Post Match Review: A poor game for the fans as we just didn’t perform to the same level as we did against the previous two oppositions. The Man of the Match Award will be going to A.Marks for his freekick and general midfield play

Sod the fans, especially if we are winning!

December 2nd: Alfreton v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (15/42)

Like the previous game we never really got going and on the 37th minute Alfreton had the chance to open the scoring with a well struck effort but M.Wilson was alert enough to block the effort. Six minutes later Alfreton had another chance to score but T.Owens slid in and cleared the ball.

Half Time Score 0-0

I made a couple of changes at the start of the half with Ishu and J.Scottlee of Hesselink coming on for C.Fantu and D.O’Toole. We started reasonably well and on the 59th minute we had the chance to take the lead as F.F.Tikle-Wok headed towards goal from an Ishu cross but the Alfreton keeper saved well from the header. However after the chance Alfreton upped the gears and on the 70th minute they went into a deserved lead as A.Brown barged past S.Carl Goatsburg to fired under M.Wilson who seemed to be in a world of his own. We just never got going at all in the game

Alfreton 1 A.Brown 70

Hardly Athletic 0

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, T.Owens, S.Carl Goatsburg, C.Fantu (45-Ishu), A.Marks, S.Saville, G.Bear, D.O’Toole (45-J.Scottlee of Hesselink), F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: Not good enough in truth as we offered little in the way of pressure against the Alfreton team. The Man of the Match Award will be going to T.Owens who kept us in the game with some excellent defending

December 5th: Corby v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (16/42)

We got off to a bad start as within two minutes we were a goal down as J.Turner headed in from a great cross to give G.Burgess no chance of saving. Eight minutes later through we grabbed the equaliser as A.Anymoredohnuts jinked his way into the area to fire past the Corby keeper. On the 27th minute we had another chance to score as F.F.Tikle-Wok ran past the Corby defence but his effort was just wide of the post. Just before the break we had another chance to score as C.Fantu crossed the ball into the area but A.Anymoredohnuts headed just wide of the post.

Half Time Score 1-1

The second half saw the introduction at the expense of C.de Bruijn. Four minutes into the half we went into the lead as C.Fantu fired in an unstoppable effort into the top corner of the goal to give the Corby keeper no chance of saving. It got even better as seven minutes later we grabbed another goal with a curling effort by F.F.Tikle-Wok which curled round the outstretched arm of the Corby keeper. On the 72nd minute we conceded a silly goal as T.Jaszczun headed past G.Burgess, however a minute later we regained our advantage as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in brilliantly from outside the area. With six minutes remaining though we let ourselves down as G.Bear was sent off for a second yellow card after showing dissent to the referee

Corby 2 J.Turner 2, T.Jaszczun 72

Hardly Athletic 4 A.Anymoredohnuts 10, 73, C.Fantu 49, F.F.Tikle-Wok 56

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, M.Samedan, C.de Bruijn (45-A.Marks), C.Fantu, G.Bear, A.Anymoredohnuts, F.F.Tikle-Wok (85-S.Saville)

Post Match Review: After the previous games we did well with some good play, its just a shame that we had to finish the game with ten men. G.Bear you have been warned about your discipline. The Man of the Match Award will be going to A.Anymoredohnuts for his double salvo, keep it up

December 9th: Hardly Athletic v Gloucester; Blue Square North (17/42)

We struggled to get going in this game and on the 14th minute Gloucester had the chance to score as L.Schnitzel brought down a Gloucester attacker, N.Mustoe stepped up for the penalty and wasted no time in firing it past G.Burgess. Ten minutes later Gloucester had another chance with a rasping effort but G.Burgess saved well. On the 38th minute we finally had our first chance as Panpardus threaded a ball to the feet of A.Anymoredohnuts but he fired wide of the post.

