Ha, ha I keep finding awesome additions like this to the game (new League expansions, Real Agent names, fixed licensing issues, etc) Every time I do I have to re-start my game. Haven't got past September yet :s

Looking forward to the release. Oh and Daniel - If I give full credit & provide links back here would it be OK to post it on sortitoutsi.net's Custom Databases/League Expansion's sections?

a few things

1. sorry about the layout of the 1st post its the VBulletin forums fault, will update it ASAP

2. i have just realised i have missed some club websites i wil get them in ASAP also (COMPLETE)

3. if you have anything to say please post in this thread

4. any extra suggestions will be helpful, have a look in your local paper to get info :)

ENJOY THE FILE!!!

much more up to depth than the previous version(s)

every area of England has extra media added

i have made sure every Club has alot of media even lower league clubs as I and I'm sure plenty others can use it along side with the league expansion packs

i may release add-ons that add media specific to those files (eg. county cup websites)

and i have added competition media as well (eg. evo-stik league website & fa.com (FA Cup/Trophy etc)

i am also in the progress of adding club press officers/club secretaires that are "reporters" for the offical club websites

Fantastic... you've added my blog fraserdigbyswashbag.wordpress.com in your media file and added me as a Journalist!

Apparently I'm a nice journalist...

Can you alter name to The Washbag for a future release as I changed it in the late Spring.

I've also noticed you haven't included our local newspaper covering Swindon - The Swindon Advertiser. The Adver covers the following clubs; Swindon Town, Supermarine, Cirencester Town, Highworth, Shrivenham, Malmesbury, Wootton Bassett.

I forgot to add the Swindon Advertiser is daily

The journo is Anthony Marshall

It would be great if you could make these changes for your next version.

I know it is only British but can you also add

UEFA.com as a media source for Champions League, Europa League, European Championships, U21 Euros etc

FIFA.com for all FIFA events

fantastic idea will get that in as all your other suggestions...

the code was correct but i changed it slightly on a couple (eg. Bristol & Swindon (CLUB SCOPE to CITY)

british journalists v6.1.edt

british media v6.1.edt

extra_media_sources.edt

The third extra_media_sources.edt can only be used with the Uncle Ron England Levels 7 and 8 expansion update.

the folder on mediafire had a few files. i noteiced some were dupilicates. So the 2 files are fine then? only extra media sources if using Uncle Rons Update?

also just as a message if you download uncle rons file my file will be included

Thanks so much for this. Tried to install the files as directed...

I've added "uncle rons" level 7 and 8 leagues and was going to use the media files here (V6.1) as well. I've added them to this folder... C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011\data\db\1100\edt , but they do not show up in the preferences, extra files section of the game.

Just wondered whether anyone has had any problems getting the fiels to show?

a few questions....

did you use steam or and online purchaser to buy the game?? or was it bought on DVD??

the steam pathways are included on the 1st page

also if you patched up the files are in the wrong folder pathways are included on the 1st page

Changed all media with city scope to club scope (for each individual club they cover) due to problems with city scope feature
Included a ddt file that removes default SI british media
Renamed "London Evening Standard" (previously "Evening Standard")

This could just be me but could you try loading another league alongside the English one and see what happens. I've just holidayed a game and press conferences in Spain and Italy (other loaded leagues) were full of local British press. Can you just check in case it was something I inputted by mistake?
this only seems a problem with spanish press conferences which is something i dont get as there are no refrences to spain or any spanish clubs or competitions in the edtor (at least for BBC newsline or yorkshire post!!! :D)

you could try downloading a spanish media pack

i can confirm other countries (germany, france etc.) dont have the english media in the database

it may just be a game issue

i think i remeber seeing this after patch 9.2.0, weird how it nly afects spain though, are there any other countries which have the same problem???

EDIT - there is a picture of Farsley Celtic new manager press conference with Scottish media (for junior leagues) & other foreign media

probably looking at releasing it around the time of the next patch unfortunatly as i havenhad the time due to my research duties for Barwell, Loughborough, Shepshed & QUorn and also the MFA as well

i am still working on it daily and will hopefully get it done asap

is this version (your file) the last release (barring any bugs)?

Where do I save the media source file in Fm11?

These .edt files should be placed in... depending on which patch and/or steam is being used.

Retail - Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011\data\updates\update-1120\db\1120\edt

OR Steam - Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2011\data\updates\update-1120\db\1120\edt

Bumping this thread just to tell you how grateful I am for this fantastic addition to the game. I'm still playing FM10 right now and decided to start a long-term save with FC Halifax Town from the Northern League Division 1 North (level 8). An absolutely essential download if you like to play in the lower lenglish eagues.

This is my first press conference. The screenshot says it all.
