  1. For those that think it happens in the 3D match, prove it with video, and that means instructions set to early crossing and player instructions set to deep crossing, cross more and I want to see it happen multiple times in one match in the 3D engine. Even once and I'll be impressed. Many teams use early and deep crossing as a major element of their tactics, but we cannot replicate that in FM, never have been able to. The last two years during beta, an early cross would happen occasionally. As soon as the full release update came out, boom, it's gone. I do not have proof of this, but myself and several others I know have experienced this. We were looking for the frequency and types of crosses from the start and noticed a change. This could mean it was directly tweaked or is a 2nd or 3rd order effect of some other changes between beta and full release. My theory is that the SI ME code crew are well aware of this issue, and they use beta to see how allowing early (and more realistic crossing overall) crossing will affect the score lines. I think they are unable to get the defenders to defend good enough and aggressive enough to keep early crossing from running the scores up, based on data analysis they only have access to, not because I saw anything like a 100% scoring rate in beta from it. Again, this is a theory that has arisen from the issue not being dealt with. This is the only team and player instruction that is uniformly ignored at all levels of the game, semi-pro to EPL. To clarify for anyone that doesn't know what an early or deep cross is, it is a cross played from a wide position into the box, generally into the 6 yard box or the far post area, high or low, that is a ahead of the defensive line (early) and is played well before the crossing player is alongside the 18 yard box (deep). This is a cross that uses curve and swing and is harder to defend as the defender is facing and moving towards his own goal, and it's harder to execute for the crosser, but by no means is crossing early or from deep beyond the ability of the average Sunday league (accuracy, curl and pace of the cross is greatly increased as player level increases naturally), and it is seen in virtually any game of football played at a professional level. These types of balls are even played at the semi-pro and youth levels, it is not uncommon. Except in FM. PKMs: I could upload all 60 plus season PKM's from multiple teams/seasons so you can see it doesn't happen, or you could fire up a new game, any league, any team and see it doesn't occur. Importance: Crossing from deep, especially when crossing early, towards the penalty spot area, is the second highest effective type of cross, behind only crossing from within the 18 yard box or within a yard of the 18 yard box, towards the penalty spot. I've brought this up before (this is the first FM21 mention) and have never seen a response from SI development staff. At this point it'd be better to hear SI just confirm: "Yes we have reduced its appearance because it causes high score lines" or something. Many ME improvements have been made since last year's debacle, but there still remain some huge gaps between FM 3D match engine and realism. (Fair warning for those who are happy with their level of immersion and haven't paid attention to early and deep crossing: What has been seen cannot be unseen. You will start noticing how often it occurs when watching real footy and how it never occurs in FM)
  2. Was playing against Burnley when S. Boateng received a second yellow card. However, it occurred at the same time he was being subbed. So even though he should have been sent off, I was still playing against 11.
  3. I didn't know whether this should go in the match engine section or even league specific issues (you'll see why shortly), so feel free to move this thread if it is better suited elsewhere. [b]Summary:[/b] I just played a match where the opponent had a goalkeeper playing outfield for the whole 90 minutes. [b]Description of issue:[/b] In my most recent match, Legia played a goalkeeper outfield. He started off on the right wing before moving to the left, then up front, back to the right wing and he finished up at right back. I think the issue may have happened because the rules in the Ekstraklasa state that there must be an Under-22 Polish player on the pitch at all times and this goalkeeper was the only one in the first team squad (which is why it could be a league specific issue). Obviously the logical thing to do is to promote a player from the second team or to use the goalkeeper in goal and play someone else outfield. [b]Steps to reproduce:[/b] I don't think there's anything you can do, as it's an AI decision. [b]Files uploaded to One Cloud:[/b] Polska (v02).fm from before the match and Polska.fm from after.
  4. So my goalkeeper handles the ball outside the box. Ref goes to check VAR penalty given. Put they line up to take a free kick Goalkeeper is then shown a yellow card which is highlighted yellow on his name which then changes to red. he is allowed to play the whole game for me and then on the inbox page I get the message said player is band for 1 game due to being sent off in the match.

