And 4-0, yeah, but it was just a match.

Yep, just a world cup quarter final. Not important at all. Have fun at the copa del nada/whatever other competition next year/whenever, I'm sure all of Argentina finds that much more important than this piddly world cup :D

You mention Ozil and Muller as if they're established stars, they're just starting out ffs.

Podolski sucks btw, ever seen him in the Bundesliga? And Khedira? Seriously?

You really think any one of these comes close to being a star like those I mentioned?

Mate, they kicked yours asses all over the pitch, that's the only thing that counts. Stars? Germany is about to add another one to their kit, that's what stars is about.

MESSI, MESSI! WHO THE FECK IS MESSI?!:D

And yet, DJ, the whole point was whether Argentina does or doesn't have more stars than Germany. Not that it made one team better or worse than the other. Anyway, we'll see if they add another star, or they choke in the semis or the final like they've done for the past 20 years.

and if they do choke at least they do so at a later stage with lesser 'stars' than your team for the past 3 consecutive tournaments.

also tevez whilst obviously a fantastic player is a complete clown, must have the intellectual capability of a pea (not that it matters as he's a multimillionaire and a world famous persona so...). have never seen him not respond in the most simple neanderthal of manners. that gary neville thing a while ago was just hilarious, for example.

And Germany did choke. They set out to play a semifinal like they were Greece in the group stages. Anti ****ing football. It doesn't matter if Argentina get knocked out in an earlier round, you can't go out to play a semifinal with the strategy of Homer Simpson, The Boxer, and expect much out of it.

I don't think I said we should consider 2010 specifically. Regardless of international reputation, a star is a star. Palermo has been huge for the past 13 years (minus his time in Spain). If he hadn't missed 3 penalties in one match 11 years ago, he'd have been bigger than Batistuta for the national team.

If he hadn´t missed 3 penalties in one match 11 years ago, no one would know his name in europe :)

he failed miserably when it mattered when he played in europe, so in argentina he might be a big big star, but in the rest of the world he is a wanna-be-and-failed, and this tells it all about your "stars" :)

you also said this as an excuse:

"Better yet, let's see Germany in a WC with a rookie manager who didn't even take a management course."

haha so WHY did you even go to the WC with a clown coach like that then when you knew before that he would be such a failure as a coach?

just to have an excuse when the failure happens maybe? :)

and to add:

2006 Klinsmann in fact WAS a rookie manager who didnt even take a management course and STILL defeated the poor argentinians (which had a proven coach with some reputation then) and went straight to the wc semi finals. period. german rookie CAN do this obviously, while argentinian rookies cant...