Half Time Score 0-1

The second half started with D.O’Toole and M.Samedan coming on for A.Anymoredohnuts and A.Marks. The second half wasn’t much better than the first half and on the 68th minute we conceded a goal as J.Pitcher rose highest to head home past G.Burgess, the defence should really of done better. Seven minutes later we managed to pull a goal back as F.F.Tikle-Wok headed home from a Panpardus cross. On the 83rd minute Gloucester had another chance to score but G.Spavlachenko slid in and cleared the ball

Hardly Athletic 1 F.F.Tikle-Wok 75

Gloucester 2 N.Mustoe 14 pen, J.Pitcher 68

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, A.Marks (45-M.Samedan), C.de Bruijn, C.Fantu, Panpardus, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-D.O’Toole), F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: Not a good game in truth as we just didn’t get going. Was far from impressed with many of you, however I have to hand out a Man of the Match Award and it will be going to Panpardus who at least made some effort in the game

December 12th: Mickleover v Hardly Athletic: FA Trophy 1st Round

We got off to a much better start in this game as within 22 second we had grabbed the lead with F.F.Tikle-Wok showing a good turn of pace to beat his marker and fire under the Mickleover keeper. Soon after we had another chance as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in from close range but somehow managed to fire wide of the post. On the 29th minute we had our next chance as Panpardus curled in a great freekick but F.F.Tikle-Wok headed wide of the post. Just before the break we had yet another chance as A.Anymoredohnuts fired straight into the keepers arms when he really should done better.

Half Time Score 0-1

I made a couple of changes at the start of the half as M.Kowalski and D.O’Toole came on for L.Schnitzel and A.Anymoredohnuts. The half was only five minutes old when the next goal went in as Ishu fired in a daisy cutter from outside the area to beat the Mickleover keeper to his far post. Nine minutes later we had our next chance as D.O’Toole curled the ball towards goal but the effort didn’t curl enough and went just wide of the post. On the 67th minute Mickleover had there first chance of the game with what should have been a simple tap in but G.Burgess reacted well and smothered the ball. With ten minutes remaining we had our next chance as D.O’Toole fired towards goal but his effort was tipped wide by the Mickleover keeper. On the 89th minute though Mickleover grabbed a goal as N.McKenzie headed in past G.Burgess.

Mickleover 1 N.McKenzie 89

Hardly Athletic 2 F.F.Tikle-Wok 22 secs, Ishu 50

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel (45-M.Kowalski), T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, C.Fantu, Panpardus, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-D.O’Toole), F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: A good performance by all of you. We must remember to continue this into our next matches. The victory did come at a cost though as F.F.Tikle-Wok twisted his ankle towards the end of the game and will be missing for around 6-8 weeks. The Man of the Match Award will be going to T.Owens for his general presence throughout the game

December 19th: Stafford v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (18/42)

We didn’t get started really and on the 7th minuet we came close to losing a goal as G.Spavlachenko fluffed a clearance but H.Chaha reacted well and saved well. Eight minutes later we again had H.Chaha to thank after some more team defending saw there attack piling forward. On the 29th minute Stafford again piled forward but G.Spavlachenko redeemed himself with a thunderous tackle to deny them the chance to score. However on the 36th minute we went a goal down as B.Mills fired in from close range after H.Chaha spilt a cross.

Half Time Score 1-0

During the interval I went mad at the players, we just weren’t good enough. I made a couple of changes with M.Kowalski and D.O’Toole coming on L.Schnitzel and J.Scottlee of Hesselink. The second half started with Stafford again piling forward and on the 58th minute they again came close with a well struck effort which was diverted over the crossbar by S.Carl Goatsburg. Nine minutes later we finally had a chance as S.Saville fed the ball to the feet of A.Anymoredohnuts who fired towards goal but the Stafford keeper reacted well and saved. On the 73rd minute Stafford had another chance to score as they broke through my defence again and fired towards goal but H.Chaha flung himself to his far post to save well. Three minutes later we grabbed an undeserved equaliser as Panpardus crossed into the area and S.Saville headed onto D.O’Toole who fired in a great volley to give us a share of the points