I've probably had this half a dozen times where there is a goal review by VAR and it's incorrectly given offside (in actual fact I think all VAR goals are given offside), it looks like the AI is calling it offside simply if anyone is offside whether they're involved in play or not (and no they are not interfering with play). I've only taken note of the last couple, is this a known bug? I can't find anything anywhere, how is this not a more common issue raised? I can upload if need be.
  6. I fight for the EuroCup II final. After 120 minutes I won with 2 goals, saw the award ceremony (i skipped it in halftime), but after that the news and the boards shows that I lost with penalties.
  7. Goal was scored by AI without a being shown in game. Attempting to view that period of the match show a highlight in which a player receives a yellow card but no goal is scored. Also, the yellow card shown in the engine was not recorded in the match stats.
  8. Playing as Fiorentina in season 27/28, winning 3-0 against Empoli, my centre midfielder crashes a goal in off the crossbar. Everyone celebrates, the match kicks off again, yet the score remains 3-0. We win another penalty late on, score and win 4-0 officially, despite scoring 5 goals in the game. Very bizarre and frustrating occurrence.

I have had by now since the latest patch to 21.3 exactly 3 penalties against my team that were visualy close but clearly outside the box according to 3D View (i try defensively to prevent the oponent to enter my box). In one incident ball and attacker were outside the box but the attacker warped suddenly beyond the defender into the box (ball still outside) where he went down and the ref gave penalty. The other 2 incidents where close but clearly outside the box and the attacker fell also outside the box to the ground and it still was penalty. All penalties for my team so far were clearly inside the box. Its a source of enragement and it would be nice if that could be fixed
  10. I scored a goal, there was no indication that it was offside (from a free kick) or that it was dissalowed. The goal even had a replay, yet the goal didn't register on the score card, nor the basic match analysis ect. When the match finished I delved in to the shots analysis, and it had said my player had taken a shot, which resorted in a goal. The game finished 2-0 to the opposition, when in fact it should have been 2-1.
  11. Hi guys, I was playing with 2 other friends and I had fixture with one of my friends. He won 3-2, but after the game ended and we had our post-game conference the reporters stated that I won 2-1, instead of him winning 3-2. We checked the game schedule and it stated that I won 2-1 (my second scorer isn`t even the one that actually scored the goal) and we don`t know why? Did anyone encounter this issue? I am playing as Liverpool and I have noticed so many times when my players run for the ball when it looks like it is going to go out, they get to the ball touch it and it goes out of play off of them! Never had a big issue with it in previous versions but noticed it happening a lot more now. I could understand it if I was playing lower league where the first touch is not so good but as a Liverpool player it should not be happening as much. Anyone else noticing this?
  13. For the last few iterations of FM, this keeps happening to me. As a lower league club playing a high league club in cup competitions in various leagues. I'll take the lead, then get at least one man sent off which then turns the tables of game and I end up losing the game. Even though I have a very good disciplinary record. STOP DOING THIS!!

  15. Maybe its just me, and I am in national league South, but I seem to be conceding an awful lot of 25/30 yard goals. I appreciate my keeper won't be that good, but surely the opposition being same league can't constantly be scoring long shot goals either?
  16. I'm not sure if it's a bug, a tactic or something, but every corner always seems to drop to an attacking player who counters and always gets a shot off or even scores, it seems like it is just always happening.
  17. you haven't fixed corners yet it seems opening day fixture, out of eleven matches... six with too many corners... some of them with 19, 20 If i may, blocking the shot/crosses is fine since you have particular reasons to make them critical to the game, however the blocking angle is almost all the time set towards the line. which is why Comprehensive highlight is so boring and hard to watch with corners, throw ins and etc... it was there since fm2019, and i believe it has become worse....
