Hola folks! It's been a long while since I last tried my hand at editing but have been sucked back in recently! lol HISTORY/THE LONG-WINDED SPEECH... Whenever I play FM, I'm never truly happy with player stats and other little niggles (I blame the OCD ), so I've decided to start up an 'ongoing update' of sorts where I will be updating player and manager stats, CA, PA, positions, etc. I have full admiration and respect for the scouts that work on FM and no disrespect is intended with this project; it's just an alternative that I plan on rolling out weekly (hopefully! lol), to give the community more regular updates, a different game database and that can also hopefully be influenced with input from the community itself. So I've waffled on long enough... WHAT'S IN THE UPDATE EACH WEEK? The ONLY update with regular player and staff updating! - attributes, CA, PA, positions, etc. Relationships - Managers fall out with a player? Friendships forming off the pitch? Staff leave a club under less than mutual circumstances? you'll see the fallout in the next update! Players' mental attributes - a player has a burst of form, a brush with the law off the pitch, a sudden transfer request or a drop in consistency, for example, will all be addressed in player stats! Teams - club rep, stadiums, correct names, new kits, etc.. Juventus FC added in, replacing 'Zebre'! Leagues - All of the promtions and relations and tournament/cup winers for the 19/20 season updated as and when results come in and correct/more accurate league/cup names added! Injuries - added/removed as and when they happen! New players/youth/wonderkids = added if/when they happen! 20/21 Season Kits - all of the kits for next season edited in! Hi folks, After falling out of love with the series for a while, I've got back into things with FM2019 and am currently contemplating creating a new retro update for a season in the 90's. However, I still have a soft spot for the older games in the series and am interested in doing a modern update for my personal fave in the entire series, FM2008. Hence this initial topic to just gauge if theres any interest for this?

Thought I'd start a thread where people can drop in and provide updates on their current Football Manager 2021 game. Can be a War and Peace tome if you want, or just a screen grab with a couple of bulleted comments. I've stuck to my guns and started up with Argentinos Juniors in Argentina. General plan has been to offload any non-Argentine players and to promote all 4*+PA players from the Reserve squad to see how they fare. I'm at the end of August 2020 and sitting pretty in the Premier League, and still in the cups. I don't face Boca until November or River until February. My fixtures are only scheduled until the 1st March so it looks like I play everyone once and then something weird happens in the league….. So far I've been Instant Resulting all the way, flipping between a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1. General principle is that I'll go 4-3-3 in trickier games and 4-2-3-1 if I'm feeling confident.

Hey everybody It is every year the same. I wish the official winter database update would be a real life update, that means transfers which happen during the January transfer window would be implemented in the database as future transfers. For example let's assume player xx plays at AC Milan and is transferred on 15th of January to Juventus. When I start with AC Milan a new save in June 2019 the player would be marked as a future transfer to Juventus on the 15th of January. I think it is a big lost of reality if players are immediately transferred (as it happens on the winter database update). In addition to a real life update there should be added an option 'don't allow transfers in summer and winter', so I could play the first season exactly as it was (will be). It should not be a big deal for the researchers > it would just mean that for example every transfer happend after a pre-defined date (let's say 1st of october) is a future transfer in the database. For the lovers of immediately transfers: SI could provide two databases, through mass mutation it should be possible to change in the Master DB all future transfers to immediately transfers. I think a game which claims to be the most real life football manager simulation should also consider to simulate the database the same way. Every year SI is working on bringing trainings, transfer negotiations, personalities etc. closer to real life, it should be time to implement a small feature to the database, as it defenitely isn't the biggest feature request. Additionally it would allow to enjoy also people like me the winter transfer update, all the new added talents and players during this update including future transfers. Because somebody who likes real life databases, for them the winter update isn't that cool ...

In short, what you have in this database: - added clubs (more than 600) have added foundation years, stadiums and home kits, - added all leagues in Croatia (levels 1-8), - added county cups (21), - added past winners for added competitions from the 2015/2016 season onward, - added real life promotion / relegation playoffs for specific leagues, - added real life rules for added leagues and cups, - added real life squads and staff for following teams: "Grasevina" and "Varteks", - added numerous real life managers in lower leagues, - adjusted reputation for clubs in lower leagues, - added real life media sources and several journalists, - added several real life agents from Croatia, - corrected some wrong data regarding clubs, competitions and stadiums already in database. Competition names are written in Croatian language, so if anyone wants English translation, please notify me in post(s) on this thread and I will make file with translated competition names later.