Stafford 1 B.Mills 36

Hardly Athletic 1 D.O’Toole 76

Players: H.Chaha, S.Carl Goatsburg, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel (45-M.Kowalski), T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, S.Saville, Panpardus, A.Anymoredohnuts, J.Scottlee of Hesselink (45-D.O’Toole)

Post Match Review: Not very happy at all with the performance lads. We know we can do better. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Saville who did well in the midfield

December 26th: Hardly Athletic v Southport: Blue Square North (19/42)

We started well and on the 12th minute we grabbed the lead as C.de Bruijn ran deep into the area to slot past the onrushing Southport keeper. Nine minutes later we had another chance as Panpardus hit a powerful effort from 25 yards but his effort was tipped over the crossbar by the keeper. On the 31st minute Southport had there first chance to score with what should have been a simple tap in but H.Chaha smothered the ball. Just before the break we had our next chance with Ishu crossing in for A.Anymoredohnuts who headed over the goal.

Half Time Score 1-0

The second half started with Southport piling forward and on the 49th minute they came close to grabbing the equaliser but L.Schnitzel slid in and cleared the ball. On the 59th minute I made a change with D.O’Toole coming on for A.Anymoredohnuts who had been pretty ineffective during the game. Seven minutes later we had our next chance as Panpardus tried his luck from the edge of the area but the ball wouldn’t curl enough and the ball went just wide of the post. However on the 77th minute Southport grabbed the equaliser as we were caught ball watching and E.Davis fired in from close range. With five minutes remaining the winning goal was scored as Panpardus again tried his luck from distance and this time lady luck was with him as the keeper managed to get his fingers on the ball but not enough and the ball rattled in off the upright to give us all three points

Hardly Athletic 2C.de Bruijn 12, Panpardus 85

Southport 1 E.Davis 77

Players: H.Chaha, S.Carl Goatsburg, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, S.Saville, Panpardus, A.Anymoredohnuts (59-D.O’Toole), J.Scottlee of Hesselink

Post Match Review: A good game after the previous effort. We did well barring the one slip up which cost us a goal. The Man of the Match Award will be going to Panpardus who was instrumental in most of attacking play

December 29th: Gainsborough v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (20/42)

We started brilliantly and on the 3rd minute we grabbed the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in after some great individual work. Ten minutes later we had another chance with J.Scottlee of Hesselink firing in from the edge of the area but his goal was ruled out by the referee for a foul. Gainsborough weren’t getting much of the ball and on the 29th minute we had another chance with Panpardus trying to score from outside the area but his effort was acrobatically saved by the keeper. Just before the break we passed our way into the Gainsborough area and C.de Bruijn fired in towards goal but his effort was well saved by the Gainsborough keeper

Half Time Score 0-1

The second half started with C.Fantu coming on S.Saville who was looking alittle jaded. The second half was much the same as we carried on piling forward and on the 56th minute we had another chance as J.Scottlee of Hesselink rounded the keeper but somehow fired wide of the post. Seven minutes later we finally double our lead as A.Anymoredohnuts headed home a C.Fantu cross. On the 69th minute we grabbed another goal as Ishu used his pace to get into the area and slide the ball past the Gainsborough keeper. Ten minutes later we again came close as G.Spavlachenko ventured forward and fired towards goal but the Gainsborough keeper saved well. With five minutes remaining we grabbed a fourth goal as Ishu hit an unstoppable effort from the corner of the area to cap off a great game

Gainsborough 0

Hardly Athletic 4 A.Anymoredohnuts 3, 63, Ishu 69,85

Players: H.Chaha, S.Carl Goatsburg, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, S.Saville (45-C.Fantu), Panpardus, A.Anymoredohnuts, J.Scottlee of Hesselink

Post Match Review: A truly great performance, more of these lads and promotion will be ours for the taking. The Man of the Match Award was a close call between A.Anymoredohnuts and Ishu, but Ishu will be getting it for his more rounded performance

This will be the last posts till after Christmas because I will be working night shifts till then and wont have the time to type anything up.

