Right, so it might not be a really big issue to some, but it really annoys me, that SI don't fix an issue as basic as this. The problem is, if a player misses a cup final through suspension or injury, or is dropped, and his team wins, then he doesn't get a winners medal (in game) i.e. the competition isn't listed under his career achievements, even if he played all the games except the final. In real life they get the medal, even if they miss the final. For example, Paul Scholes (UCL 99'), Lionel Messi (UCL 06') and John Terry (UCL 12'). I posted about this problem last year and SI said that they're working on improving it for future versions. However, the problem is still there in FM17. Please fix this SI.
Hi, I love the Football Manager series and I feel that they are almost perfect. Almost. The biggest issue for me is the fact that when a player misses a cup final through a suspension or injury, and their team wins, then they do not get a winner's medal i.e. the competition is not listed under their achievements. This happens even if they have played in every other match in the cup run. In reality, obviously, the situation is different because Scholes (1999), Messi (2006) and most recently John Terry (2012) missed the Champions League final and still got a winner's medal. This is a big deal for me because FM is supposed to represent reality to the extent that it can, and this is a glaring error which probably has a very simple fix. So my biggest request to the makers of Football Manager, to the people at SI, is to please fix this issue and include it as a new feature starting from the next Football Manager game. Thank you.
Hi, This is a feature request and also a question as to whether or not this issue has already been addressed for FM 2017. In previous versions of FM, if a player was not in the starting line-up or substitutes bench for a cup final which his team won, then he didn't get a winners medal because the trophy wasn't listed under his career achievements. This happens even if he has played all previous matches in the cup. Obviously, this doesn't happen in real life and there are numerous examples of players getting medals when they have missed the final through injury or suspension. Has this issue been fixed for FM 2017? If not, then is it possible to still add it? It doesn't seem like it would take an awful lot to fix it. Cheers, ILFM
