I really would appreciate your input to help me understand the game at bit better I have looked into

the tt&f documents I kind of understand the idea behind it,

however I still seem to struggle to put a reasonable team together that can perform for its level

at the moment I have started a game with (heerenveen) I've decided to go with the 442 rule of one

I seem to incredibly struggle to keep a clean sheet also we are not scoring a lot.

what I'm really looking for is someone to help me trying getting this team to play more as a unit

defensively and attacking now I know my team is not as strong as the likes of ajax, psv, az,

1. Too often the wingers get behind my fullbecks

2. Too often too much space between my defence and midfield,

3. And this is the most frustrating bid sometimes I just see my defenders do nothing and let the strikers just wonder past him

4. Also the loose ball in the box they just seem to not be even aware there is there ! A blind man can defend better than what I have seen

is my team not good enough? Do I need strengthening if so what attributes am I looking for please explain why for a better understanding?

Try a global team mentality, passing and closing down. Pick a sensible tempo, width and defensive line and tweak as you go as I mentioned in the other post.

1. Too often the wingers get behind my fullbecks - reduce closing down on fullbacks. See assistants advice to see if they are being skinned during the game.

2. Too often too much space between my defence and midfield, - set a global team mentality. Perhaps use a DM if you are not already. I use one DM to the right and a CM to the left.

I am currently testing rising the mentality of the winger by 1 or 2 and initial impressions have shown the winger getting the cross in before being closed down. Though need to be aware the opposition can adjust. Also, need to check the benefit of reducing mentality slightly, possibly to stop the ball being intercepted before it reaches the winger.

no one to follow it up. - Something else I am wondering about. If aimed at target man with a target man in the list but use target man is unchecked does this still aim for target man? Trying aiming for a specific area and see how that works.

7. Strikers to easily put off the ball. - Sounds like it could be a stats issue. Try lowering passing to short or increasing temp to see if they move the ball on quicker. Perhaps there is no viable options for them to play the ball. Is hold up ball checked?
