My best advice would be don't leave a Spurs save!

But anyhoo, try Berba as either complete or DLF/support alongside Roo. Alternatively you could also make him targetman/support and play to feet, that would suit Berbatoss.

I will back on my Spurs save before you know it Ed. Because, I'm top of the league& Gazzer Bale is playing like a GOD down the left. :)

Cheers for the advice. Might use the Target Man suggestion.

Cheers for the quick response.

I've used him there a lot and just wanted to know if that was his best role

Ty

Np mate. As he has lost of pace then set him to Attack duty. Of course in some games wher you want to keep possesion use him in Support duty, but mainly in Attack. .)

I have Hamsik and Pastore, and am not sure what roles to give them. I play Pastore in the AMC position, and Hamsik in the MC position. I'm Man City, btw.

If they are the only ones in your midfield exept for wingers if you play with them, then I would deifinitely look to have some defensive-minded MC instead of Hamsik, but if you're already playing like that, then Pastore - Advanced Playmaker (Attack) and Hamsik Cnetral Midfielder (Automatic) are the besto roles for them. Thouh strongly consider putting Hamsik in a more defensive role because you'de be left opet through the middle especially if opp. play with AMC.

What would people use Andy Carroll & Owen Hargreaves as? 4th season in Championship with Torquay. Carroll will be playing upfront with Luke Moore set as a poacher or Daryl Murphy set as an advanced forward. Hargreaves I dont have a clue on but his influence is so vital to my team I need him to be playing.

If those two will have Attack duties as you say then Carroll would be Target Man (Support), and Owe Hargreaves Defensive Midfielder (Support).

Cheers mate. Had Andy Carroll set as a target man attack with supply to head, not sure whether to edit the supply to mixed. Will impliment both these when I get home & play.

To Head, but Support duty, so he can ly off balls to your Poacher or Advanced Forward. Or you can have those two as a Target Man set to Run Onto Ball.

Well I usually play a ball-winning midfielder next to Hamsik, with 2 wingers and Pastore in the AMC position. The ball-winning midfielders are usually either Yaya Toure or Jack Rodwell

In that case, I'd play Hamsik as a Central Midfielder (Automatic), have Ball-Winning (Defend) next to him and Pastore Advanced Playmaker (Attack).

Guys, am Barca season 1 playing a 4-2-3-1 formation and need some help with my midfield, as have a wealth of quality!

I have got Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta, Mascherano, Messi, Pedro, Modric and Pastore.....any suggestions on who to play where and roles?

How exactly 4-2-3-1? There are a lot of variations of that formation.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the best out of Mario Balotelli as I don't want to sell him and my coaches regard him as a great talent but no matter what I try I can't get him to fire up he has scored 1 goal in 20 odd games. He seems happy as his morale is sky high and is training well and no complaints from him just he won't score

Inside forward from the left hand side or if you play him upfront then either complete forward or advanced forward.

Okay I'll try that is there any preferred moves or individual training that you would recommend I put him on to help improve him more?

I wish they had options for his attitude, ego and laziness ha ha

If you are going to play him as an inside forward on the wing then if one of his moves isnt cut inside I would do that. Otherwise I am not sure & it would possibly best to ask someone in the Man City thread itself.

haha, I would have him on some sort of army schedule if I had the choice ha. Erm.....I cant remember what his stats are like but if you go onto his player screen, then click on training across the top bar where his stats ect are. Then if you have a look on the right hand side somewhere it has a drop down bar where you can see strength, attacking, defending ect and when you click on 1 of them it tells you exactly what each of them categories involves. If that all makes sense then you can pick any of his weaknesses and put him on an individual regime. If it doesnt I will get a screenshot of what I mean when I get home from work.

Any advice here would be great.

I have a 33yo Gareth Barry with my Torquay side, just promoted to the Premiership. I will be playing a 4-4-2 formation with high wingers, or the 4-3-2-1 formation, Rafa style. During pre-season he was set as a box-to-box midfielder but dont know with his age if I should change this.

The other player is Martin Bernburg. A striker I signed from Brondby. Sorry, no screenshot available due to me being at work.

Please and thanks on any advice :)

I'd play Barry as a MC and Central Midfielder (Automatic). I'm really not sure about that striker, but maybe Advanced Forward?

I've got these three playing up front with Dzeko on the left as a complete forward (attacking), Tevez in centre as a deep lying forward (support) and Suarez on the right as a advanced forward (attacking).

Tevez is on fire and scoring nearly every game...The other two only have 16 goals in the league combined...any ideas where I could tweek? My current formation is 3 CB, 2 CM AMR, AML and 3 strikers

Both now currently in a goal drought not scoring for over 400 mins each...I've tried doing Dzeko as a DLF (Supprting) in the middle and other two as complete forwards (attacking) and I've had no luck either!

Name: Tom Cairney

Position: Central Midfield/Left Midfield/CAM

Role: ?

Duty: ?

Other Instructions: ?

Team: Blackpool

Team's Formation: Traditional 4-4-2

He's best at advanced playmaker support. If you're Blackpool playing a 442 though, you're going to need a really good ball winner next to him as he's not very useful defensively and your midfield will be pretty soft
