  1. I am playing as League 2 Leyton Orient. I want to loan a player from Burnley but they are insisting I pay 100% of wages. In previous versions Premiere League teams loaned most of their development players for free?
  2. I had a fantastic goalie but his salary was eating 14% of payroll. It seemed a bit excessive for me, so I sold him. What is an acceptable percentage you allow for a single player, and what was the highest you've seen (I once saw a player eating 40% of my payroll, took me a few months to get rid of him!)? Cheers.
  3. Long story short; How do I get players for my B team to ask for realistic B team wages and not first team wages? So I'm playing my Mallorca save. Found my feet in the Spanish first div. Got my B team into the 2nd div by sending all the players I slowly replaced on the 1st team to the B team. Mallorca's debt as a club made the first 2 years REALLY tough... 3 years in I'm starting to need new signings to the B team and renew a lot of existing contracts. It has been a problem for awhile that for some reason my B team players ask for 1st salary rates but I was able to get by. Problem has become severe since I can't sign new players for the B team; even total crap players ask for salaries waaaay too high for any B team player. Anyone I sign assumes they play for the first team it seems in term of salary. I can't even renew contracts of B team players because they ask for 3 or 4 times their original B team salary. Some of them I already gave them a salary they didn't deserve on the first renewal. Long story short; How do I get players for my B team to ask for realistic B team wages and not first team wages?

Hi, I would like to suggest 3 possible ideas for Football manager: First concerns tactics, I know that tactics depends of the team against but I think it could be a good idea to have the possibility to use some famous tactics from great coachs such as Michels (ajax), Cruyff (dream team), Guardiola (barcelona 2011, manchester city 2017) and name the tactics with the coach and the periodand others in addition of classic tactics as 433 or 442... My second suggestion concerns the possibility to cheat. It could be the possibility to dope players or bribe a referee with of course the possibility to be caught and suspended. And my last suggestion concerns money which is not enough managed in the game. The salary you receive as manager can't be used, so it is the same thing if you receive 100 000€/month or 500 000€/month. According to me it is a lack in the game, an improvement could be for example to save money in order to buy a club and become president. Some task of the president could be the same as the manager in football manager, as hire or fire staff people, or validate or not transfer etc... but also some additional tasks which can be implemented such as for main task the budget control with the fixation of the price of ticket or season ticket, negociation with sponsors, the possibility to upgrade the stadium, fire a player.   5. I've been requesting this feature since fm 2008 at least but I don't know why it wasn't implemented by now. It doesn't take that much time/effort and it would change considerably the game immersion. FEATURE: Implement a simple bank account for user/manager with an amount that increases year after year based on salary earned, bonuses, etc and then allow the user to re invest or just simply donate that amount back to the club (the club he's contracted with). I don't want something arcade like fifa manager where you can buy houses or boats or any crap like that but being able to reinvest would mean so much! You could slave away 3 years at man city, earn like 10 mil and then reinvest at Nottingham Forest - that would be amazing! Not to mention the added incentive or actually winning a trophy (for man city) for the salary bonus that could get you one step closer to achieving your dream (have more money to invest at Nott Forest ) But no, at the moment, the salary it's just a silly number, negotiating your salary means nothing, breaks immersion and reminds you that this is just a silly game and you could very well work for 1 euro!

Hello, so here i have a question in football manager, the manager earns salary, awards, records but what about it? its like there is no life of manager, i suggest developers to add life of manager to the game, like one day even managers child is playing football and selected in his team. suggest to add Home, Wife, Team outings, team party, more lively, places where manager can spend money, some real life problems like past career or personal life due to it professional life getting spoiled. also i would suggest stadium costs as well as construction to be in more detail. stadium designs, kit design, club name change, or any other corporate work to be more realistic and detailed more animation if possible as like, if manager could walk in office and training, players knocking if the want to talk, more talking and clearing issues. if any new player arrives and he has problems with the squad how to deal with that. and all of this with actual game play and not text based game. please see to it and revert.
  7. At the moment the salary's that certain clubs can give their players does not match the real life world. FM17 still uses a total salary budget, which can actually be used on one or two single players. For example its know that Ajax and PSV both use a salary cap of 1.0 mio euro's for their players. This is controlled by the board in order to protect the financial situation. Potentially this can be complemented with bonusses of course, but as it is now there is no player that has a 'basic' wage of more than that. I was hoping that in FM17 this would have been implemented, but as I started a new Ajax save I could see that i could offer the starplayer Davy Klaassen up to 2.5 mio p/y. This would never be possible in real life. There could be many players within the squad earning 1.0 mio (so the total salary budget is still usefull), but the highest yearly salary should also have a cap. There are many other clubs using this as well. To make this not too static, an option for requesting the board to increase the Salary Cap can then be built in. So managers can ask their board to lift the cap - making it possible to grow the club further, of course if financials (and tough board members) allow.
  8. There are some strange interactions with free agents in this game. For example, as Red Wings GM, I wanted to sign Almquist. He wanted to be a regular player, but I decided to offer him "core status." Almquist is making less than $300,000 I believe in Sweden. Probably even lower. So I offer core. He demands over $3M. Too much. I don't offer it. The next week, I offer again, as a regular player. Now he only wants $1.4M or something. Deal. I've since since this several times It seems that the role you offer sets the player's demand as much as anything. It seems to me that a player's reputation should have more clout than my offer of the role. A player is only worth so much, regardless of how I intend to use him. This is a particularly frustrating dynamic when dealing with European free agents, who will only accept offers as "core players" and this demand twice what they're worth. Why would a European, making $175,000 in the Suisse league, demand $3.6M to play in the NHL when he's clearly only a 4th liner?