Also remember if anyone wants to add another player PM me, still need a few more so I can add them into the Hardly Athletic squad

Stoehrst - Your still not at 100% yet but you will be getting some game time soon

January 2nd 2010: Hardly Athletic v Workington: Blue Square North (21/42)

The New Year started well for us as we controlled a lot of the play. On the 15th minute we had our first chance of the game as C.Fantu tried his luck from the edge of the area but his effort was well saved by the Workington keeper. Ten minutes later we had another chance as C.de Bruijn showed some pace to get intro the area but his effort was well saved again by the keeper. On the 33rd minute though Workington were given the chance to score as M.Kowalski slid into the Workington attacker to concede a penalty, A.Wright stepped up for the kick and fired in past M.Wilson in the goal.

Half Time Score 0-1

I made a triple change for the second half as G.Spavlachenko, Panpardus and A.Anymoredohnuts came on for L.Schnitzel, A.Marks and J.Scottlee of Hesselink. On the 52nd minute we had our first chance of the half as A.Anymoredohnuts threaded the ball to the feet of C.de Bruijn but his effort wasn’t good enough and the ball went wide of the post. Just after the hour we grabbed the equaliser as D.O’Toole showed some great vision to curl the ball past the outstretched arm of the Workington keeper. On the 69th minute we came close again as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in from just inside the but the Workington keeper again saved well. However eight minutes later we grabbed the lead as D.O’Toole ran onto a long punt over the top by B.Arsenal to fire past the keeper. It was getting too easy for us and deep into injury time we grabbed the killer goal as D.O’Toole capped an excellent game with a hattrick

Hardly Athletic 3 D.O’Toole 61, 77, 90+2

Workington 1 A.Wright 33pen

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, M.Kowalski, S.Carl Goatsburg, L.Schnitzel (45-G.Spavlachenko), M.Samedan, C.de Bruijn, A.Marks (45-Panpardus), C.Fantu, D.O’Toole, J.Scottlee of Hesselink (45-A.Anymoredohnuts)

Post Match Review: A good performance guys as we controlled much of the play and never really gave the opposition a sniff of the ball. The Man of Match Award will be going to D.O’Toole for his hattrick and the way he kept the Workington defence on the back foot

  • 2 weeks later...

Hope everyone had a good Christmas, due to me playing the game alot I am getting alittle desperate for extra players so if anyone wants to add another player just PM with the usual details and I'll add you in

January 6th: Hardly Athletic v Vauxhall: Blue Square North (22/42)

Compared to the previous game this one was pretty boring with little in the way of action. We had the one chance in the half as A.Marks curled the ball into the area for D.O’Toole to head just wide of the post. However that was really it for the first half.

Half Time Score 0-0

The second half saw me making a couple of changes with G.Spavlachenko and A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for M.Kowalski and J.Scottlee of Hesselink. On the 57th minute Vauxhall had the chance to score with a counter attack but S.Carl Goatsburg denied them the chance to score with a great tackle. Eight minutes later we had the chance to grab the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts jinked into the area to fire towards goal but his effort was denied by the Vauxhall keeper. With ten minutes remaining in the game we finally grabbed the lead as D.O’Toole rose highest to nod home a S.Carl Goatsburg cross past the Vauxhall keeper.

January 9th: Hardly Athletic v Solihull Moors: FA Trophy2nd Round

We got off to a great start as on the 4th minute C.Fantu jinked into the area and fired in past the keeper. Ten minutes later we had another chance as D.O’Toole showed his pace to beat his marker but his final effort was pretty poor and the ball went wide of the post. On the 31st minute we had another chance to score as A.Marks curled the effort into the area but C.Fantu failed to connect and the ball went wide of the post. With six minutes remaining in the half we went two goals up as J.Scottlee fired past the Solihull keeper from the edge of the area.

