  1. Hi (again) guys after my first FM18 save with VADUZ and LIECHTENSTEIN i decide to get a brake from it and start something new,for first time i will not manage from the start national team too but i will wait and try to get the job when it become available,if U21 or U19 job become available too i will apply for it....So welcome to TAURAGE!! From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Tauragė ( pronunciation (help·info); see other names) is an industrial city in Lithuania, and the capital of Tauragė County. In 2011, its population was 26,444. Tauragė is situated on the Jūra River, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast, and not far from the Baltic Sea coast. Although first mentioned in 1507, Tauragė received its city charter only in 1924 and its coat of arms (a silver hunting horn in a red field) in 1997. Notable buildings in the city include the castle (19th c. Russian Empire Customs) (currently housing Tauragė Region Museum, Tourism Information Centre), 19th c. Post office, beautiful buildings from the 20th c. inter-war period, several churches: the Lutheran (built in 1843), the Catholic (1904) and Orthodox (1933). Lithuanian, Swedish, Danish factories operates in the city. Nowadays Tauragė is famous for its car markets and Taurai Adventure Park. CLUB Well i didn't find many infos in weeki so i will use Fm's History stats... Founded in 1942,FK Tauras Taurage are a semi-professional Lithuanian club currently playing in I Lyga.Tauras narrowly avoeded relegation from the I Lyga last season. The club play their home games at Taurages stadionas and posses below average training facilities and below average youth facilities. The club also has average junior coaching and fairly basic youth recruitment network. The club enjoyed probably their best spell during 1990s.Although now enduring a nine year barren spell, having not won a competition since 2008,Tauras finished runners-up in Lietuvos Taure in 2009, and won Lithuanian 2nd tier for the only time in 2008.Also in 2010 Tauras fc finished in 4th place of Lithuanian A lyga.... EUROPEAN RECORD And for some reason they like to change their name.... STADIUM VYTAUTAS STADIUM GAME SETTINGS I used CLAASEN'S files for Lithuanian leagues. Also i add all Lithuanian players in advance option and add Tauras B in Lithuanian lower leagues with the hope they can win promotion to I Lyga.... NOW THE BIG MOMENT EVERYONE WAIT FOR........ COACH PROFILE From Greek beautifull city TRIKALA coming to change Lithuania football history..... MANAGER STYLE AND LICENSE I click on suggest option.... HIRE NEWS CLUB IN GAME PROFILE COMPETITIONS HISTORY FACILITIES FINANCES RECORDS BACKROUND 75 years old!!! SEASON EXPECTATIONS SQUAD FK TAURAS FK TAURAS B FK TAURAS U19 TEAM REPORT I will make another update in the start of season of final squad with new transfers (in/out).... GOOD START!!!!!
  2. Lusitano Futebol Clube Welcome to my new FM18 thread. I will be taking over Lusitano FC, a Portuguese club currently playing in the Campeonato de Portugal, the third tier. I had wanted to start a new career for a while now but I did not really know what to do. In the end I decided that it would be fun to manage in Portugal, since I have never really done that before. The choice of club here is pretty random, although I do like the logo. This save is going to be a pretty straightforward one club save, where the aim will be to take the club to Champions League glory. As far as player recruitment is concerned, I will limit myself somewhat, similar to what the plan was with my Tenerife save. I will allow myself to buy players, but only from certain nationalities. In the Tenerife save this was kinda vague, so for this career I have picked 15 countries to buy from. They are all smaller football nations and are picked because I like them or they are a Portuguese speaking nation. They are: I will scout these nations and have a search filter for these nations so that it will be easy to keep track of the players with these nationalities. To make sure these nations even have players they are loaded in the database. As always I will also focus on the development of youth players from our own intake. The club is a fully professional side, and at the start we are spending €500K p/a on wages (with a budget of 580K). There's a transfer budget of €1K. The Portuguese third tier has some player rules: No actual foreign player limit, just the 12 players trained by a club in Portugal. Interestingly there aren't that many Portuguese players in my squad to start out with, a lot of foreigners (mostly from Brazil and Italy). Because of this limit and the fact that are actual too few of these at the club I will have to sign a few for the first season at least, probably loan players. Enjoy the thread.

