DodgeeD
Youth of the World Unite! - DodgeeD's Global Youth Development Project: 2012 Update Injuries blighted the GYDP this year as YP1 spent a total of 7 months out with 3 different injuries and Chim Man Kit broke his leg shortly after joining the club. hasdgfas
Hasdgfas's Arsenal Youth YP1 - Andy Denton(MC) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report Post Season 2 Profile Post Season 2 Report Got him a couple of loans this year. First half of the season he went to BSP side Kettering, where he got a goal and 6 assists with an avg rating of 6.83 in 25 appearances, which is pretty good for BSP and someone so young. Second half of the year he went to L2 side Torquay, where he got a goal and an assist in 4 appearances. I would've liked him to get more game time there, but not a whole lot you can do when he's gone. I'm going to try to get him another loan this season as I still have a really crowded midfield at Arsenal. Some decent improvement on stats this season as well. YP2 - Mark Rankin(DRC) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report Not a whole lot of improvement as he only got 2 games for my first team. He did quite well in the first one, with a rating over 7, but the second one was a complete disaster, leading to a rating of 3.6. That kept me from using him the rest of the season, which probably wasn't great for him. However, hopefully I can get him a loan and/or tutoring this season to improve him more. YP2.5 - Terry McGill(AMR) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report Got a little run of sub appearances and was decent, not great. I'm continuing to try to train him into an AMC, which is slow going. Might try to get him a loan, because he still looks to be an incredible prospect, but I don't want them playing him on the right. I may save the loan for January and continue the training. Let's see how it goes. And now this season's taken in youth prospect. YP3 - Ian Whyte(DM/MC) Initial Profile Initial Report I'm quite impressed by the potential here. Looks to be a better MC than DM, as his Strength is rather low and his heading is abysmal. However, he's nice and fast and will probably make for a wonderful MC. I might try to train him for an AMC, but the Off the Ball is kind of turning me off of that. I really look forward to his progress though

Cycladic
Aight, time to get back into this (after my initial, though small, foray back in FM08). Will be attempting this with Everton, at least initially, as I doubt how far I'd be able to go if it wasn't. So, without further ado, The Everton FC Project - Alternatively, Rooney 2.0 So it seems Jose Baxter hasn't been rated all that highly in my save (say 'good', but not 'great'), so no luck there. Once again Everton must turn to their youth academy to find England's (or whatever nationality happens to pop out) next star, perhaps pushing them to World Cup glory. Note: Thanks to everyone whom I may have borrowed some ideas for the format off. Project 1 - Phil Cook (2010/11) Initial Profile | Initial Coach Report | (Not Quite) Initial Personal Page (Note, the profile and coach report were taking mid-way through the season, while personal page was taken at the end of the season) Position: Striker Nationality: English Current Club: Everton Initial Thoughts: Unfortunately not quite the next Wayne Rooney, potentially will only be a regular fixture in the Championship. So unless England has one hell of an injury crisis, he probably won't earn a senior cap, let alone feature in the team for any amount of time. I currently have a lack (i.e. none) of senior Strikers who'll offer him the tutoring he needs, so I might retrain him to Attacking Mid and get one of my excellent players there to help him out. End of Season 1 Season 1 Honours: First Goal, Youngest Player for Everton, Youngest Goal Scorer for Everon Season Team Games Goals Assists MOM Average Rating 2010/11 Everton 8 1 1 1 6.82 Total: 8 1 1 1 6.82 Season 1 Comments: As you can see, not a huge amount of progress. He actually lost a couple of stats before he recovered to just (a tiny bit) above his initial level. Definitely think I'm going to have to retrain him to Attacking Mid and get him a decent tutor him. As shown by his (not quite) initial personal page I had Ronaldo (the real one) tutor, which seemed to work somewhat well, might get Vaughan to tutor him while he learns his new position. As for his actual performance over the season, it was rather average. He didn't really slot into the team too well, not helped by the fact that his best position in the team is Tim Cahill's. However, his (lone) goal on debut was a special moment. We had already qualified, so I fielded a team made up (almost entirely) of youth players, who performed rather well. Which is good news for the future. However, he just really doesn't enough potential for the future. Probably won't even make it as backup for a premier league team. Which means his first team appearances will probably be (once again) limited to Carling Cup games and dead rubbers. Project 2 - Matthew Cousins (2011/12) Initial Profile | Inital Coach Report | Initial Personal Page Position: Defender (Centre) Nationality: English Current Club: Everton Initial Thoughts: Much better prospect here, unfortunately I don't think he'll become first choice. Still, hoping he progresses, he should still feature in my first team squad. Just, I don't have any defenders with that much determination, so that's going to have to take a hit when I tutor him. Hoping he might break into the England squad and earn a couple of caps as well. Nice set of physical attributes to start off though.
PaulHartman71
I finally have someone worth mentioning in my FC Libourne-Saint-Seurin save game. Jérôme Hebert, D/MR Initiale profil He probably wont be breaking into the first team this season unless there is an injury crisis, but he has the potential to be a 'leading Ligue 2 player' according to my assistant. This could lead to him being a key player in crucial seasons if we are still in Ligue 2.
hasdgfas
Hasdgfas's Arsenal Youth YP1 - Andy Denton(MC) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report Post Season 2 Profile Post Season 2 Report Post Season 3 Profile As you can see, he's currently on loan at Bohemians in Ireland(which is why I don't have a coach report). He had an initial loan for the first half of the season, but then I gave him a year-long once January hit. He has been performing really, really well at Bohemians. I'm not sure if I'm quite comfortable using him in the first team, but if he keeps this improvement up, it won't be long. YP2 - Mark Rankin(DRC) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report Post Season 2 Profile Post Season 2 Report Got him a loan at League 2 Chesterfield for the season, where he made 23 appearances, with a goal and 3 assists and an average rating of 6.55, which seems all right for a L2 side. He was switching between decent PL player and leading CCC player during the time I had him back though, which doesn't bode well, and that tackling is still awful. Probably not going to make it here YP2.5 - Terry McGill(AMR) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report Post Season 2 Profile Post Season 2 Report Got him 2 loans in the CCC this year, at Plymouth and Peterborough. Combined, he had 25 appearances and 8 assists, averaged 7.5 I don't feel like he'll consistently get games for me this coming year, so I'm going to try to get him one more year on loan and then use him the next season, because he looks incredible. Nearly finished training at AMC as well. YP3 - Ian Whyte(DM/MC) Initial Profile Initial Report Post Season 1 Profile Post Season 1 Report I gave him 3 first team appearances this season and he performed well. I still think MC fits him more than DM. Again, I'll try to get him a loan ASAP, because he'll probably get more time there than here. And for this year, we have.... YP4 - David Dootson(DC) Initial Profile Initial Report I didn't have an assistant for this intake as Pat Rice had retired, so I guessed based on the reports. Looks more competent in the DC position than Rankin. I'd prefer a slightly higher strength, but he looks like he'll develop well. Nice and tall with good jumping as well, which is nice because I need height.

