  1. The other day I was reading someone’s fm story on here, and they posted a screenshot of the wage table in comparison with other clubs in that league.. can anyone point me towards it in game cos I’m stuffed if I can find it anywhere. Cheers
  2. Outside of the player wage budget, which budget does their bonus payments get deducted from? Is it deducted from the weekly budget or the overal club balance?
  3. Hi, To my horror, I may fail FFP on the wages side of things - by quite some amount. I've attached the details etc. Had a question around the bit that says 'Allowed Threshold' . We're over the allowed amount by £25mill (thanks Alexis Sanchez) but the figure for 'Allowed Threshold' is in white and I don't know what that means over the whole scale of things? I think I'm gonna need to sell 2 or 3 players in the January window. *Gulp* Cheers all.
  4. I would love to see the AI react more realistically to certain financial aspects of the game. I manage in the LL and more often than not I see prime-aged players forfeit a $500p/w wage to sign for an amateur club to get more playing time. I'm sure it happens on occasion, but I really can't image it's common for a player to give up that kind contract just for playing time. Another detail has to do with staff contracts. Staff often don't seem to be in a rush to resign once their contracts expire. This may make sense in the higher reaches of the game where the pay is good, but if you're making $230p/w, wouldn't you at least want some kind of job security? I imagine my u19 physio would want to know if he'll be axed or if he's free to take a job elsewhere, but there just doesn't seem to be that kind of urgency.
  5. So far I am loving FM19 and into my 4th season with Man United there is 1 thing that is annoying me so much. When i buy a star player or a wonder kid etc. i try to give them 4-5 year deals as soon as possible to tie them down to the club. But within literally 6 months (i.e. the summer transfer window to January) they have a "pre-concern" where they want a new contract. This makes literally no sense as they all have 4 and a half years remaining on the current one. Normally i would ignore this but i have noticed whenever they have the pre-concern their determination will often decrease by 1. This has absolutely destroyed my wage budget as they all want £50,000 wage increases with massive bonuses even when their current contract looks damn fine to me. Wouldn't it make more sense to wait maybe 2-3 years before a player wants an improved contract because it is happening so frequently for every single player on my team. So is anyone else having this occurrence when managing bigger teams or just me?
  6. I'm getting really fed up now as I want to be able to continue my save for as long as possible but the transfer system seems completely shot! A bit of context : My club career Rich £222m transfer budget remaining 2.5m wage budget remaining I'm trying to sign some new decent defenders and it's impossible. I get the bug that means I have no option to make an offer for some players. If I do get to make an offer, I often cant up my bid in a bidding war as there is no link. And if I do get to offer a contract, my board will only give me 100k or so to offer despite me being very rich and have been praised by the board 90% for keeping tight control of wages (which in itself is quite boring) This is so annoying.

    My Contract

hello there The last few versions have really let me down when it comes too my contract. Examples - I negotiate a bonus for winning the league (a pittance compared too real life bonus') this bonus should be negotiated as a one of or a repetitive bonus ie every time i win the league i get the bonus not just the first time it happens. The option too hire an agent would be a good one also. Clubs actually caring about the job ive done. Example - i took over Man City, no league wins in 12 years. i win 3 in a row including atleast one other trophy every season, i ask for a wage increase of 7k (we are paying players over 300k) they refuse outright too meet my demand (seriously???) Also it would be nice too have the option too select and add players too my own favoured personnel list. My last idea would be the option too take assistant managers jobs. i ask my assistant do do quite a bit, it would simply mean 'greying out' anything i couldn't touch. i mean how often do you delegate friendlies or press conferences too your assistant, as someone who starts un employed this adds a whole new dimension too my climb up the lladder.
  8. I like to work with yearly budgets, so I've set FMM up that way. This works fine in most of the game, except when stating the season expectations. Then it still shows the wages as weekly total in stead of year total. See attached image for an example.
  9. I changed the players wages to 3 euro a week per player but in the game the wages are normal. What did i do wronng en how can i correct it. thanks in advance.
  10. Hi, I'm a bit confused by my wage bill and it's effect on the Premier League FFP. I'm at Man United and in my first season took steps to get the wage bill down (Rooney, Zlatan, Schweinsteiger, Carrick all gone) . I had a nice £178m transfer budget at the end of the season and brought in some decent players but I always haggle on the wages and incentivise with good bonuses etc to make it easier to offload them if it doesn't work out. Looking on the little graph, my wages bill has definitely dropped since the start of the game, but it says I am going to fail FFP because my wage bill has gone up by over £7m per year. (£7m per year at United is nothing - basically one extra player on £135k a week would break FFP? Also, my total wage bill is only £2.5m p/w but it says my spend is £3.4m Including bonuses - How can the game calculate or include bonuses? E.g. how does it know how many goal bonuses my strikers will get? Can anyone advise?