VADUZ Fussball Club Vaduz (English: Football Club Vaduz) is a Liechtenstein football club from Vaduz that plays in the Swiss Football League. The club plays at the national Rheinpark Stadion, which has a capacity of 5,873 when all seated but has additional standing places in the North and South ends of the ground, giving a total stadium capacity of 7,838.[1] They currently play in the Swiss Challenge League following relegation from the Swiss Super League after poor season 2016–17. Vaduz is unique in that it represents its own national association in the UEFA Europa League when winning the domestic cup, whilst playing in another country's league. This is due to Liechtenstein not organising its own league. The organisation is known as the Liechtensteiner Fussballverband in German. The team's first match was an unofficial match against Malta in Seoul, a 1–1 draw in 1981. Their first official match came two years later, a 0–1 defeat from Switzerland. 4. Introduction Welcome to my second FM18 thread. Forgive me for my love of alliteration. This will be a wordy introduction but I'll be getting to my usual style with screenshots soon. I’ll be returning to what I like to do best here: a single club career, with a focus on youth development, and in Spain, which is my favourite place to manage in Football Manager. It will be (at least slightly) different than before, though. While the inclusion of B- and even C-teams in the main league pyramid is not for everyone, I for one am a big fan of it. That is why for this save I will not only be taking over the first team of a club, but also the B and C team, with different managers. Since, if you did not know already, in Spain the B and C teams are represented faithfully in game as separate clubs. Most of the time these B and C clubs are former independent clubs taken over by a bigger club in the neighbourhood to be used as a feeder team. There are also remarkable stories with this, like in Malaga. The main club was bankrupt, so the former B team became the main club – and still is to this day. If I do this with three managers I have total control over the three teams and its players, and can really follow their development up close. Of course you do have to play a lot more matches per season (praise the IR button!) and there can be a few issues in FM since I don’t think this is exactly what they had in mind. At least in FM17, where I tried a save like this out for a few seasons, the contracts of the B and C team managers couldn’t be renewed even though the board offered new contracts. The only way to circumvent that issue was the use of the IGE. I don’t know yet if this is fixed for FM18, we will see I guess. To be able to do this at all you need more Spanish leagues than are in the vanilla version. The highest C clubs play in the Tercera Division, the fourth tier of Spanish football. There are five of these: Villarreal, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao and Las Palmas. (in previous times Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona all have had C teams but have since given up on them for a variety of reasons. Messi played his first league matches for the C team for instance). But I’ve decided to go for a different route. When you go further down the Spanish pyramid, you’ll keep on noticing a ton of B teams, but also a few C teams here and there. Some amateur teams even have D teams in the real life pyramid, but I did not found those in the database I have downloaded (from fmsite.net if you are interested). That database goes to down to the Cuarta regional, the 9th and lowest tier of Spanish football. There are relatively few tiers but the Spanish league system has a remarkable amount of regional sub leagues on each level (4 on the third tier, 18 on the fourth tier and much, much more on lower tiers). The lowest possible I could’ve gone was for a semi-pro club, C.F. Trapagaran, whose main team play in the 6th tier, the B team in the 8th and the C team in the 9th. Perhaps that would’ve been an awesome challenge, but a little bit too daunting (I also do not particularly like semi-professional management) – added to the fact that going this far down you have thousands of clubs and hundreds of leagues, and it just was a bit too slow, even on a pretty good computer. So I’ve gone for one that I find interesting – a decently big professional club, Tenerife. Their main team plays in the Segunda Division, and they are (obviously) based on the Island of