So having started this twice already, Im giving it a third go. Mad you say? well there is that, but also my first attempt was with a flawed Sammarinese domestic add on. The teams were making no prize money from the domestic league, or any TV money, and having tried to ignore it, I just couldn't. Also I only had the Italian and Sammarinese leagues loaded, this time I have the top 5 European Leagues loaded. The aim is to turn San Marino into the best National side in the world and to win honours at every age group. I will be attempting to do this with 2 managers. Jack Lewis who will be in charge of San Marino Calcio and San Marino (national side) and Joe Lewis who will be in charge of SS Virtus and San Marino u21's/u19's. Both clubs will be operating under a Sammarinese only transfer policy, although academy products will also be eligible regardless of nationality. The Clubs San Marino Calcio Founded in 1959, the club have never played football above Serie C level, and have filtered between Serie C and D for the last decade or so. The Squad Not a bad starting team, but with my Sammarinese only policy, its gonna be tough to sign any improvements for now. Play offs are the boards expectations, and this might be abit ambitious. Finances and Facilities Not the best facilities, and financially we are not very secure at all. Season Predictions The media are predicting a 7th placed finish, I would be happy with that in all honesty. SS Virtus Founded in 1964, SS Virtus are rated as the worst Sammarinese side based on reputation, with a single Suppa Coppa Sammarinese win in 1998 the clubs only silverware ever won. Our aim is to turn them into the dominant side domestically, and maybe even have a run to a European Group stage. The Squad It looks good based on potential, but at this standard, those stars mean very little imo. We have a Sammarinese only transfer policy here also, so will be looking to sign some players as the season progresses. Facilities and Finances Poor all round facilities as expected, will be looking to upgrade the clubs infrastructure asap. Finance wise we look ok for now, as an amateur club we pay no wages out, so shouldn't have too many expenses. I iwll be trying to get San Marino Calcio as my senior affiliate as soon as possible, for financial and loanee purposes. Season Predictions We are predicted to finish 2nd from bottom, and with the board expectations set to "avoid finishing bottom of the league", should have a season with minimal pressure to achieve. Other Things At the start of the save, the domestic league is currently ranked as the 198th best league in Europe. Lets see how high we can get it.
