Sao_Tom_and_Prncipe.png?t=1272107464

Lester Meek: Lester Meek to São Tomé and Príncipe!

Fradique de Menezes: São Tomé and Príncipe to Lester Meek!

Lester Meek: It’s only the President of São Tomé and Príncipe. Mr de Menezes, can I call you Fradique?

Fradique de Menezes: Have you been reading my Wikipedia page? No one calls me Fradique! Someone has besmirched me!

Fradique de Menezes: See you soon Lester.

Lester Meek: Hey! If I can’t call you Fradique, you can’t call me Lester! The Green Beret’s Equatorial Guinea pick up even more points there, as do Ken Co’s Gabon. What does the table look like at the moment?

SF3-8.png?t=1272107497

Lester Meek: Sir Ronald Vaughan’s Benin lose their top spot, while Ken Co’s Gabon sneak into contention. Everyone has positive points now. Lesotho and Togo will give us our next votes.

Yesterday's Update:

Lesotho.png?t=1272312520

Lester Meek: South Africa calling Lesotho!

Lesotho: We’re only over here, there’s no need to shout.

Lester Meek: That’s true. Lesotho’s representative is just 600 miles from us in Cape Town.

Lesotho: Should I pop over? It’ll only take me an hour and a half by plane?

Lester Meek: No, we’ll use the satellite. What do you think of your country’s performance so far?

Lesotho: Poor. We need to shape up!

Lester Meek: Well, first thing’s first, can you give us Lesotho’s votes?

SF3-10.png?t=1272312514

Lester Meek: Sir Ronald Vaughan’s Benin reclaim the lead. Des Tiny’s Nigeria and Ricky Nakano’s Central African Republic are still going very strong. Not bad for a team that didn’t play any games, eh? Next we travel to Namibia and stay here in South Africa for votes!

Felicia Mabuza-Suttle: Thank you Lester, my dear! Keep up the good work!

Lester Meek: Thank you Felicia! Ah, little Lesotho – Joe Tompkins will be pleased. And Tom Smith’s Botswana pick up 20 points in one round, that’s quite something. Let’s see where that puts them in the most up-to-date table.

SF3-12.png?t=1272320127

Lester Meek: That places them fifth, and in with a good chance of qualifying. Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, their three nearest chasers, still have to give votes too. Sir Ronald Vaughan’s Benin still lead the way and Charlie Henry’s Zimbabwe still prop up the table, but there is plenty to play for. Gabon and Niger give us our next votes.

Rap Nigerien: Good evening South Africa!

Lester Meek: It’s Nigerien hip-hop artist Rap Nigerien! Did you base your name on the genre of the same name?

Niger: Thank you South Africa!

Lester Meek: Ah, of course; namesakes Des Tiny’s Nigeria getting the 12 points there. Let’s look at the table.

SF3-14.png?t=1272389673

Lester Meek: Sir Ronald Vaughan’s Benin are inching ever-closer to qualification there. Just 10 points from the next voter will see them through, and that's assuming Cameroon take the next three 12-pointers. Things are getting tense now! Equatorial Guinea and Angola are next to vote.

Hmmm 21pts ahead of 6th with 3 to vote, and I am one of the voters, I am still a little worried, though we should make it home from here as I take my first 12pts, thanks Niger :)

No problem. Hope you knew what to do. ;)

36 maximum points now to get, with Equatorial Guinea a possible 24 only. That should, should, be slightly advantageous for me. I guess my biggest threat now should be Cameroon....