Tenerife. Their rivals are Las Palmas, the other big Canary Islands team, who have done incredibly well over the past few seasons and built themselves up, higher than Tenerife. Tenerife’s B team plays in the Tercera division, and their C team plays in the Segunda Regional, the 7th tier. In the database I’ve downloaded that team plays in a Catalan league, which seems very incorrect but that doesn’t matter too much for me, they should be moving on soon any way. To create a bit of a narrative I’ve decided that the three managers will be three brothers. With Andorran-Dutch nationalities, obviously. The elder brother, a certain Marc X, you might be familiar with already. Let me introduce you to his siblings: Benito X, a younger brother and manager of the B team and Xavier X, the manager of the C-team. All the three managers will stick at their clubs for the duration of this save, is the plan. Don’t expect crazy narrative stuff from me like some of the legends on this board, but it’s just a little bit of a fun added thing in the thread. Strategy, Limitations, Style of Play Now onto the way I am actually planning to do this save and post here. It will not be 100% youth only, although all youth prospects will be signed every year and a lot of them will be given chances in the C and/or B teams. As for players I am signing, I have decided to take a little bit of a different route. I will allow myself to buy players, but only from nations that I consider unlikely to have great players – the weaker nations internationally. These can be nations like Andorra, San Marino etc from Europe, or Bolivia, Mozambique, Cambodia, etc. To make sure that a lot of these nations actually have players (and newgens) I have loaded a lot of these nations’ players in the custom database settings. I have not loaded their leagues but the domestic Claassen updates are loaded so that the clubs and leagues should be somewhat realistic for these smaller nations. If you’re wondering how this goes with foreign rules, I have the answer for you 😊 In Spain at first glance the rules seem really strict, with only 2 non-eu players allowed in the Segunda Division and 3 in La Liga, but then you need to look closer. All Conotou nations are not considered non-eu. Which means that a ton of Caribbean, African and Pacific nations do not count (pretty much all African nations outside of North Africa, pretty much the whole of Oceania outside of New Zealand). Usually this would not matter much, but since these are the places in the world I am specifically looking to sign players from, this will be interesting. Asian players and certain north American nations will be tougher to deal with, since it will take a whopping 10 years for non-EU/South America foreigners to get Spanish nationality. As a Dutchman I am particularly interested to see if there can be any good players coming from places like Aruba, Curaçao or Bonaire. The chances are very slim but you never know. Usually I would skip even looking at places like the minnow countries, but it should be interesting to see if some of them can become decent players or more. At some point, with young players coming in this way, and through the youth intakes, there will simply be too many players for the three teams. If that is the case I will start loaning players out. Since I will always keep around at least 5 tiers in Spain (perhaps only removing the 6th and 7th if the C team goes up the ranks, depending on game speed) I can look for teams on a variety of levels to give them playing time in league football as well. It of course can also be the case that a player is just too good for the C team but not good enough yet for the B team, or the same for players between the B team and the first team, I will loan them out as well. I will have some foreign leagues on view-only, like the Dutch, Portuguese and the PL. The only foreign leagues I will add playable are the Andorran leagues. As far as the tactics are concerned, I will mostly be using a similar style of play as I did in my previous save, a kind of direct 4-2-3-1 but for the B & C teams a little bit more simplistic so that the defenders don’t need to be ball playing defenders right away etc. Anyway, as should be clear by now I’ve wanted to do this for a while and have thought about how I would go about it, so I’m excited to finally give this a full go. In my next post I will be getting into the players, the squads and what will need to happen in the first transfer window.
