Redhotwax Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Hi all, First of all, I love the new FM. The additional options when creating new tactics are great. But, it is also this aspect of the game which is giving me a bit of a headache. I'm playing with Arsenal, and whilst my midfield and forwards are playing brilliantly, I have a lot of trouble with my defenders. I play Vermaelen and Naldo at CB, but for some odd reason, they don't seem to defend. Same with the fullbacks, Clichy & Sagna. With this, I mean they don't challenge players bearing down on my goal. Defenders deal fine with high balls, ie. they head them away, but when facing a player with the ball at his feet they seem to back off or turn their back towards the player, resulting in well, goals against which shouldn't be necessary. Anybody else having this problem, or anyone even have a solution/explanation? I've already upped the aggression in tackling, changed my defensive line to the deepest possible, closing down to own half and more pressing, all to no avail.
