Asiavision: The New Football Hotbed

Asian_Football_Confederation.png

Asia. The largest continent in the world, consisting of the two most populated countries in the world. However, this has not translated into fantastic football players. Facilities and coaching still needs to be developed. The professional football leagues need to be improved. From corruption to the extinction of clubs, it has left a black mark in Asia. Something had to be done.

In comes Ricky Nakano. A smart lad. A Canadian businessman with Chinese roots, the founder of Canadian Soccer Establishment (CSE), wanted to give back to Asia. Looking at the AFC region, he saw a lot of potential, but the Asian nations were still a long way off from competing on the world stage with the likes of Brazil, Argentina, England, France, and Germany. So he had an idea: create the world's best footballers, all from Asia. However, he knew that to compete on the world stage, the AFC nations needed them in Europe, so each of these players will declare residency in an EU nation and help them develop.

-----

The players are created. It is an interesting group. Only 1 of the 26 are based in West Asia. 5 from Australia. Even 3 from Hong Kong. There are players from minnow countries like Guam, Macau, and The Philippines. Even one from North Korea. Without further ado, the new faces of Asian football:

Updates will be done monthly. I am starting in January 2009 so if you might not play any games even if you do get signed. Although the game does start on January 21st, so the next update I will do is March 1, because the clubs are still in pre-season anyways.

Some things for you guys:

  • no screenshot requests. I will give you guys a screenshot either on December 15th or June 15th depending on what league you are in. If you manage to switch from a summer league schedule to a August-May league schedule I will only give you a June screenshot
  • I'm a fast typer. Sorry in advance if I misspell anything! :D

Andrei has interest from Russian clubs and one Chinese club. It would be interesting to see him start his career at a Chinese club, but I gave him a lot of ambition so he'll definitely go for Dinamo Moscow imo.

Mental stats looking good and at 16 got plenty of time for the physical and technical ones to improve. Signed for a new club so that sounds promising, I think I went to Vaduz in another sign-up but can't remember which one.

I know some of you are still getting anxious to sign with a club, but I think once the summer transfer window opens the players will get signed. If not, I already have a solution and you will get to choose an interested team. More details later if you really can't find a team after August/September but I don't want you retiring...but if you don't reply, it probably means you forget this sign-up already and I won't update you and let you retire if you can't find a club...

Andrei seems to be doing decent in the reserves/u18's for Dinamo Moscow, I hadn't expected him to start playing immediately, but it's good to see him do well at the level he's playing at.

I ended up with Djurgarden? How the heck did they get into the picture? Ah well, at least they're a top notch Swedish team, and they're playing me every match, can't complain there. And I'm the early leader in int'l apps and goals :D Up Qatar!

Any of those Italian clubs signing Zaydan would be great!

I mean - Ascoli, Bari, Bologna, Chievo, all big clubs!

Bari, in Serie A, where Cassano, Zambrotta, and Boban used to play.

Bologna, won the league many times.

Chievo, well, who never heard the tales of the Flying Donkeys! And many top players passed through this club.

Come guys, sign Zaydan up! :D

KUTGW, rancer! ;)

NOTES:

  • Tom Hamilton: Tom won't supplant anyone on the Manchester United first team, but has 5 goals in 8 games with a 6.97 rating with the Reserves and U18s. He hasn't been very sporting on the pitch though, with 3 yellows and 1 red.
  • Harry Von Stronburg: Hamilton's teammate, has played 4 games with the Reserves and U18s, getting 1 assist and 2 Man of the Match Awards, with a 8.45 rating.
  • Andrei Yang: Yang has 17 goals, 4 assists, 5 MoM, and a solid 7 rating with the Dinamo Moscow Reserves/U18s
  • Zaydan Scarface: he is average 1 goal a game in his 3 appearances with the U19s, getting 1 MoM award and a 8.30 rating.
  • Tan Ah Kow: FC Basel has made the group stage of the Europa League. Their opponents include Krylja Sovetov (RUS), HSV (GER), and rivals Zurich (SUI)

This is my final update for today. :)

Hibernian, nice! hopefully i can catch the eye of the Rangers management and play for my favourite team. Altough given their terrible financial woes i dont think they can afford me.

Good start to my career so far though 3 starts, 1 goal and a 7.80 average.

P.S. this is looking great so far. Excellent work Rancer.

Pleased to be at Adelaide United, my boy-hood club!

A little worried about my stats though, I'm disappointed my finishing wasn't higher :(

Wow some good performances for the national side despite the losses and some more good performances on the domestic scene too.

Falkirk.

Tan Ah Kow is faring better. At the same club as where one of our previous Singaporean legends once played, V Sundramoorthy.

7 goals in 5 matches, nice one, is RBC on Eredivisi?

Nope. Eerste Divisie. But you're the main reason RBC are in 1st place. :D

Moved to Liverpool :D And Another goal in another Qatari victory! Things are looking pretty good right now, and nice to see Djurgarden getting paid for making a good call :)

Signed by Derby - not bad starting in the championship.

Quiet start but hopefully he's gonna develop

So, Valladolid, eh. Cool.

And with an average of a goal a game in the U19 before long he will start in the senior team :D

Woah! Dash looks really good and already averaging a goal a game! Great stuff, but surely he can't stay at Illichivets for long.

Fantastic updates so far.
