  1. There should be variations in the clarity, quality and depth of detail in the reports provided by the analysts staff. If you have great analysts and great data analysis facilities, you should have access to great reports, with a very accurate analysis of your next opposition, for example. Very clear, with a huge depth of detail in case you want to dive deeper in the analysis. On the other hand, if you have just a decent data analysis setup, you should get only a limited access to the full picture, because not having the best would mean you wouldn't have top softwares and neither computational power to generate very accurate reports as you'd like. And finally, having a poor setup would mean having almost ****** analysis, more confusing than helpful, and you'd have to struggle to make sense of what you really needed to know about players and oppositions. The way it is today is kind of a binary situation: you either have it (being the same for any team in any situation, either Real Madrid or a 7th tier team from France) or you don't, in case you don't have any analyst in your staff. I know they have attributes to define how good they are in their analysis, but IF those attibutes really have any effect, it's too subtle to be noticed. I'd like to see a visualization of how good my data analysis setup really is. If it is bad, so make the reports view bad, with some inaccurate informations here and there. But if it is good, give me an almost-fortuneteller-like description of what is going to be for us if we get some player or how my opposition is going to play.
  2. If I get a new assistant manager who is good at judging player ability, should his reports be immediately reliable? or will he need to improve his knowledge of the team´s players first?
  3. Hello, One thing I think would be a nice and hopefully simple feature to implement would be a simple mechanism for the deletion of outdated scouting reports. Preferably, by "age"... that is to say, allowing you to delete reports over a certain number of days which you could type into a filter or have in a drop down menu containing increments of time (30 days, 60 days, 90 days) etc. Additionally, perhaps a rating to suggest the current accuracy of reports as they age... to accommodate how much the player has changed. If he has progressed or regressed significantly you could recolour the start rating (red grossly outdated, orange for slight change, green for current?). Though one might argue that this would seem unrealistic, if a players match ratings improve significantly in the same league, or he starts banging more goals in, or runs less miles, has reduced pass percentage.... one could argue that the re-colouration would just serve as a quick indicator of such events and as a loose reflection of statistics already made available within the game, and if anything, a catalyst for a more in depth review of such a player by (us/you) the manager.   4. Searched the forums, but haven't seen a thread on this yet. I've a question about the reports given to me by my scouts. The issue is that I keep receiving the same report time and time again. Players such as Mbappe and Donnarumma pop up in most of the time. How do I keep the scouts searching for players, without the need to have them overlapping or reporting back with reparts that are more than a season old? Do you also micro-manage your scouts, or leave the job to the chief? In previous versions I used to send out scouts en masse when regen fever hit, often to great effect. Less so in this version. Is it because of a weak in the game, or am I not using the scouts properly?
  5. Another simple suggestion to fix the scouting system in FM Firstly can SI provide clarity as to what scouts actually factor into account when providing their opinion on potential ability? Secondly, if this isn't already the case - can the under the hood PA simply not be one of these factors? Wouldn't it be possible to use a formula - (which then also factors in scouting error) - based on current ability vs age (where he is in a perceived development curve), various attitudes like determination/professionalism etc, form and then a higher weighting towards physical attributes and more "natural" attributes that are harder to teach therefore indicating higher potential. So in essence the in-game prediction of Potential is not at all linked with the under the hood PA value. This would then fix the issue that is currently present that high PA players are too easy to spot. CA/PA suggestion on top of this could be a solution to the "late bloomer" problem. What if there was a cap on CA development based on training facilities and league reputation and then once players broke this cap or made it to the higher leagues - would see a rapid improvement even past the 25yo development cap?
  6. Just finished my first season in the Premier League and now I'm getting a report from my General Manager about every single transfer that's happening in all the leagues in the game. I have at least 40 messages every day. How can I change this so I only receive messages concerning my team or my shortlist?

Whether it is through the FM Editor or something else, I would love SI to open the game up more for modding the actual game engine, ranging from things like how the scouting and attribute discovery process works, transfers, the AI, potential ability, etc. I know it's a stretch to open up the game to customization that much, but maybe there is a middle ground to that SI can leverage the community a bit more to fix certain issues that consistently come up. What do you think?