Half Time Score 2-0

The second half started with G.Spavlachenko and S.Stoehr coming on for M.Kowalski and A.Marks. We started the half pretty slowly and on the 64th minute Solihull pulled a goal back as K.Cox ran past L.Schnitzel to fire past M.Wilson in the goal. However after the goal my players seemed to up the gears and on the 78th minute we had the chance to grab the killer goal as D.O’Toole headed wide of the post from a C.Fantu cross. Deep into injury time we grabbed our third goal as S.Carl Goatsburg headed in past the keeper from a C.Fantu corner

January 16th: Northwich v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (23/42)

We started well and on the 10th minute we had our first chance as S.Stoehr tried his luck from the edge of the area but the Northwich keeper saved well. Nine minutes later we grabbed the lead as L.Schnitzel headed in from under the crossbar after the Northwich keeper flapped at an A.Marks cross. On the 29th minute we had another chance as A.Anymoredohnuts fired towards goal but the Northwich keeper again saved well. Four minutes later we punished for our forward pressure as Northwich countered us and J.Allan fired past M.Wilson with ease. Just before the break we had yet another chance as J.Scottlee hit home from the edge of the area but his effort was again well saved by the opposition keeper.

Half Time Score 1-1

I made a change at the start of the second half with D.O’Toole coming on for A.Anymoredohnuts. On the 59th minute we had our next chance as S.Stoehr threaded the ball to the feet of D.O’Toole but his effort was pretty poor and it went wide of the post. Ten minutes later Northwich had there next chance of the game as an error by L.Schnitzel was intercepted by the Northwich attack but B.Arsenal slid in brilliantly to deny them the chance of scoring. We had one last chance to score as on the 85th minute J.Scottlee ran onto a S.Stoehr pass but his effort was again well saved by the Northwich keeper

Gav - I'll have to leave you guessing who poisoned you

Tenthree - TTO just needs to keep his his forehead direct at the ball and he'll do fine

Stoehr - Just make sure you keep the performances coming and I'll be a happy gaffer

To those who have replied to the email thanks and I'll add the players as when I can, but will always be looking for more

January 23rd: Hardly Athletic v Farsley: Blue Square North (24/42)

We had the better of the game and on the 8th minute we had the first chance as J.Scottlee fired past the keeper but ball just screwed wide of the post. On the 29th minute we had another chance to score as J.Scottlee again came close with a powerful effort which went just over the crossbar. We were in complete control and on the 41st minute we had another chance as B.Arsenal crossed in for A.Anymoredohnuts who headed wide of the post.

Half Time Score 0-0

The second half started with me making a couple of changes as D.O’Toole and G.Spavlachenko came on for A.Anymoredohnuts and L.Schnitzel. We again controlled much of the half and it wasn’t long till we had our next chance as D.O’Toole sprinted into the area to head in a B.Arsenal cross but his header was well saved by the Farsley keeper. We had one last chance in the game as S.Stoehr ran past the Farsley defence but his attack was thwarted by a brilliant block by the Farsley keeper

Hardly Athletic 0

Post Match Review: We again struggled to find the net, the whole team needs to learn how to finish the attacks like we were doing in the first half of the season. The Man of the Match Award will be going to B.Arsenal for the way he was dominating the wing with his runs

January 26th: AFC Telford v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (25/42)

We never really turned up in the game as Telford dominated the game and on the 19th minute we came close too losing the first goal as there attacker ran forward and fired towards goal but T.Owens diverted the ball wide with a brave block. On the 37th minute they had another chance as a long ball over the top was volleyed towards goal but G.Burgess acrobatically tipped the ball over the crossbar

Half Time Score 0-0

I made a change at the start of he half as D.O’Toole replaced the ineffective J.Scottlee. On the 66th minute we had our first real effort of the game as A.Anymoredohnuts played a one two with G.Bear and fired towards goal but his effort wasn’t good enough and the ball was easily saved by the keeper. On the 73rd minute I made another change as Panpardus came on for S.Stoehr. The change made little effect and we again came back with an undeserved point