  11. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask. I tried Google but no luck. My problem is every now anad again my players wage would jump from 120000 pounds a week to suddenly 400000 a week or more. If I close the game and reload then it goes back to normal. I have no idea what is causing this issue. It only started happening this year in the game. Only mods are 3d pitch mods. No database mods etc. I have made my own badges to the game but this issue existed in January and I only made the badges on the weekend. Also I have only made 25 so far. I don't think it's the antivirus. I tried 3 different versions and this happened all the time since the turn of the year. Other Football Managers games are fine but not 2011. I do sometimes play with two managers for matches against different tactics to see how it goes. I always resign the next day because the game eventually crashes so can only carry on with one manager. Would this have caused the issue?
  12. I was playing as Stirling Albion on FM17 and and had just agreed a fee of 5.75k for a CB from Clyde. The player was asking for around £600 per week on a part time contract. But, I was only allowed to offer £190. I adjusted my wage budget to around £4500, and my committed spending spending was £3600 - Why was I not allowed to offer more than £190? I lost out on the player because of it, am I missing something?
  13. Hello, Football Manager 2016. I started with FC United of Manchester for the first year in Vanarama National League North, and after many difficulties I managed to go to the Vanarama National League through the process of playoffs. And this is when my problems began. My finances seem great, with zero debts, a healthy trade balance and only one government loan that my team pays regularly. My budget is 570.000 Euros and while I have 300.000 Euros that remain fοr the salaries the game won’t let me do any transfers. Specifically, in order for my team to take a player or even a fitness instructor or a sports therapist, it says that I have to give 2.000 Euros from the budget that I have for transfers and while I have a total budget of 570.000 Euros,it says that I don’t have enough money. Are there any possible solutions for my problem and how can I fix it?
  14. Just have a quick question around the wages side of things, for FFP in the Premier League. This warning below has popped up this season (currently at end of August): And here are the finer details: Since being notified of this, I sold a couple of players and the projected wages dropped below the £88m target, but over the last 3-4 weeks (with no extra additions) this figure has crept up to £99.65m. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this might be to do with the rule around your total wages not increasing by more than £7m from the previous season? But this season I'm in the Champions League for the first time, so my question is that will I be OK by the end of the season once it takes into account my new & improved incomes?
  15. Football Manager Touch 2017 Android Sony Z3 Tablet SGP612 Android 6.0.1 Build 23.5.A.1.291 FM17 Version 17.1.2 I have played 10 seasons with Weston-Super-Mare and have just been promoted to the Premiership as a back drop to my comments. Humanising Players I appreciate this is a tough thing to code but I have noticed a few things which do not work in the real world of people and players. I believe this is largely around a player’s life desperation, which is not factored in to decisions. I appreciate some of these comments may be highlighted elsewhere but I have followed a few scenarios to conclusion to see where it leads. Players leaves club due to broken promises. After promising players to get them to sign for my club in the Sky Bet Championship (often sign more players) I thought I had achieved this by the volume & quality signed (10 new players). Despite then breaking these promises my team was promoted to the Premiere league. The following season (start of Premiership) these players requested transfers away from the team and signed for low placed Championship teams rather than play in the Premiere league. I don’t believe a player would pass up on playing in the top flight after winning promotion to join a relegation battle in the Championship. Success would negate promises in real terms. Players not signing contracts out of desperation. Having come through the pyramid my players are on very low wages. Mostly this wasn’t a problem and I tied all players down to long contracts. After reaching the Premiership some players asked for better contracts (fair enough) but asked for salaries I couldn’t physically offer as it was non-negotiable by the player and the board didn’t allow salaries to that level at my club (Existing £7k p/w with the player wanting £50k p/w). As I have 3 more years left on the contract at £7k I decided if you must go, then I will play you for 3 more years and let you go on a free at the end. Current salary is approx. £364k a year. I can offer £25k p/w or £1,300,000 but the player refuses. I don’t believe a player would turn down £2.8m in base salary to leave on a free transfer at 32 years old. This is without enhanced bonus payments. EXAMPLE: David de Gea was on £40k p/w with Man Utd. After his deal to Real Madrid collapsed rather than be on £40k p/w for the next year to leave on a free he took the £200k p/w for 3 years because he couldn’t turn down millions of pounds a year for no reason yet my players are doing this. Players of a suitable ability or slightly higher ability in lower leagues remain on a free transfer rather