  5. Welcome to my actual last thread of FM17. My last thread got cancelled early on because of save-file manipulation and I wasn't really feeling it anyway so I have decided to return to a one-club career, and one I was not going to be able to try at the start of FM18. The club I will be taking over is F.C. Andorra. Quite a lovely crest if I say so myself! They play in the Primera Catalana, which translates to the fifth tier of Spanish football. That's right, they are much like San Marino Calcio in Italy: a club that hails from a small European nation but plays in the football pyramid of a much larger one. Of course FC Andorra are not playable in the vanilla DB of Football Manager, but with a data-update it is possible. And what a moment it seems to be to take control of this club! I'm using a data-update for the Spanish system which adds the Tercera División, the fourth tier of Spanish football, and after a year of holidaying FC Andorra came up, with a whole range of other clubs. Because, if you didn't know already, the Tercera División consists of eighteen regional leagues. FC Andorra plays in the Catalan leagues (their spot in the Primera Catalana was a give away) so they have been promoted to play in the 5th group of the Tercera Division, the Catalan group of course. I've also loaded the Claassen update for the Andorra leagues, and have loaded all players from Spanish and Andorran nationalities and all players who are based in the two nations. The main goal for this thread will be to improve the club - but I don't have a set target otherwise. I don't know yet how long I will be continuing this career. At least until the next game is released, but maybe longer than that if I'm still really enjoying this save. Some more screenshots to show you what I'm dealing with: Not the best of facilities obviously, and the club has turned semi-professional after the promotion to the Tercera División. No grand history or anything, so a clean slate for me. Even though we have just been promoted, we are already predicted to finish 5th, and the board wants me to get to the promotion play-offs (top 4). That won't be easy, seeing as we've just turned semi-pro and all the players are on amateur contracts and we have zero staff. I've also not given myself any playing history or badges. This is the squad at the start and as you can see they're all on amateur contracts. Some players seem decent though, I just hope I can keep them. I've been given a 250K p/a wage budget but since I've no knowledge of players I'm not sure how easy it's going to be to get players in that are big improvements. Just one more screenshot that is of interest: The league rules. We can only register 22 players, of which only 16 are allowed to be older than 23 years, which is a real pain. All of the players already here are old and for me it's not so easy to find new young players who can immediately improve my squad. Oh well, we'll have to make do I guess. We also can only use 5 subs, which I don't like at all. But welcome to my thread! I'm going to update this thread somewhat differently than I've done in the past. I've usually done these threads (semi-)annually, but this time I'll post updates monthly, just to see if that'll improve my threads and to be more regular with it, and I don't have to wait with posting anything. I've also enjoyed other threads on here that do it like that.
  6. Introduction "It would appear as if the newly-formed Glasgow club, the Celtic F.C., has a bright future before it." Newspaper report of Celtic's first game (1888) "The unconditional support of the best fans on the continent." El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona (before UEFA Cup game in 2004) "Celtic have reinvented football. It was a beautiful night of football. We thank Celtic and are grateful to Real Madrid for being worthy of the occasion. The Scots played stronger and better and deserved their victory. May the football which Celtic play stay among us. Amen."Marca Spanish Newspaper (1967) (Alfredo Di Stefano Testimonial) The Celtic Football Club (/ˈsɛltɪk/ SEL-tik) is a professional football club based in Glasgow, Scotland, which plays in the Scottish Premiership. The club was founded in 1887[nb 1] with the purpose of alleviating poverty in the immigrant Irish population in the East End of Glasgow. They played their first match in May 1888, a friendly match against Rangers which Celtic won 5–2. Celtic established itself within Scottish football, winning six successive league titles during the first decade of the 20th century. The club enjoyed their greatest successes during the 1960s and 70s under Jock Stein when they won nine consecutive league titles and the European Cup. Celtic have won the Scottish league championship on 48 occasions, most recently in the 2016–17 season, the Scottish Cup 37 times and the Scottish League Cup 17 times. The club's greatest season was 1966–67, when Celtic became the first British team to win the European Cup, also winning the Scottish league championship, the Scottish Cup, the League Cup, and the Glasgow Cup. Celtic also reached the 1970 European Cup Final, and the 2003 UEFA Cup Final. Celtic have a long-standing fierce rivalry with Rangers, and the clubs have become known as the Old Firm, seen by some as the world's biggest football derby.[2] The two clubs have dominated Scottish football, winning 102 league titles between them since the inception of Scottish league football in 1890. The club's fanbase was estimated in 2003 as being around nine million worldwide, and there are in excess of 160 Celtic supporters clubs in over 20 countries. An estimated 80,000 fans travelled to Seville for the 2003 UEFA Cup Final.