AFC Telford 0

Hardly Athletic 0

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, S.Carl Goatsburg, T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, G.Bear, S.Stoehr (73-Panpardus), J.Scottlee of Hesselink (45-D.O’Toole), A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review: We just weren’t good enough as we struggled to cope with a very attack minded Telford side. The Man of the Match Award will be going to T.Owens who kept the Telford side away from too many efforts on our goal

January 28th: Injury news sees M.Samedan out of action for around a month after twisting his knee during training

January 30th: Hardly Athletic v Wrexham: FA Trophy 3rd Round

We now faced Blue Square side in the FA Trophy. The game was pretty open in truth and on the 15th minute Wrexham went into the lead as M.Williams fired past G.Burgess after my defence failed to deal with a simple ball. Three minutes later though we grabbed the equaliser as A.Anymoredohnuts jinked his way into the area to fire past the Wrexham keeper. On the 33rd minute Wrexham had another chance to score as there attack piled into the area but the ball was well saved G.Burgess. Ten minutes later we came close to scoring ourselves as D.O’Toole headed wide of the post from a S.Stoehr cross.

Half Time Score 1-1

The second half was two minutes old when we grabbed the lead as C.de Bruijn curled the ball past the keeper to send the home fans wild. On the 59th minute Wrexham had there next chance to score as a slip by S.Carl Goatsburg saw there attack fire towards goal but G.Burgess saved well again. On the 66th minute I made a couple of changes as M.Kowalski and S.Saville coming on for T.Owens and D.O’Toole. Nine minutes later we had another chance to score A.Anymoredohnuts showed some pace to run into the area but the effort was tipped wide of the post by the Wrexham keeper. With five minutes remaining in the game Wrexham grabbed the equaliser as M.Williams ran through my defence with ease to slide the ball under the onrushing G.Burgess to send the tie into a replay

Hardly Athletic 2 A.Anymoredohnuts 18, C.de Bruijn 47

Wrexham 2 M.Williams 15, 85

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, S.Carl Goatsburg, T.Owens (66-M.Kowalski), Ishu, C.de Bruijn, A.Marks, S.Stoehr, D.O’Toole (66-S.Saville), A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review: A good draw against better opposition, in the end I think we deserved the win but we’ll have to do that in the replay. The Man of the Match Award will be going to C.de Bruijn who caused a lot of trouble on midfield and also grabbed himself a goal to boot

Chester - I didnt play you as I feared you passion to do one over on them might get you sent off

February 2nd: The draw for the FA Trophy 4th Round has seen us pitted at home to Blue Square Premier side Mansfield

February 3rd: Wrexham v Hardly Athletic: FA Trophy 3rd Round Replay

A very entertaining game for the fans to watch. However it took till the 26th minute for the first effort as D.O’Toole showed his pace to run into the area to fire towards goal but the Wrexham keeper saved well. Four minutes later Wrexham had there first chance of the game with a powerful effort which went just wide of our goal. On the 36th minute they first goal was finally scored as Wrexham’s M.Williams fired in under G.Burgess. A minute later though we grabbed the equaliser as A.Anymoredohnuts ran past his marker and fired past the keeper. On the stroke of half time Wrexham had the chance to retake the lead with a well struck effort which went just wide of the post.

Half Time Score 1-1

The second half saw a couple of changes as I brought on S.Saville and J.Scottlee of Hesselink for C.de Bruijn and D.O’Toole. Two minutes into the half we grabbed the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts showed some pace to run past his marker and fire under the body of the onrushing Wrexham keeper. However two minutes later we conceded again as M.Wolfenden hit home from close range after my defence seemed to be half asleep. On the 66th minute though we went back into the lead as S.Saville curled the ball into the area for T.Owens to run in and head past the Wrexham keeper. Yet again though we conceded a silly goal as on the 68th minute M.Jones fired past G.Burgess after some poor defending. Six minutes later we had the chance to grab another goal as A.Anymoredohnuts was brought down in the area for a penalty, T.Owens stepped up for the kick and fired towards goal but the Wrexham keeper guessed right and saved the ball. On the 81st minute I made another change as S.Stoehr was replaced by Panpardus. The game went into extra time.