than sign for you. Players who are released by clubs and who cannot find a new club turn down a professional contract and remain unemployed for several years before retiring. A ex League 2 player would sign for a VNL team if it was the only option. Real players would have to pay the rent so if the choice was go work in Argos or sign for a VNL team then I believe plenty of players would do so and particularly youth players from the Premiership in real life drop multiple leagues to find a club and a salary. I experienced none of this. The not signing mentioned above also happens for your players. I had players leave on a free because of wages. Sit on a free transfer for 2 years with no income before signing back with my club. Why would someone go be unemployed for two years when their old team is desperate to have them? Signing new players who either refuse to talk or refusing a contract because it the salary isn’t high enough or they feel you can’t meet demands (more prevalent in lower leagues) but then sign for often lower league teams on a lower salary. I had examples of players refusing a professional contract for a League 2 team at £1.2k p/w to sign for a VNL team on a part time contract for £700 p/w because they said I couldn’t meet their wage demands. Firstly, I don’t believe a pro contract would be turned down over a part time and if motivated by money why would they take the lower offer in a lower league. A player desperation factor which raises dramatically the longer they are out of work would make smaller clubs more attractive. Club Management · Weston-Super-Mare sign a new kit sponsor in the Premiership in 2025 worth £95k per year. Man Utd’s urinal cakes would attract more sponsorship money. Middlesbrough have a £1m deal for real this season (1 year remaining) with Bournemouth’s £2m for 1 season. In 10 years time with inflation £95k is unrealistic. · Despite reaching the premiership with a wage bill of salaries £2k p/w to £20k p/w (mostly around £6k p/w) and TOTAL player purchases over the 10 years of £1.5m (nearly all 70+ players were free transfers) my team don’t make a profit and are always broke. With such low outgoing and a small stadium the income from success would increase the bank balance quicker. · Selling players is often impossible. Over 10 years I have had less than 5 offers/sales on my players of which ZERO are from unsolicited offers seeing if I want to sell (in that I didn’t offer players at greatly discounted price to all clubs), nearly all players I no longer want sit in the reserves for 1 or 2 years before leaving on a free. This is particularly strange for players who performed well. I (personally) don’t want players older than 30/31 years old. Example: My team were promoted to League 1 and I have had a player who has scored 30 goals a season for 4 seasons at 31 years old. Valued at £200k and I offer at £20k with no takers. I often have had players in the Championship or League 1 who would be awesome for a League 2 side make no offers, leave on a free and then retire. The positive to my team (but still unrealistic) if I have a super player age 22 scoring for fun each season. No higher club ever steal them from me. While this has enabled me to keep excellent players until I'm done with them in reality bigger teams would snap up talent. · I have only played with WSM but no ex internationals who are 34+ and out of work are interested in my team regardless of the league I’m in unlike older versions of FM. By this I mean players from high countries and not Congo’s greatest player. · The club keeps signing poor doctors. I have a 4 star doctor but then after a few season I have about 4 extra doctors all 1 star or less. · Not enough good statistic club staff but untested. In previous versions, you could find a member of staff with excellent stats but completely untested so you could get a scout with excellent judgment skills. · This works in your favour but is technically unrealistic. Coming from a lower league the expectations in competitions are often very low. The board would set me a target of reaching round 1 proper in a cup but I start in round 2. So I instantly score a excellent competition rating from the board. · I’d expect there would be a small chance of a small team rising fast to be purchased by a Russian Billionaire or similar. If the club is rising fast and have a value of £1m it’s worth a punt to a investor. A takeover has never given any money for transfers or salary. Miscellaneous Despite the update the unlockables DO NOT unlock after achievement. Unless I have unknowingly turned off a setting I can’t see an option to interact with the media very often (outside of transfer deadline day). Thus all my stats are maxed out on all other areas but my media bar is empty.
  16. Hi all, My issue is - I can't change the wage budget for some reason, even though I have £32 left to spend. Is this something to do with Financial fair play, or is it a bug? I'm pretty sure this is me being Lazy, but I'm currently playing an online game (started from the beta version), and we have just started the second season (at the friendlies stage) and I had a massive £242 mil budget to spend as Man City Manager. So I obviously had a lot of fun spending that. I noticed that my wages were £500k over the wage budget, so I've sold a few players and have £32 mil in the bank and my wages are now about £200k a week over. One of the other players has a similar issue with his Liverpool team. He only got £70 mil budget so he didn't have quiet as much fun as me. :-) Any help would be appreciated. Andrew
