Hey everybody

When I srated playing FM10 my graphics and 3d match engine was alright

But recenlty they have started becoming more and more choppy and jerky

I upgraded to a faster porcessor, and better graphics card but still for some reason it seems like they are choppy. Could the game have defaulted on using teh on board graphics card? How do i change it so it uses the actual graphics card?

Thanks

P.S By the way the specs are:

NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400 GS

512.0 MB

It is AMD ATHLON PROCESSOR X2 DUAL CORE 5000+,, MMX, 3DNOW (2 CPUS)

Memory: 2046 mb ram

And direct x version 10.

Did you upgrade to that card. Because that card isn't much better than last gen Intel On-boards. Worse than the current Intel Onboards.

Check the Display Properties to see which graphic card you are using. And You can switch from Onboard to Dedicated from the BIOS. Its universal.

Well I don't want to wait until they've fixed it haha.:D

You have two options

1) Get a cheap Athlon and get the Sandybridge / Bulldozer later this year

2) Get the Sandybridge, use only two SATA3 ports and RMA the board in 2-3 months.

A Sandybridge should run 60 to 120 leagues depending on models whereas the Athlon would run 15 to 40 leagues depending on models.

EDIT: Intel said that they will start shipping the new boards in Feb end so Should be available in March 1st week.

Well, it stopped the running low on memory/closing down stuff, but instead it now says it can't load the saved game. I'll be so annoyed if it means I have to start my game from scratch, as it was going really well.

It happened to me before, maybe it's because you're out of HD space.

Guys, I've got around a £400 budget what can I get for my money?

I currently run this which I am guessing a quite a low spec as I struggle to run alot of leagues:

Microsoft XP

Pentium 4 CPU 3.00Ghz

1.00 GB Ram

I'm basically looking for a substantial improvement.

BTW when you say how many leagues it will run, are you referring to the individual leagues or the country? I.e Argentina is 2 leagues.

Individual leagues.

Best bet would be a custom desktop.

Hi Ishu,

Any chance you could tell me what this system would run?

Intel Core i7 Processor 870 (2.93GHz, 8MB)

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)

Nvidia GeForce GTX460

8192MB (2x4GB) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel

Thanks

60 leagues

The CPU is AMD but the motherboard is Intel (Just won't work).

Outdated Graphic card.

Triple Channel only works with Intel X58 (and X58 is outdated).

Dunno about the case but the PSU with it probably sucks.

And better coolers for that price.

Made a "How many players will this load" request a while back but I didnt actuaily end up buying that pc, I did however buy another.

Ive loaded it up on FM, (im useing it rite now) and it only has a "recomended player count" of 125k...

Should I pay any attenition to this? I know the performence ratings stars dont work properly but is this accurate?

If not how many players would you reccomend for this spec while still having dcent speeds? (not superfast but very playable) I ran a few months with 125k players but it was still abit too fast (well obv not too fast but I mean I would like to have more players in exchange for speed loss)

Spec:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor

8 GB

Windows 7(64bit)

GeForce GTS 450 1GB version

thx

I think I might just buy a laptop, Ishu. One that will run around 25-40 leagues and is a decent price.

Just because I think that it will be better for uni. Or if you could build me a computer using that website before, that would be great! :)