Ninety Minutes 3-3

Four minutes after the restart we grabbed our fourth goal as S.Saville sprinted with the ball from the halfway line to fire past the Wrexham keeper who was alittle slow to react. On the 102nd minute we had another chance to score as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired towards goal from the edge of the are but his effort was tipped wide of the post.

The final half of extra time saw Wrexham coming close from just inside the area but G.Burgess reacted well and saved well. On the stroke of full time we had the chance to kill the game off as Panpardus curled the ball towards the top corner but it was tipped onto the crossbar and went out

Wrexham 3 M.Williams 36, M.Wolfenden 49, M.Jones 68

Hardly Athletic 4 A.Anymoredohnuts 37,47, T.Owens 66, S.Saville 94

Players: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, G.Spavlachenko, S.Carl Goatsburg, T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn (45-S.Saville), A.Marks, S.Stoehr (81-Panpardus), D.O’Toole (45-J.Scottlee of Hesselink), A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review: A great performance in the attacking sense as we battered the Wrexham side, however I was alittle disappointed with the way we defended. It was pretty poor to be truthful. The Man of the Match Award will be going to A.Anymoredohnuts for his two goals and general annoyance to the Wrexham defence

Minisav - not sure what you've got up to now but I will being doing a player review at the end of the season so I will tell you there

Tenthree - I would complain about the penalty miss but I'm scared that Mr.Owens will batter me ;)

February 6th: Hardly Athletic v Blyth: Blue Square North (26/42)

We now had to get back to the fun of the League as we faced Blyth. The half started pretty slowly as both my team and the Blyth team struggled to get any sort of passing rhythm going and it took till the 37th minute fore the first real effort as A.Anymoredohnuts made himself free in the area but his effort went wide of the post after beating the keeper. With two minutes remaining in the half we had a clear cut chance to score as F.F.Tikle-Wok was brought down in the area by the Blyth defence for a penalty, T.Owens stepped up for the kick and wasted no time in firing past the Blyth keeper.

Half Time Score 1-0

The second half started well for us as on the 55th minute we doubled our lead as G.Bear curled in a brilliant freekick from 25 yards out after A.Anymoredohnuts was brought down on his way too goal. Three minutes later I made a double change as Panpardus and J.Scottlee of Hesselink were brought on for S.Stoehr and A.Anymoredohnuts. On the 65th minute Blyth had the first real effort of the game as M.Kowalski brought down an attacker in the area for a penalty, R.Dale stepped up for the penalty and fired in which gave G.Burgess no chance of saving.. On the 79th minute we had another chance to chance to score as G.Bear again tried his luck from the edge of the area but his effort rose too much and went over the crossbar. With two minutes remaining we had another chance to score as J.Scottlee of Hesselink headed wide of the post from a C.de Bruijn cross

Hardly Athletic 2 T.Owens 43 pen, G.Bear 55

Blyth 1 R.Dale 65 pen

Players: G.Burgess, L.Schnitzel, M.Kowalski, S.Carl Goatsburg, T.Owens, Ishu, C.de Bruijn, G.Bear, S.Stoehr (58-Panpardus), F.F.Tikle-Wok, A.Anymoredohnuts (58-J.Scottlee of Hesselink)

Post Match Review: A good performance as we never really gave the Blyth team a sniff of the ball. However the game came at a small cost as we have lost the services of Panpardus for around twelve days after he received bruised ribs going in for a challenge. The Man of Match Award will be going C.de Bruijn who dominated the game without much trouble
