As you can guess by the title, this will be about possession. More specific possession with an intent to attack, to outscore the opposition. Secondly, if you have the ball you can not concede goals. Due to this getting quite long, I will include a table of content here. So what will be the inspiration for this project? Firstly and foremost of course the current Manchester City manager, philosopher, serial winner - Josep Pep Guardiola. Along with that there will automatically be inspiration taken from Guardiola's mentor Johan Cruyff, inspiration will also be tak

What's up with the insanely crazy match stats after the last patch??? I get random stats like, 20+ shots on goal with opponent between 0 and 5. And I always have 65+ % possession. But I win 1-0 or draw 1-1 or 2-2.

Hey guys I am currently managing Tottenham Hotspurs and this is my first season after leaving Barnsley. After every season I decide to make a tactic of my own but I never gets success and when I upload it here, there are just too many flaws to be corrected so I download a new tactic and stick with it for the whole season wishing that maybe, in the next season I would be using a tactic of my own but that season never came. This pre-season too I have designed a tactic and I need critical analysis from you guys. I have played just a single match (Spurs U23s vs Bolton U23s) with it and the results

Someone said that in Football Manager its easy to play possession football. Despite numerous attempts, I've yet to see the light. Still at FM2018 with Cambridge United. Managed to get promoted first season, but that was pure luck. Been using something like this as my base tactic: Our possession is toothless and shots on target is something like 4 out of 18 attempts. Needless to say, they are stupid long shots. What am I doing wrong?

Hello everyone, this is my first topic in the forum, although I have been following things for some months now. I apologize for my bad English. I have difficulty with many aspects of FM. Many things seem confusing to me and no matter how much I look, I can not find an explanation for them. Something that I'm really in doubt right now is the PPM. I'm with Tottenham, playing a style based on ball possession. I wonder what moves are best for that style in each position. Thanks in advance.

“Quantum CS” (4-1-3-2 DM Narrow) Tactic for FM19 Revision 2019.3 (Nov-6-2018) (c) 2013-2019 Xeewaj Q. Intro It’s “Quantum” ‘cause it’s full of superpositions and controversies. Be more disciplined but roam a lot? Sure. Defenders attacking, strikers defending, midfielders are everywhere? Of course. It’s called in-game “4-1-3-2 DM Narrow”, but it’s actually very wide. You get the pattern. CS stands for “Creeping Suffocation”. Why? ‘Cause it slowly suffocates opponents, restricting them from playing football as much as possible. Even top opponents will often

Hi Everyone So not a lot of people seem to be using registas in their tactics. I was wondering if someone can provide some information on how best to use the role as part of a midfield trio. What would be the best formation en player roles to compliment a regista? I have been trying to use the following formation without much success: GK WB: S..........CB: D..........CB: D..........WB: S REGISTA: S CARRILERO: S..........MEZZALA: A CF: S..........CF: S..........CF: S Mentality: Positve In Possession: shorter passing, play out of defense, work ba

This season, I’ve been really taken with Real Betis and their attempts to play attacking football that utilises the technical abilities of their players. Setien is a maverick, a man who has stated his sole purpose is to produce produce entertaining football and score goals, even at the expense of getting results. A man who has said he is left cold by modern football, he is a purist, a man who idolises Johann Cruyff and Luis Aragones. His Betis side, at times have played football at least comparable to anything produced by Guardiola’s City and Sarri’s Napoli. Here’s a video from Tifo,