PaulHartman71
This thread seems to have lost the interaction that used to make it such a fantastic thread. I just looked at the posts in this page and there isn't any feedback from anyone for anyone, it just seems to be somewhere for people to post about their youth player. That still makes for a decent thread, but this thread used to be one of my favorite threads on the whole forum because of the interaction and feedback everyone would get for their players/updates. I have to agree with this. I'm at fault for this too, because posting my own players and not commenting on others isn't really something I should be doing, but I've been busy. I'll make a mental note to comment on other players.

I think with people not posting the best player from every year the regulars are in here less to and its become less interesting I now have a player in the youth thread and hopefully that will help me be more interested in other peoples players. PaulHartman71
yeah, I'm going to try and comment more on everyone else's players well now. Good player that and seems to have done well for you have you had any interest from clubs wanting to sign him? Yes I have. I signed him on a pre-contract deal after noticing how good he was, since then I've rejected offers from the likes of: Cagliari, Benfica, Porto, Sporting CP, Stuttgart, Zenit and..... Doncaster Rovers. They've all been around the 200K region so far, so not enough for the chairman to accept on the basis it's too good. The player himself hasn't been unhappy about the bids rejected yet, so, so far so good.
Cardiovascular
mag man - It was ultimately because we had better players. I have about 3 left wingers and in season five, the reason he got a fair bit of time was because I had no right winger.

Steve Muggleton DM,MC - Initial Profile Looks awesome compared to the others I have at this level, I expect him to feature heavily. Still in BSS? Looks like an excellent player for that level. Where do you play him, DM or MC? He looks a better MC with that low strength and low heading, but I haven't really found a good DM regen with those very high. mag man
Yep still in BSS. I havent decided where to play him yet, so far he has played in the DM role but I may make him playmaker to try and get him more involved in play.

tomsmith1989
I've very much been struggling for time to play FM with uni work piling up and exams, etc... But I finally finished my first Leeds United season. I too will now try and make time to give feedback on the other players posted in here from now on. So, here goes. I've actually chosen three players from my first intake who will all be getting some first team experience this season and all look like decent prospects. My assistant manager got poached by West Ham to be a coach, so I chose these myself. tomsmith1989's Leeds United Youth Project Youth Project 1 - Craig Stott (DM,MC) English Left Foot: Very Weak Right Foot: Very Strong PPMs: None Initial Profile|Initial Report Stott looks like a good prospect. We currently have little cover in the DM position, and so he looks set to get a good handful of games. He lacks a little in technical ability, but with many years ahead of him this can be changed. He's mentally capable and has a good physical presence. Youth Player 2 - Andy Rowe (DRL) English Left Foot: Weak Right Foot: Very Strong PPMs: None Initial Profile|Initial Report Rowe already possesses a great deal of pace and agility which is something I look for in my DR/DLs. He also has some good mental stats, but again is technically lacking a little. As with Stott, I hope to improve this with first team action and some tutoring. If he can improve tehnically then I can see him having a future at the club for a while. Youth Player 3 - Josh Rivers (D/WBL) English Left Foot: Very Strong Right Foot: Reasonable PPMs: None Initial Profile|Initial Report Probably the worst out of the three youths I have chosen, but I feel he can still do the job. He has great mental attributes for his age, but again lacks on the technical side of the game. Not as physically capable as Rowe who can also play in his position. However, Rowe is more capable on the right, so Rivers will be looked to when problems arise on the left. He has the use of both feet (be it only reasonable with his right) which could come in handy in future years.
hamilton162
Stott and Rowe look like excelent propects Tom If their technical attributes improve, you could have 2 very good players on your hands!

YP2 - Atonio Solanas Inital Profile Well I needed a keeper but this is disappointing, my assitant rates him with one star and gives him 1.5 stars PA not good, I may ethier loan him out or use him as a backup
