Players Continously Taking Long Shots

Right, im sick of my players continously hitting long shots from 25-40 yards,

We are one nil down and im pressing for the eqaulizer, im asking them to work it into the box yet they hit long range efforts,

any ideas how to fix this?

Are you using the latest patch? I use to experience this all the time, but with the 10.03 patch, my players aren't hitting the ball any more then I would expect them to.

Individual instructions to rarely, pass to feet, work ball into box, u may have players with ppm's for likes to shoot from range etc

that's a simplistic way to look at it. in the last patch your preferred tactic generated a lot of long shots. with the new patch the ME is generating different results based on your preferred tactics and whatever PPMs your players have.

i'm personally in the same boat as the poster. my tactics didn't generate an abundance of long shots with 10.2, but now they do. i've done everything i can think of to try and stop my players from bombing away, but with no luck. i play a 4-2-3-1 (2 cms and 3 amcs).

so the patch can cut both ways. it can vastly improves the experience for some folks, while others like me will wonder what happened to their favorite formation...

Crosses into the box get headed over the bar every time by forwards as well now so wingers hitting the line and crossing is also broken. 10.3 is a bit of a disaster for most tactics.