  7. Dorchester Magpies Hello everyone. This is my second Career Update. I just Started a new save using Dafuge Rules. Since I am not a master tactician nor player trainer. I will take some liberties. I signed a few players and kept ALL players currently at the club even so I only have 24 players for the first team. After the first season I will be playing only with youth......... Here is the Club:(3 games into season) Dorchester play in the Vanarama League South and are predicted 20th. and the Manager: Staff: Assistant Coach:http://imageshack.com/a/img923/6743/OqIGlX.jpg Coach:http://imageshack.com/a/img922/56/UBOqdI.jpg HOYD:http://imageshack.com/a/img922/3658/UMxY5K.jpg Chief Scout:http://imageshack.com/a/img924/7118/sr7Nnb.jpg Head Physio:http://imageshack.com/a/img922/4260/Jdc7XG.jpg The Squad: As you can see not bad but not great either, but good enough to avoid regulation which is the goal this season! Tactics Dorchester have Historically played 4-3-2-1 Wide. Since the manager is a life long fan he will continue the tradition. (It is the formation I understand the best in FM. So it is a win-win) TI's As with all these thread comments and advice are welcome. I hope you will enjoy following this career!
  8. Welcome to my career thread for FM17. With the (re-)introduction of promotion and relegation in Dutch league football I've taken on a newly promoted club after a season of holidaying. I've chosen to take on Amsterdamsche Football Club, more simply just known as AFC. I've chosen the club for two reasons. First of all, it's my local club, even more so than Ajax is. As a matter of fact, when I was at high school, we used to have P.E. on their grounds... And now, finally, they're playable (after a holiday!) in the game. Hooray. Second of all, it's always fun to play with a second club from a city. Of course Ajax is the big boss in Amsterdam (and Holland so I like to think), so the end goal will be to take AFC from minnows to giants (or at least to win the eredivisie). A little bit of history on AFC: the club was founded on the 18th of January in 1895, making it the oldest football club of Amsterdam (Ajax was founded in 1900). In real life they are a pretty traditional club. They, like most of the clubs in the new "Tweede Divisie" (the new third tier league just below the playable leagues in FM) are amateur in name, although really the clubs in that league are semi-professional. In real life they've said they have no real interest in promoting to the Jupiler League - they are proud of being "amateur", and if you get promoted to the Jupiler League you need to have a certain amount of full-time players on your books, I think. Of course in the FM world we don't have to care about such scruples. They were champions of the former third thier division, the "Topklasse" Sunday (the amateur leagues in Holland are divided by saturday/sunday leagues) in 2014, but back then there was no forced promotion to the professional leagues. Last year they finished 6th in the Topklasse Sunday and the top 7 qualified for the new Tweede Divisie. Their ground is named "Goed Genoeg", which translates to Well Enough. Hence the topic name! Since they have been more or less an amateur club for all of their history, as a manager I will have all the history to write in professional football. I think this is challenge enough (certainly for a player of my skill level. I'm rather mediocre), so I won't do the youth challenge or anything like that. I can sign anyone I like - if the game allows me to, that is. I also won't shy away from using loan players, especially seeing that many of the smaller Dutch clubs in real life do so. Now onto the game and some screenshots. After holidaying about thirty times I finally got them to get promoted, and here we are. Manager Stats at the Start - I've decided to just take the suggested coaching badge and past playing experience, which is not all that great anyway. History & Facilities - As you can see our facilities are ... not great, nor is our history all that impressive. Room for me to improve Squad at the beginning of the season - As you can see the game had almost all of our players on amateur deals, and obviously they are not up to standards. The media predicts we'll finish 20th, out of 20. Only the 20th will get relegated, so we'll only have to do 1 better. I don't think it'll be all that easy though. Our reputation obviously sucks and I'll need to sign new players as soon as possible, while figuring out how the new game treats me. The only real goal for this season will be to stay up, and hopefully to build something of a squad for next season. I'll be planning to post two to three updates a season. If anyone wants anything as far as screenshots are concerned I'll be glad to post them here (as long as I can still take them, since I usually play a bit ahead of the posts). Hope you enjoy the ride!
