a suggestion related to system requirements

9 posts in this topic

hi,

I have a suggestion for the system requirement thread and wherever else sys reqs are posted on the net.

could you post them like they do in my dandy CM01/02 manual - where there are different sys reqs posted based on how many leagues you run? for FM10 you could post e.g. 1,3,5,10 leagues with different levels of detail and db size.

just a suggestion. :)

surely there are too many variables?

leagues run, whether they are full detail or not, how big a database, how much RAM you have, what your processor is, potentially the type of harddrive you have, operating system.

if it can be done and not have too many variables then it would probably be good. although its generally down to the user as to how slow is too slow.

I don't think there are too many to provide a general outline. I'm not expecting one thousand different sysreqs tailored to different archs and so on. simply a little more than that one list.

sure. thinking about how it was back in cm01/02. wasnt it the case that if you computer wasn't powerful enough it wouldn't allow you to run more than a set amount of leagues?

dont think thats the case now. it just runs slower.

I don't remember whether there were any restrictions, but that's really handy though...

The game will tell you that itself this year, thanks to the benchmarking system which I wrote about in an earlier blog.
