I know this is probably a daft question, but as you update your file, by reloading it, it won't change anything it shouldn't will it? For e.g you said the Premier teams start in the 5th round of the FA cup. When that changes to they start in the 3rd round, how will that work? Thanks

It would only affect a newly created game :)

Aye; you'd put the file in the same place, and then when you start a new game you'd get the chance to change the editor files included for the db setup. You'd simply untick the old one, and make sure the new one was ticked.

Nik; This really is superb :thup: - whilst pondering the SCFLinFM10 project, I have been making a few changes to your file to update Club Colours in the Sussex Third Division, and also have added some data - and the John O'Hara League Cup.

Now I'm going to just take a few hours away from thinking how the hell I'm going to get Sussex working properly, and enjoy being able to do what I have dreamed of for 15 odd years - managing Hailsham Town - and the fact that I can do that is down to you. Cheers mate, this is simply epic :thup:

I've been lucky as having either Northwich Victoria or Solihull Moors as my local teams so playing with them from the bottom has always been possible but looking through at the Level 10 clubs. It is going to be a hard one to actually decide who I would like to be.

just read through this and it looks awesome! could i ask if the Hellenic League Div 1 West is in? i think it should be at level 10 but i'm not sure. if it is could someone provide a screenshot cos i want to see my local team (Wootton Bassett Town) in the game :D I should be getting the game later today and will be downloading this straight away!

what are normal CA's and PA's for teams this low... 50? i want to edit some players (including me) into Lancing United a 11th tier side but i want them realistic!

For a Level 11 side? Probably around 0-5 for a normal player, 6-10 for a standout given the guidelines we work to for level 7 research. That said, newgens would probably end up being in the range 0-19 from what I remember of how things work.

Slight Issue, which I think must be to do with this update.

I'm playing as a League One team, with this update installed, so that I can go lower if I want to. However, nowhere does the game ask me for squad number registration. When I come to play my first game, the game automatically numbers my players 1-11. Now, this really annoys me. It may seem small to you, but I can't really continue with it like this. I could understand it if these were the proper rules for this league, but there are definately squad numbers in L1. I've been into the editor, but there seems to be no way to change it.

Can anyone help?

I've not changed anything for L1... That's a question for SI.

How unfortunate this is.. :(

I love the look and the work going into this and I'll definitely be keeping tabs on how this works out.

Super Bladesman, could you edit the OP every so often so far as to give an update on how its coming and current issues there is? (This, and lots of 'blue' teams)

Might be an idea to organise a team together to get things going. I did a San Marino League but for some reason, even with the winter break programmed, the senior cup was exempt to the break and games were played during this period. Another thing for SI, I think.

Having the same problem. Looks like it isn't just League One but every club in England playing with 1-11.

The squad number issue is a bug with your update, as it doesn't happen when I use the default db. Not a criticism, but something that I hope you wouldn't mind looking at:thup:

this is absolutely brilliant mate, thanks so much.

I spent about 2 hours this morning working on the Wearside league, all the kits, stadiums, cities etc...then when I finished realised it wouldn't work because it needed all of the level 11 leagues for promotion and relegation, I couldn't make it 1 up and 1 down from a specific league :(

I still cant get it to work.

Im on a Mac, I've installed the file in the Editor Data folder, deleted the cache and removed the config.xml file, unticked use skin cacheand ticked Always Reload Skin on Confirm and also ticked the change box but all I get is the default database.....

I noticed that when I load up the game, the config.xml file automatically gets created again in the Editor Data folder.

Anyone else having this problem or ideally, anyone know how to solve it!?

I've not added any players (yet) - the game will generate appropriate standard players for all active clubs anyway.

Presumably those teams that do have players in the database will get them - provided the largest possible DB is loaded?

As I researched a Ryman team I'd like to see my squad in action :D

when i click new game only window that pops up is the "welcome to the new game wizard" so dont know where the change box bit is.

This is great, however there is one issue I have encountered so far. Because all the players are regens, the standard of a paticular team within a league is random, especially at tier 10. This means that all the media predictions and bookies odds for matches will probably be incorrect, sometimes very. This is fixed after the first season (I would imagine, I haven't got to that stage yet) but it makes managing in the 09/10 season a lottery.

EDIT: Just noticed a rather large number of managers being sacked due to the same problem of "realistic" board expectations (ie. they are realistic to real life but not to the regen squads). The patterm is clear: managers of teams with high media predictions floundering near the bottom of the table because of the squad standard.
