of changes as G.Bear and F.F.Tikle-Wok coming on for A.Marks and A.Anymoredohnuts. The second half was real poor and yet again we seem to be struggling with the basics. Luckily for us Eastwood rarely ventured forward

Eastwood 1 M.Foster 38

Hardly Athletic 1 S.Saville 27

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, M.Kowalski, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, M.Samedan, A.Marks (45-G.Bear), C.Fantu, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: Not the best of games as we failed to deliver anything similar to the form I know we can. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Saville plainly because he scored. We are in serious danger of screwing the League up if we carry on like this. Pull your fingers out

April 17th: Hardly Athletic v Stafford: Blue Square North (39/42)

On the 3rd minute we had the first chance of the game as J.Scottlee of Hesselink sprinted onto a S.Saville throughball but before he had the chance to score the Stafford defence slid in and cleared the ball. Ten minutes later we had another chance as A.Marks tried his luck from outside the area but his effort rattled off the crossbar and out. Just after the half hour we had another chance with A.Anymoredohnuts coming close with a well struck effort but the Stafford keeper saved well again.

Half Time Score 0-0

I made one change to the team at half time as F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for A.Anymoredohnuts. Nine minutes into the half we finally broke through as S.Saville curled in a wicked ball past the Stafford keeper after there defence failed to close him down. Just after the hour we had another chance with some great team play as C.Fantu linked well with S.Saville to fire towards goal but his effort was again well saved by the Stafford keeper. Stafford never really came close to testing M.Wilson in our goal.

Hardly Athletic 1 S.Saville 54

Stafford 0

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, M.Kowalski, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, Panpardus, A.Marks, C.Fantu, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: Finally we have started to look like a team capable of winning the league. We maybe should of scored more but its good to finally get three points. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Saville who dominated the midfield and scored again for us. The victory has guaranteed us a Playoff spot
